Rhythm Heaven Groove Reviews
Rhythm Heaven Groove is the sequel I waited patiently for over all these years. It’s light and fun and feeds into my nature of sometimes only having a minute to play, sometimes having twenty. Sometimes I can play alone, sometimes I can bring my kids in on the fun. Sometimes I’m hyperfocused on doing great, precise work…and sometimes I’m goofing off and bouncing puffer fish on my tennis racket. Stop into the cafe, chat a bit and learn about the game. Read the comics you’ve unlocked from perfect level completion. And just groove.
Rhythm Heaven Groove masterfully revives the franchise's brilliantly surreal, audio-driven charm with vibrant visuals, catchy tunes, and stellar four-player multiplayer. However, the experience is slightly marred by occasional docked-mode input lag, overly complex secondary directional controls, and a repetitive, underwhelming RPG mode that misses the mark.
Rhythm Heaven Groove takes the series' signature, easy-to-pick-up rhythm gameplay to the next level. It offers incredible accessibility, including a TTS option that reads out almost all on-screen information, alongside a great volume of content. However, it's a shame that the input delay in docked mode isn't fully resolved across all play modes.

Rhythm Heaven Groove is undoubtedly the most content-rich title in the series. There is plenty to unlock, numerous challenges for the most dedicated players, and a core experience that remains entertaining, even if it no longer offers the same element of surprise as before. The visual presentation follows the series' established style: simple line art, fluid animations, and a vibrant color palette that never grows tiresome. The settings and characters possess that unique charm that makes the franchise so memorable. Consequently, for those new to the series or anyone looking for an accessible, fun game to enjoy with the family, Rhythm Heaven Groove is an excellent choice. For longtime fans, it offers a pleasant—albeit bittersweet—reunion.

After more than ten years of silence, Rhythm Paradise Groove isn’t just a much-appreciated trip down memory lane, it immediately establishes itself as an absolute must-have in the genre. The formula proves to be a pure fun machine, capable of combining visual humor with surgical rhythmic precision, all enhanced by tracks composed by Tsunku. Aside from the Beatspell mode, which could have been a bit more daring in terms of depth, and a few less intuitive minigames, the overall experience is captivating and, above all, perfectly in sync with the music, providing players with hours of fun.

Rhythm Heaven Groove isn’t the kind of game that will generate a lot of buzz or make headlines, but it’s precisely the kind of game that helps the Nintendo side of gaming achieve its own unique charm. In an era of widespread cynicism and creative stagnation in the gaming industry, this game embodies all the brilliance and eccentricity of video games’ golden age.

Rhythm Heaven Groove is a fun, unpredictable comeback packed with catchy music, inventive minigames, and a solid multiplayer lineup that makes it easy to keep coming back for more.
Rhythm Heaven Groove is an infectiously weird blend of rhythm gameplay and gonzo creativity, with brilliant Remix stages and a surprisingly strong multiplayer suite — even if some unnecessary D-pad confusion and TV lag hold it back from perfection.

Rhythm Paradise Groove brings the series back with an ambitious, funny and personality-packed entry, where absurd humour, more than 80 minigames and pure rhythm work beautifully. Beatspell and local multiplayer expand the formula, even if the RPG mode feels too short.

Rhythm Paradise Groove is still in line with what the franchise has been offering for 20 years: a gaming experience between WarioWare and Mario Party in terms of mini-games. The great added value of the title levitates around the burlesque character of the events, the quality of the choreography devoted to each action to which the game gives tempo, making it one of the best rhythm games on the market.

Rhythm Paradise Groove offers a new entry in the franchise, delivering 80 single-player minigames, up to 4-player local multiplayer, and innovative new modes like a pseudo-RPG. With simplicity as its banner, unlocking all of its secrets will require you to become a true master of rhythm—something that can prove to be quite a challenge.

The core minigame design is as sharp as ever, the multiplayer additions are genuinely transformative for group play, and the soundtrack is as sticky as anything the series has produced.
Even after its hiatus, Nintendo’s weirdest rhythm series still hasn’t missed a beat. Rhythm Heaven Groove's infectious soundtrack and delightfully absurd minigames make it almost impossible not to smile while playing, even if its biggest new idea, Beatspell, leaves you wanting more. It doesn’t push its 20-year-old formula after a decade away, but it’s such a joyful game that you’ll gladly keep coming back for an encore.
Rhythm Paradise Groove is a fantastic addition to the library for anyone who loves their gaming with a bit of quirk.
Rhythm Heaven Groove marks a successful return for Nintendo's rhythm series with creative mini-games, catchy music, and charming presentation. While its simple controls make it easy to pick up, mastering each challenge remains deeply satisfying. Combined with a welcome new Story Mode, it delivers a fun and addictive rhythm experience that fans of the genre shouldn't miss.

Rhythm Paradise Groove takes simple musical cue mini-games and creates a fun and engaging concept that is easy to play but difficult to master.
Rhythm Paradise Groove stands out from the crowd with its wonderfully simple gameplay and delightfully bizarre presentation. Tapping buttons to the beat is easy to grasp, but the game's constant stream of absurd, hilarious ideas had me repeatedly thinking: "What the fuck?"—in the best possible way. With more than 110 minigames, there's plenty of content, even if not every challenge is a hit and the single-player campaign could use more gameplay variety. Finishing the main adventure took me around ten hours, while completionists can easily double or triple that by chasing perfect scores and medals. Excellent multiplayer minigames add even more fun with friends.

Rhythm Heaven Groove has a lot going on, with over 80 minigames, tons of bizarre moments, and a whole lot of heart. The series itself feels like it hasn't changed much, but that's exactly why I find it so endearing; it's basically the same sort of experience that permeates through the Nintendo ecosystem, and one that I feel rightfully celebrates the return of Rhythm Heaven. The series is timeless and remains a franchise that fans often clamour over online. Thankfully, this entry is diverse and memorable, with so many fun minigames to keep you busy despite a couple of frustrating additions that do not exude the same joy as the rest of the game offers.
Rhythm Paradise Groove is a kooky, superb rhythm game that has loads of reasons to come back to it time and time again.
Rhythm Paradise Groove is not an easy game to evaluate, as it is a collection of rhythm-based minigames with extremely simplistic gameplay. Nevertheless, we could not completely resist the series' unique charm and found ourselves coming back for “just one more round” time and again. Depending on the type of player, however, your enjoyment may vary considerably. Perfectionists who want to master every minigame and leave their mark on each one will get much more out of Rhythm Paradise Groove, as this significantly boosts its long-term appeal. On the other hand, players looking for varied gameplay mechanics and other forms of lasting motivation may want to look elsewhere. In any case, we recommend trying the demo available on the Nintendo eShop to see for yourself what the game has to offer.
