Forza Horizon 6 Reviews
In a lot of ways, this is my ideal video game. Becoming one with the controller and the vehicle in a drop-dead-gorgeous setting that essentially never runs out of content? It’s almost perfect, and I think it’s fair to use that word for the craft that is on display in Forza Horizon 6.

Forza Horizon 6 is another excellent entry in an excellent series, from an excellent developer. Part of me wants more than that, but I've no idea how that would work.
Forza Horizon 6 continues the franchise's winning streak, with Playground Games delivering yet another excellent open world racing game adventure.
Forza Horizon 5 was already an exceptional racing game, but Forza Horizon 6 takes everything up a notch to deliver an even more engaging, entertaining and all-encompassing experience. There's an absolute wealth of racing, exploring and collecting to do here, and that's before the inevitable live-service updates start adding even more content. Few games are as essential as this.

Forza Horizon 6 is a really fun game to play, but how long it can hold your attention will be reliant upon how much you like racing games. For me, it definitely did bring back some of those fond memories from racers back in the day.

When it comes to opening set pieces, the Forza Horizon games are undefeated. As a statement of intent, they tell you all you need to know – you...
Forza Horizon 6 doesn't shake up the series' formula too much. Nonetheless, it builds on its predecessors' greatest strengths in a spectacularly crafted open-world recreation of Japan, resulting in an unforgettable racing experience.
With Forza Horizon 6, Playground Games has done what I thought was impossible and improved upon the near perfection of the previous two Horizon games. One that I’ll be playing for months to come.
Despite [a] handful of quibbles, I still find Forza Horizon 6 to be an utter joy. Drifting down lush mountainous woodlands to a stunningly radiant coastal fishing village while Rydeen plays is an absolutely singular experience.
I’m as captivated as I am frustrated by Forza Horizon 6. It’s still the best open-world racing game on the market and I intend to spend hundreds of hours playing it – but after a four-year wait and significant competition, I was expecting more innovation. It’s simply more of the same, just on a fresh and beautiful map.

Playground Games brings together the very best of car culture within the beautifully realized setting of Tokyo, allowing players in Forza Horizon 6 to trace the evolution of Japanese automakers through machines that feel like rolling works of art, while also catching a glimpse of the future of JDM culture itself.

Forza Horizon 6 delivers the best open-world racing experience in the franchise thanks to its stunning recreation of Japan, incredible visuals, and fantastic driving feel. Tokyo and the massive map are packed with detail and rewarding exploration. While the campaign formula feels familiar and the soundtrack misses a bigger Japanese identity, Playground Games still crafted the strongest Horizon game to date.

To no one’s surprise, Forza Horizon 6 provides the best racing experience this year - even if Grand Theft Auto VI hits.
Forza Horizon 6 delivers exactly what it promises, but it doesn't really innovate on the franchise. This is basically comfort food gaming. It's fun and familiar, but it doesn't break new ground. If you're a fan of the franchise, you won't be disappointed. If you're new to racing games, Forza Horizon 6 is a fantastic entry point, but if you're on a budget, you may want to pick up a copy of Forza Horizon 5 instead, as it's often on sale.
Forza Horizon 6 is the biggest, most beautiful and most diverse instalment in the series yet, finally taking players to a dreamlike Japan. Playground Games hasn’t revolutionised the series, but it has once again delivered brilliant driving, a wealth of activities, over 550 cars and a world in which it’s easy to lose yourself for dozens of hours. It’s still classic Forza Horizon, but in such a spectacular, rich and polished form that fans of the series will be delighted.

As you'd expect, Forza Horizon 6 is the biggest and perhaps best entry in the series yet. Its recreation of Japan is absolutely brilliant too, with some truly scenic locations to visit and race across. It's just a shame that Playground Games plays it a little too safe, with this essentially feeling like Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Horizon 4 before it – but with a new map.
