Keep Driving Reviews
Great characters, challenging resource management, and impeccable road trip vibes.
Keep Driving is equal parts charming, compelling, inventive, and emotionally evocative, making it one of 2025's early masterpieces.
A beautiful tale of life, meaning, and the open road.
A free-wheeling RPG road trip that pushes all the right buttons. Manage spare tires and drink endless coffee while you trundle to the other side of a pixel pleasant country.
Keep Driving brings together all of its systems to create narratives that unfold organically and that are easy to get lost in. You may encounter the same hitchhikers or the same quests across two different runs, but the stories won't be the same. It's about the journey, not the destination.
Keep Driving answers the question "what if Out Run took a degree in philosophy?" Halfway between a proper video game and an experience, it's impossible not wanting to keep driving.

Keep Driving may seem just like a car management sim, but it is so much more than that. It makes you take your time and focus on the necessary things; meaning it makes you think about the importance of being mindful and taking care of yourself. It is also a charming tribute to life on the road in the early 2000s before social media made adventures like this not so freeing and exciting. It challenges you with how you must continually manage your environment and self and gives you the autonomy to decide exactly what this road trip will look like for you. But, as the game says, you're young – you've got time! So, slip in a Swedish indie CD, fill your tank and get ready to experience a cosy, yet exciting road trip and if all else fails – keep driving.
Keep Driving skillfully blends various genres without feeling either bloated or lacking. The game turned out to be one of February's most intriguing releases, especially considering we only knew about its launch a short while ago.

Keep Driving is a soulful indie road-trip RPG from Y/CJ/Y Games that captures the spirit of cross-country travel through inventive, turn-based encounters and engaging resource management. Its atmospheric pixel art, grid-based car inventory system, and nuanced trait mechanics—which allow characters to learn from their mistakes—lend depth to a reflective journey. Although newcomers may find the HUD cluttered, town-level vehicle controls abrupt, and campaigns prone to ending unexpectedly, the game's meticulous attention to detail, memorable hitchhikers, and high replayability make it a compelling experience.

Keep Driving delivers endlessly replayable runs and a great vibe, but long sessions reveal fading challenge and annoying RNG.
The story behind the development of Keep Driving is, in a way, the game itself. Being young, not knowing how to manage your resources well, taking a detour, gaining experience, and getting back on the main road when you're ready.

Keep Driving is a road trip themed adventure-RPG with resource management elements that takes you on a cross-country journey in the warm confines of your car. With familiar RPG elements, stunning pixel art, tons of content to discover, this road trip fantasy will surely be a great addition to any cozy RPG fan’s library.
Keep Driving blends humor, strategy, and chaos into a game that’s easy to love and hard to master. Whether you're into deck-builders, roguelikes, or just enjoy a quirky adventure with plenty of replayability, this is a journey that’s worth every mile. Buckle up, plan your route, and prepare for a wild ride.
Keep Driving is about that brief moment of time when you get that freedom to pick up and go. Safety net? You have family. Obligations? You’re young and unencumbered. Opportunities? They’re absolutely everywhere. Each run can and will feel different, as there are so many options and multiple endings.
Keep Driving was a pleasant surprise for me. With its chill vibe, wonderful pixel art, and incredible soundtrack, I was able to immerse myself in the road and have a cool experience while overcoming its challenges. With interesting combat, plenty of things to manage, and even a “character sheet” system, it’s an RPG that was worth trying out.

Keep Driving is a chilled out car management RPG that offers simplistic battles and some fantastic visuals, with a cool soundtrack and a nice chilled out vibe.
Keep Driving shows that sometimes all it takes is a good core concept and you can run with it. Driving in your car with a shifting destination in mind, picking up hitchhikers and making sure you’re keeping up with the needs of food, sleep, gas and money gives a lot of really enjoyable experiences, and it’s solidified with a fantastic vibe and soundtrack. The journey is more important than the destination, especially when the journey is this good.
Keep Driving is a heartfelt homage to the open road, capturing the freedom, challenges, and introspection that come with long-distance driving. The management and logistics aspects are such a great fit, though the shoehorned “combat” left a lot to be desired. YCJY Games has crafted an experience that resonates with the wanderlust in all of us, offering a journey that’s as much about self-discovery as it is about reaching a destination. Keep Driving is a unique and rewarding adventure that’s well worth the trip.
YCJY Games found a perfect balance of challenging gameplay mixed with the beauty and calmness of road trips. The soundtrack immerses me in the game, giving me that sense of wonder. Keep Driving is a perfect unique blend of gameplay and nostalgia for anyone that has no plans but hitting the open road.
This is a delightful game that I am glad I jumped into with my arms wide open and my passenger door ajar. If you want to experience something special in the card-based RPG world, then this is the video game for you, my friends.
