Its absurd humor did give it a distinct flavor, but with the meaningless rewards and progression this wasn't a game I really wanted to stare at for too long. Because in the end that made me a bit too aware of how hollow it feels. Sniper Dan is a competent game, but once you've shot your shot, that is about all I can say.
It’s weird, it’s different, but it’s surprisingly well executed and has an upbeat cheer that straddles the line of plasticine without ever going too saccharine. It works, and I think it would work even better on PC, but still works great on Switch 2. I actually really liked hunting around to fix problems with bullets and patience, and I would definitely play some DLC if it ever came out. But man, I really gotta meditate on my position in the world after this one.
In the end, Sniper Dan proves that you don't need cutting-edge graphics to deliver a fun gaming experience.

A hidden object game packed with wacky shenanigans as far as the eye can see, Sniper Dan is a surprisingly fun time that your family can join in with too.
Sniper Dan is an absolute treat, taking a mechanic usually reserved for shooters and flipping it into a charming puzzle experience. The core loop of scoping out silly problems and fixing them with a well-placed bullet is brilliantly executed, and with a good selection of levels to play through, a good bunch of collectibles to find, and optional tasks and mini-games to get stuck into, there’s plenty to enjoy here. If you’re looking for something light-hearted, charming, and just a little bit silly to spend a few hours with, Sniper Dan absolutely hits the bullseye.
Sniper Dan is one of those games that manages to do a lot with very little. Its gameplay is extremely simple, and practically everything boils down to aiming and shooting, but Denki Ltd. found creative ways to use this mechanic to create interesting challenges, unexpected situations, and an absurd number of moments that made me laugh during my playthrough. The problem is that this creativity also reaches its limit. After approximately 10 hours, having already completed practically everything the game offers, there's little reason left to continue playing.

Sniper rifles usually spell disaster for those on the wrong end of one, but in Sniper Dan it becomes a tool to help people. That the game manages to pack so much to do within what is a singular method of interaction is excellent, and there are so many extra challenges to find that it’ll last you quite some time indeed.
