LawBreakers' greatest attribute lies in its great low-gravity combat paired with a solid roster of characters. Having said that, the game modes lack any creativity, which results in a game that doesn't have enough charisma to define itself.

Overall Lawbreakers is fun and I've enjoyed my time playing it. But it remains to be seen if it can garner and maintain a healthy player base.

LawBreakers offers innovative gameplay and an in-your-face attitude, and the gameplay part, at least, succeeds more than it fails. The game will have to fight to survive, but there's fun to be had and incredible skins to unlock by playing right now.

While LawBreakers isn't the most popular game on Steam right now, it's not something you should ignore. For FPS fans clamouring for something new and innovative, you have finally got what you've been asking for. If you are looking for a game with a high skill-ceiling that tries to bring new ideas to the table, definitely consider picking up LawBreakers.

One sign of any worthwhile team-based shooter is a level of accessibility where everyone feels they can contribute no matter their play style, and Lawbreakers succeeds in this manner. [OpenCritic note: Miguel Concepcion separately reviewed the PC (8) and PS4 (7) versions. Their scores have been averaged.]

Despite some superficial similarities to other recent multiplayer focused games, LawBreakers is ultimately its own beast with challenging, deep gameplay that succeeds thanks to the unique movement system, low-gravity combat and fun, varied classes.

Overall, Lawbreakers is a fun game to play. It’s a game where you can unwind and relax despite the chaos and frenzy that happens in game. It’s a game where you can feel like a pro or develop your skills as a pro. It’s a game that is inviting to any type of players, may you be someone new or someone who’s a veteran in shooters. It’s an entertaining game while it lasts but for how long, it is still up to its playerbase.

An unusual, extremely fast hero-shooter, that lacks a convincing design and consistent gameplay.

Excellent gameplay and mechanics are bogged down with lifeless characters, forgettable maps, and game modes that lack distinction from one another

In its best game modes, LawBreakers manages to make simply moving around feel amazing. Learning how to fall with style in the most deadly way possible is a thrilling challenge. Getting stuck playing a weak mode and map thanks to the grab-bag matchmaking can be frustrating, but it doesn't ruin an otherwise fast and tense shooter that lets you gleefully propel yourself through low-gravity with rocket boots and miniguns.

LawBreakers is an intense FPS where mobility is just as important as precision aiming. Learning how to fall and fly requires a bit of a learning curve but that's the thrill. Using gravity to your advantage and plowing through enemies as they were confetti.

If you gave me the choice between playing Overwatch and playing LawBreakers, I’d choose this. This is a game where any class is helpful and doesn’t have to rely on strict roles to be successful in each match. I do wish the tutorials would acclimate people better into the game, but it isn’t hard to grasp on your own. The modes, classes, and weapons all look and feel the sci-fi part. The biggest crime in LawBreakers is that not enough people are playing it. For what’s here, LawBreakers is a steal at its price, and an absolute blast to play solo or with friends.

Lawbreakers will forever be compared to Overwatch, but its much more than a clone. Thanks to the developers' roots, the fast-paced action calls back to the arena shooters of the old days. This-class based shooter successfully break the unwritten laws of the genre.

The fact that a single person can completely stop an enemy team’s push with a single stall or frag, evolves the team play to a whole other level, making LawBreakers one of the best , if not the best skill-based shooter on the current gen consoles.

Lawbreakers is a fun and unique experience. The amazing thing about this game is the fact that everything on it is built around the crazy speed of it. The abilities of the characters, the maps, modes and the gravity elements are all enforcing and encouraging the players to master the movement mechanics. The games has some issues, most of them could be patched such as the hitches and the matchmaking system.

Despite carrying a steep difficulty curve, LawBreakers is a blast to play once you manage to master the gameplay. The net code is also excellent for a multiplayer shooter resulting in a smooth experience overall.

LawBreakers is a mess, but a good mess; it is one that tries to hit a ton of marks all at once and only misses a few. I worry about its meager content offerings in a crowded, already saturated genre. If LawBreakers can coast for a while on its solid core, hopefully its intended audience will find it and stick around.

With eight different classes that feel completely unique from each other, and the zero gravity mechanics that can yield firefights the likes of which have not truly been seen before, LawBreakers makes a mark of its own in an increasingly crowded genre.

LawBreakers is truly a wild ride. No other game delivers crazy and dynamic battles with no gravity like this one. With many classes and modes, you NEED to try it for yourselves.
