Mega Man Legacy Collection is a solid collection of games that has a handful of technical issues that I understand being there, though my personal preference would have been to clean them up. The additional content and features do a great job of putting the bow on an already great package. Fans of Mega Man's earliest adventures would do well to check this out, especially given its reasonable price point.
The Legacy Collection masterfully succeeds at preserving the original state of the classics. While it adds new content to the fray, it serves only to enrich the already-existing experience that fans have come to know and love. New challenges and the ability to marvel at designs and audio collections make the collection all the more worthwhile. Enjoy this healthy slice of gaming history.

If you're looking for quick, simple, and challenging fun, then this collection may be the perfect game for you to download from the marketplace. Loaded with six Mega Man games from the last century and even includes a good number of challenging and timed remixes.
If you're a hardcore fan of the Blue Bomber and don't otherwise have access to the games, the Mega Man Legacy Collection is a convenient way to replay these Capcom classics, but as a collection, it doesn't compare to Rare Replay or even the last-gen SEGA Vintage Collection games that were put together by M2.
While there's no reason to choose Mega Man Legacy Collection over Mega Man Anniversary Collection, there is plenty of content here for anyone who can't easily enjoy the latter again, and the games themselves are as fantastic as they've ever been. The extraneous Challenges are nice additions, but they aren't appealing enough to carry Mega Man Legacy Collection.

Six months ago, console and PC fans were treated to a six-game collection of the original NES Mega Man games. You know, the ones you might have played as a kid, that strengthened your resolve and made you the amazing gamer you are today. Or, on the flipside, made you rage at your NES, resulting in thrown controllers and NES carts. Whatever childhood memories you have of Mega Man, there's no denying that it took the platforming world by storm with an intense difficulty, and some kickass music.
[I]f you're not a master at these games, they can very well take you some time to complete. Mega Man has never been known as a walk in the park when it came to difficulty and this port tries its best to stay true to the original feel. Fans new and old should most certainly check out this collection. I highly recommend it.

To date, the Megaman Legacy Collection is the definitive way of playing the first six Megaman games. Loving attention to detail, collection of additional resources, and a challenge mode that should keep longtime players and new fans engaged for a long time.
All of these features lead to a package created with lots of love. My only complaint is that only the NES Mega Man games are covered in this package.
With unforgiving difficulty, it's ultimately an experience that only hardcore fans will enjoy. Add in Capcom's unwillingness to make this collection best-suited for the 3DS and you have a half-dozen games mushed together on one cart with no redeemable qualities aside from the Challenge Mode and Music Player.
Mega Man Legacy Collection is just as fulfilling on 3DS as it is on consoles and PC.

The additional content is fantastic for retro gaming fans who like to see every bit of information they can with these classics games, and the digital package is a great value at $14.99. If you have ever been interested in playing the games that got Mega Man his start, this is a solid addition to any library.
Sure, Mega Man Legacy Collection could've added more games, or had an option to expand the screen to full size (and what's with the full price tag?). That said, it's still a rich package filled with gaming history, between the six original games, the museum, the music player and the NES Remix mode. There could have been more games crammed into a Mega Man collection in 2016 than just the NES titles (and, in fact, that has happened), but the current roster doesn't disrupt its mission in the slightest. That mission is to share the earliest exploits of a gaming icon with a new audience while throwing a bone to longtime fans so Capcom can contemplate the Blue Bomber's next step.
