Teeto is a solid addition to the genre of collectathon 3D platformers. While many aspects of the game are quite simple, its responsive and precise controls, cozy humor, charming New Zealand-accented voice acting, and especially the option for two-player split-screen co-op make it an enjoyable experience worth checking out.

I had a lovely time with Teeto and easily recommend it to any 3D platformer enthusiast who's looking for an adorable take on the genre that feels undeniably old-school yet fresh and exciting at the same time. Hey, who the heck wouldn't want that? 🐰

I am not the target audience of this game. Nevertheless, having a considerable amount of experience as a big fan of platformers, I can say that it lands among the lower tier of them. Looking at it from its endlessly fun premise, though, I can certainly understand the appeal of dashing and jumping as the titular Teeto. Even more so when playing in couch co-op.

Teeto is an entertaining 3D platformer which, whilst it doesn’t introduce any new ideas, does a good job of bringing together the familiar concepts of the genre and offers around eight hours of good entertainment thanks to its well-designed gameplay and solid level design. Due to its low difficulty level and simple controls, Teeto is also suitable for beginners and younger players.

Teeto delivers a great blend of platforming, charisma, and humor—even with a challenge level slightly more relaxed than what is typical in modern games—making it ideal for those who want a full, satisfying experience but aren't very familiar with the genre. It is the perfect title for anyone aiming for their first Platinum trophy, for instance.

Teeto is that kind of game that arrives quietly, yet manages to win you over with its simplicity and the care put into every detail. During my journey, I found a fun platforming adventure with great exploration ideas, a world full of charismatic characters, and a structure that rewards those who like to hunt down every secret.

With a focus on approachability and more innocent fun, Teeto may not appeal to more seasoned gamers, but its innocent charms could be great for younger or more casual players

Teeto is a cute platformer with some fine displays of what makes the genre one that we all eternally love. The Kiwi humour really shines as well, but sadly I was left feeling a bit disappointed in the levels themselves and a lack of true collectathon exploration and challenge. The husband-and-wife development team has done a fine job but will need more to stand out in a crowded market of 3D platformers.

A delightful adventure that shines with charm and creativity. Teeto is a heartfelt and imaginative journey filled with personality, clever level design, and plenty of reasons to keep exploring. Even with some rough spots, particularly the steep difficulty spike in boss battles, it remains a game that radiates warmth and thoughtful design. I’ll be carrying on to find every Michael, because there’s something quietly satisfying about seeing this world come back to life piece by piece.

Teeto is exactly the kind of 3D platformer you enjoy playing. The colorful presentation, smooth controls, and relaxed atmosphere make it hard not to frequently think back to classics like Spyro and Banjo-Kazooie. The jumping, in particular, feels great, and the concept of transforming provides a fun foundation for varied gameplay. At the same time, the game plays it a bit too safe on several fronts. The level design lacks challenge, the transformation puzzles could have been implemented much more cleverly, and the combat is rather simplistic. Nevertheless, thanks to its charm, cheerful world, and accessible gameplay, Teeto manages to offer plenty of fun. With a little more depth, this could have been a modern platform classic, but as it stands, it is an entertaining diversion for lovers of colorful 3D platformers.

Teeto is simply a lovely game. It doesn’t try to reinvent the platforming genre with massive complexity or punishing difficulty. Instead, it focuses on creating an adventure that’s welcoming, cheerful and genuinely enjoyable to play. The transformation mechanic is creative, the world is packed with secrets, the controls feel great, and the overall atmosphere is impossible not to smile at. Yes, it’s definitely aimed towards the more casual side of platforming, and experienced players looking for a serious challenge may find it a little too forgiving. Sometimes it’s nice to play a game that simply wants you to relax, explore and have fun. Teeto absolutely succeeds at that. If you’re a fan of classic 3D platformers, collectathons, or simply want something capable of brightening your day, this is an easy recommendation.

Teeto is a 3D action platformer and collect-a-thon that harkens to its late 90s inspirations in both mechanics and personality. The writing and voice performances are enjoyably eccentric, and the plot is streamlined. The game boasts an ample moveset for traversal and combat, and exploration is rewarding without being overly demanding. A perfect game for those looking to jump around a big playground and collect little guys for nine hours or so.

Teeto is a delight, from its wacky world, characters, and humour, to its creative power-based puzzles and platforming. Though the sound design and enemy variety may be lacking, its polished gameplay and thoughtful design create a thoroughly enjoyable 6-8 hour 3D platforming experience that feels right at home in 2026 as it would have done in 1996.
