Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Reviews
Overall Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is a genuine improvement and upgrade over Switch Sports. It's an easy recommendation if you're still into the motion sports game craze - I know I am, I have all five games and still play them semi-regularly. The four new additions are all well designed and the Leisure Sports are a great change of pace from the competitive options we've grown to love over the last twenty years.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort mostly nails the casual fun of motion-controlled arcade sports anyone can enjoy. Though a couple of activities are a little too simplified, most are stellar and control perfectly. The character customization and progression system add even more to the package, making it a great pick for family and friends at the holiday gatherings you’ll likely be attending in the coming days.
You might think that picking up Nintendo Switch Sports Resorts won’t make much of a difference—especially if your favorite sport is already featured in the previous version—but you couldn’t be more wrong. The gameplay has been significantly refined, representing a massive leap forward in terms of both hardware performance and graphical polish. The new activities, which utilize the Joy-Con controllers in inventive ways, are a highlight all their own; while they may not strictly qualify as "sports," they offer delightful experiences—such as hunting for collectibles across a stunning, immersive landscape that you’ll wish you could visit in the real world.

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort offers a wonderful return to classic motion-based sports action – even if there is some mixed quality between each offering. Bowling, Golf, Table Tennis, and Thumb Wrestling stand out as the real hits of the package, whilst Skateboarding is equally satisfying (once you figure out its tricky learning curve). Things like Boxing and Basketball don’t hit quite as hard, but there’s nothing outright bad here… there are just some sports that are more fun than others. Still, with a wealth of content to get through, plenty of cosmetics to unlock, and a variety of ways to play (or relax) on Wuhu Island, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort stands out as a real treat for sporting fans who want to bring fun activities into their living room.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is a very smart evolution of a formula that defined a generation. It’s polished, the progression and cosmetics give you reasons to keep playing, and it finally works just as well solo. The tutorials, menu and soundtrack still fall short.

Nintendo's knockabout sports series returns for its most refined outing yet; charming, wonderfully considered, and it doesn't require a room full of friends to be fun.
While the quality of its sports varies drastically, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is a fun and playful collection overall that shines as the party game it’s meant to be.
As someone who played the original Wii Sports when it first released, and was awed by the rudimentary real-life movements being mimicked on screen, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort allowed me to feel that all over again as an adult. And it’s a feeling best felt surrounded by friends.
As befits a casual game, Nintendo has pulled off something exceptionally difficult and made it look effortless. Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is a world in which enjoyment, discovery, challenge, and beauty seem to multiply the longer you spend with it.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is a triumphant, motion-controlled return to form that brings Wuhu Island to life in crisp 4K. Despite a somewhat modest sport selection at launch, its engaging single-player Island Crown mode, clever Joy-Con 2 features, and accessible local co-op make it an absolute must-play for families and motion-gaming fans alike.
After the stumbling start of its predecessor, it's nice to see the series back on track in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. While some of the 12 different sports might feel a little too safe, most of the classics feel better than they've ever been, and the newbies surprise and delight with some classic Nintendo intuition. Revamped customisation options and a surprising amount of single-player content both feel like open goals, but they also provide a great excuse to keep playing, even once the party is over. This just might be the Nintendo Sports series at its best. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a shoulder joint in desperate need of icing.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is a great sports game with a variety of options to enjoy yourself in both online and offline play.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is a lot of fun, but it's also a game that's entirely removed from standard gaming. This isn't going to appeal to everyone, but I think it's a slam-dunk for those that have kids who want to get involved, or people who want a convenient way to get themselves moving just a little bit more, even if you're unlikely to be working up a sweat. It's a lot of fun, but it's also a game that's largely more of the same, so knowing that you'll like a few of the sports is a must.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is a delightful collection of sports that make great use of the Switch 2's motion controls.
As the 20th anniversary of Wii Sports approaches, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort delivers the fifth and finest iteration of the series to date. The 12 sports provide a good variety, and while some of them continue to have the same (deliberate) control quirks that have remained for two decades now, the overall package is rammed with content regardless of whether you enjoy local or online multiplayer, or prefer to play alone.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort brings the fun.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is a solid greatest-hits package, offering a collection of the best events and features from this series’ past, along with a surprising amount of single-player content. Unfortunately, it doesn't deliver much that's truly new or innovative either. If you're just looking to kick back with some motion-controlled favs, this is a worthwhile getaway, but those looking for something a bit more novel may want to book elsewhere.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort proves that the legacy of the celebrated Wii series is in safe hands. Some sports offer fun, depth, and reasons to keep improving-while also feeling intuitive to play using the Joy-Con controllers-though it's a pity that others are less inspired.

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is an excellent package of sports games.
We can guarantee that minigames as immediate, engaging, and fun as those in the Sports series and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, specifically, are hard to come by.
