The Blood of Dawnwalker is a brilliant debut for Rebel Wolves. It inflicts weight on every decision with its time mechanics, yet still lends you enough freedom to embrace those small moments that make us human. It pushed me into agonizing situations, uncomfortable choices, and ridiculous asides, all interwoven with a simple yet tremendously satisfying combat system. Small gripes about overused enemies and dated animations aren't enough to keep this from being one of my favorite RPGs in years.
The spectacular quality of its narrative, the significance of player choices, the duality of its protagonist, and the constant pressure of time make *The Blood of Dawnwalker* one of the most compelling entries in modern dark fantasy.

The final assessment of our experience with The Blood of Dawnwalker is undoubtedly positive. Aside from a few flaws in the gameplay systems (likely due to the development team's relative immaturity), the game is easily one of the best action RPGs currently available, thanks in part to a masterfully written story and superb worldbuilding. The only disappointment is a few glitches in the navigation systems, which ultimately dilute the sense of immersion in the universe created by Rebel Wolves, but Coen's adventure in this dark fantasy world bodes well for the developers' future.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is an incredible RPG that sinks its fangs into you from the moment you start playing, signalling an incredibly strong start for Rebel Wolves. Choices feel meaningful, combat is satisfying, and the time system makes you stop and think about just what you're doing when you play games. While some quests drag and there were some technical hiccups along the way, nothing made me want to stop playing this adventure that trades breadth for depth. As such, The Blood of Dawnwalker is easily one of my favourite RPGs in years and well worth a taste.
