SpeedRunners Reviews
If you're after a new addition to your social multiplayer pile, this is an easy sell. Sure, it's a little old considering its long history on myriad platforms, but it's hard to deny just how enjoyable and easy it is to pick up, even for younger Nintendo Switch owners. The support for local and online multiplayer is great, as is the ability to play through the story mode solo, but the intermittent issues with performance in handheld mode does put a few wrinkles in this hero's costume.
SpeedRunners has officially become a title I will continue to enjoy coming back to for playing with friends and for satisfying my inner speed running dreams. While the single player experience is lackluster in execution and how the bots are controlled leaves much to be desired, the real winner of this title is the multiplayer and the amount of modes to quench any fan of speed running. Its addictive gameplay and unique approach to playing party games offers hours of replayability, all the while remaining fun to play. Go and get your friends, on or offline, and enjoy one of the best multiplayer experiences of the year.
SpeedRunners is simple but fun, and is definitely made more fun with the addition of three friends.
While there is plenty of depth to be found in SpeedRunners, it’s surprisingly a simple game to get into.
Speedrunners is a fantastic party game, but remember that necessitates there be a party first.
Speedrunners is based on very simple concept, but still it's lively, and with its skill based matches, velocity can be felt in every single frame. Thanks to its well designed multiplayer mode, the DoubleDutch work can also be played as quite peculiar party game.

My time spent with Speedrunners on the Switch was more than enough to change my mind from my previous impression. Overall, it's a solid game for single players, but local co-op is a blast and should be welcome at any gaming party.
SpeedRunners is a perfect party game, with a deep competitive scene. A worthy title for any Steam library!
To sum it up, SpeedRunners is an excellent game for arcade racing game fans everywhere. Its controls are simple, its gameplay is addictive, and its Saturday morning cartoon vibe all combine together to make this game an instant classic that will have you racing again and again and again, just for the satisfaction of moving up in the rankings and finally putting that smug guy in the cosmonaut suit in his place.
Underneath the game's clumsy exterior is an experience well worth sharing with friends at home and visitors online.
SpeedRunners is a quick classic. It pulls the bests parts of several genres into one game.
The graphics, though 2D, are stylised in a way that make the game more visually attractive than other platformers who try and force 3D graphics
Whilst SpeedRunners may be a long way from any action-packed blockbuster, there is certainly enough included to warrant dusting it off every once in a while for some multiplayer madness.
However, the lack of multiple modes and sparse single player content make this package feel like more of a mini-game. With the Switch hosting hundreds of multiplayer games that deliver a similar but fuller experience, like Runbow, it's hard to recommend this one. If you're looking for a more robust multiplayer experience, you may want to look elsewhere.
SpeedRunners is the very definition of couch co-op excitement. Getting together 3 other friends and racing around a track, with physics and controls this tight, is thoroughly enjoyable. While the art may be a miss, and some further explanation of the game would definitely help, this is a game that is definitely meant to be explored with other players. Get a group together, and get ready to take off, because SpeedRunners is doing anything but slowing down.
While I will admit I'm not a fan of speedrunning games, I will say this game will definitely appeal to the speedrunning community because of the challenge, as well as to regular gamers alike. The game is certainly not for everyone, but there is a lot of fun to be had with this fast-paced and action packed release!
It may be a few years old but SpeedRunners holds up fantastically and it's a must-play for any local multiplayer enthusiast.
This is one of those popular indie titles that seemed like a natural fit for the Switch so it's odd that it took so long to get here but I'm glad it has arrived...
SpeedRunners has finally made its way to consoles and we're very happy about it. It's not perfect, and is very much one experience, but it's going to keep you busy as hell if you stick at it and is a cracker of a local multiplayer. Don't miss it.
SpeedRunners is a well-designed game that’s sure to take a spot at LAN Parties, despite it’s bad matchmaking and minimal single-player content.
