Graveyard Keeper 2 is a fantastic sequel that delivers in almost every way. It's got some serious upgrades from the original, but more than that, the overarching story is phenomenal. While some of the old-school design choices make the game a little obtuse, the game still has a lot to offer. If you're looking for a dark, cozy game to take the hours away, then Graveyard Keeper 2 is for you.
There’s probably an audience for Graveyard Keeper 2, the kinds of people who achieve fulfillment from spreadsheets and min/maxing every ounce of video game they ever lay hands on. That’s descriptive; I’ve met people like that.
Either way though if you are a fan of cozy games and want to try something a little different, you should tray Grave Keeper.
Graveyard Keeper 2 is everything I wanted in a sequel, and technically, aside from technical issues, is a great grim cozy game sim.
Graveyard Keeper 2 is larger, funnier, deeper, and more confident than its predecessor. It transforms a cult management game into one of the most distinctive and absorbing simulations available. Whether you are restoring the cemetery, exploiting your undead workforce, or marching a zombie army into battle, every part of the experience delivers something memorable.
It's time to take on the zombie apocalypse with your graveyard business!
Graveyard Keeper 2 impresses with its huge scope, sensible new combat and defense systems and morbid humor, a clear recommendation for fans of deep management, even if its progression could be noticeably streamlined.

While Graveyard Keeper 2 looks and sounds great, with increased gameplay elements and an improvement from the first iteration, it’s a game that leans too heavily on tedium where the in-game grind is no longer cozy; it’s just plain ol’ grind.
This is a game that lets you do just about anything, and if you're wondering what the best way to play it is, it's simply the way that's most fun for you.

Graveyard Keeper 2 is at its best when all those systems finally start connecting. What begins with one graveyard eventually becomes an economy, a factory, a military operation, and a rebuilding project. The journey is slow, sometimes confusing, and occasionally repetitive, but the progression has a clear purpose.
Much like the original, this more morbid take on a life sim has its quirks, and can feel grindy, but stays entertaining with its unique approach and sense of humor
Graveyard Keeper 2 is for those who enjoy being fully immersed in a complex system. Despite its inviting aesthetic, it isn’t a relaxing game, and it makes no effort to go easy on you during the opening hours. However, those patient enough to get past the learning curve will discover one of the richest, oddest, and most entertaining simulators of recent years. Fans of the original can buy it without hesitation. Newcomers should be prepared: there is a lot of hard work involved and that is precisely where the fun lies.

Graveyard Keeper 2 is a bigger, more ambitious sequel that expands its wonderfully morbid management formula with deeper automation, town restoration, a stronger story, and the series’ signature dark humor. Faster movement and improved travel address some of the original’s frustrations, but excessive grinding, poorly explained systems, repetitive fetch quests, simplistic combat, and technical issues, particularly on Steam Deck, mean that many old problems remain buried just beneath the surface.

Graveyard Keeper II is a true successor to the 2018 game. It has its areas for improvement, such as the many missions, the confusing point systems, and the lack of explanation for a long list of gameplay items. The game, however, has a lot of good, including the great music, stunning art, fun dialogue, and humor.
Graveyard Keeper 2 builds on the foundations of the original with a deeper and more refined management system, combining farming, crafting, alchemy and zombie automation into an entertaining experience. Its complexity can be overwhelming at first, but those willing to invest the time will discover a rewarding and surprisingly humorous adventure.

Despite many criticisms, Graveyard Keeper 2 is extremely fun and addictive. The bureaucracy created to keep you constantly moving in the game is understandable, but it's done in a not very fun way. I'm sure that by the end of the game, with everything practically automated, these bureaucracies will be trivial, but some players might quit before reaching that point. I encountered many bugs, mainly in the zombie mechanics, which get stuck or don't seem to be working as they should, but this should be fixed quickly. Graveyard Keeper 2 inherits the lack of rhythm and clarity of its predecessor, but also brings the fun of the first, leaving a more positive than negative impression for those who invest time in it.
Honestly, Graveyard Keeper 2 has been a great experience with dark themes and humorous interactions with all the characters. I like how there is a crazy variety of things to do and easy to follow charts to keep track of what you can create and what you have yet to research. It also fits perfectly with the fast approach of spooky season and is the great continuation of Graveyard Keeper.
Graveyard Keeper 2 is perhaps one of the most interesting titles in its genre, delivering an incredibly unique premise, a story full of dark comedy and familiar, genre-beloved gameplay with some great quality-of-life
I can’t wait to spend more time with Graveyard Keeper 2. It truly feels like a natural continuation of the original game with additional mechanics (I didn’t even mention the battle events!) alongside familiar ones. Make sure you say hi to Larry the Skull and the Donkey too! A beautiful life sim game with an insane amount of depth, it couldn’t be anything less than the Thumb Culture Platinum Award.
Graveyard Keeper 2 is a no-brainer for cozy gamers who want a sense of challenge and fulfilment when completing the parts of a life sim that make you come back for more — the cozy part.
