The defining game of the last ten years is also one of the most surprising. Minecraft is unmissable.

Minecraft is so much more than a game by now; it's a potentially generation-defining phenomenon.

Minecraft is not a game, it's a complicated tool, a true phenomenon that sneaked into our culture and gained nothing short of a cult following. It's a creation of the decade, a game that will be remembered the same way we remember the classics that never get old. Yes, it requires a different approach -for example, when you define your next goal, but it can absorb you totally and deliver an unforgettable experience.

Despite the nominated negatives, the overall impression of Minecraft is perfect. It has an immersive atmosphere with which you will fly for hours like minutes. I'll take another look in this hallway, I've still got to explore this little cave, a few more diamonds, and the armor will be mine, just a minute, five more minutes. Suddenly it's 3:00 in the morning, and you find out with horror that in a few hours you get up to work, where you have to endure all eternity before you sit down with Minecraft again.

In the interest of brevity and my own personal sanity, I'm keeping this review of Minecraft encapsulated to the game itself as you would download straight from Mojang. While recreations of J.R. Tolkien's Middle-Earth and The Death Star Trench Run capture our attention and fascination, it's easy to be blinded by the grandeur and forget about the simple mechanics that make it all possible: a 16 pixel texture cube. This shape becomes the quite literal building block for vast and expansive worlds that can be constrained really only to the limit of your imagination. We have, however, collected some of […]

Taking, even if it is graphically outdated; unlimited in its features and in the things to be accomplished, Minecraft knows only one limit: that of your imagination.

For some he plays "one", for others for "five", for others for "eight", and for others for "stand!". Each of you can approach this production differently and play your own way.

Minecraft is probably one of the greatest games of this generation, possibly ever. It taps into the limitless human imagination to fuel the game beyond what most other games could only wish to accomplish.

Even without the ability to install mods and play on infinite worlds propped up by dedicated servers, Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition is still a strong addition to your next-gen library. The improved visuals and larger settings alone make for a significantly better experience than is currently available on older consoles. Granted, the title's not to everyone's tastes, but there's a reason that it's dug a path into the hearts of millions of players since its initial release in 2011 – and you'll probably have an inkling of whether you're a fan by now.

Minecraft PS4 Edition is a tried-and-true game in a solid console format. Couch co-op is extremely fun and easy to jump into, — it's like the video game version of the perfect playground. It's a game unlike any other for the PS4. Countless activities await you, and you never know what could happen. Dig in, and watch out for creepers!

Whether you're a seasoned Minecraft player, or a complete noob, the Minecraft Xbox One Edition is as addictive as all its predecessors. The game constantly keeps you busy searching for resources, creating new tools, and building or expanding your base. Meanwhile, you're constantly exploring untouched areas and the game remains terribly exciting as you're under attack every night and have to survive.

Minecraft isn't for everybody (fortunately, there's a free demo that you can try), but for those who will hear its call, it's easily one of the best games available on Xbox One. And even for those who don't catch the Minecraft bug, it's hard to argue that this is one of the most significant game releases of the last few years, and something for which gamers and the game industry, as a whole, should be grateful.

‎Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition‎‎ extends the technical limits of this title on consoles by privileging its fans and staying the course without the need for unnecessary or low-value additions. However, this also plays against it because the formula, while successful, has many additional elements in its PC counterpart and even the mobile edition has larger worlds than this version of next-generation consoles. ‎
