Horizon Zero Dawn Reviews
All in all, it's a great game, it's Guerrilla's strongest release to date, and I suspect I'll go back in after the fact to clean up whatever side quests and errands I have remaining, if only to spend a little more time in that world.
If you went into Horizon Zero Dawn without knowing a thing about it, you would never guess that this open-world RPG comes from Guerrilla Games - the studio behind weighty first-person-shooter series, Killzone.
Horizon Zero Dawn is Guerrilla Games’ crowning achievement in video game development.
Blending familiar gameplay with a stunning new world and dynamic lead character, Horizon is a tour de force for Sony's console
Horizon Zero Dawn is an early contender for game of the year. Guerrilla Games has outdone themselves, in astounding fashion. This is a glorious game, the result of a team of masterful artisans who not only had a story that they wished to tell, but a world that was living inside of them which they wanted to share with us all. Now, we get to play inside their creation, and it is a breathtaking experience to behold. A massive, open world filled with equally massive, terrifying robots, juxtaposed against the beauty of the Earth, nature fighting back the darkness as it tends to do. Horizon Zero Dawn is the kind of game you play to get lost in, and can be enjoyed by players of all types. This could be the beginning of a stellar franchise, and there is something for everyone here. If you own a PS4, you owe it to yourself to give Horizon Zero Dawn a go.
Horizon Zero Dawn is a treat to every PS4 owner. Its magical world is a wonder to explore, it controls and looks exceptional, and the unique, modular build of its enemies ensures that combat never gets old.
Amsterdam-based studio Guerilla Games, best known for PlayStation's grim but visually impressive Killzone franchise, spent more than six years on Horizon Zero Dawn, and it shows: in the beauty of the game's visuals, the depth of its backstory and the tightness of its design. Hopefully this isn't the last we'll see of this high-tech savage land. (Horizon Forbidden West, maybe? Please?)
Guerrilla Games has broken free from the claustrophobic limits of linear shooters and has spread its wings with a gorgeous open world RPG that sets itself as a strong contender for game of the year… and it’s only February.
Horizon Zero Dawn creates a world that captivates you just by the very act of having you feel as if you're living within it.
Horizon: Zero Dawn is a game that you owe yourself to experience.
Horizon: Zero Dawn is a testament to the hard work and passion of every individual at Guerrilla Games.
Horizon: Zero Dawn is definitely a game equal to The Last of Us or God of War series. It's a must play for open world and RPG players.

Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the best games of this generation. Whilst it borrows elements from other games, it melds them into a seamless experience that sets a new bar for open world games.
Horizon Zero Dawn truly expresses how videogames nowadays are an art form, if not only through its visuals and storytelling, then certainly through its expertly incorporated combat. A glee-filled experience through and through.
Horizon entices me to come back for more, there was never a time that I got bored with its side-missions which I usually care less in most RPG titles. Horizon: Zero Dawn is by far the best cinematic and most immersive game I’ve played this year.
This was truly one of the best games I've ever played and Horizon Zero Dawn provided just an absolutely amazing world to explore.
Horizon Zero Dawn is nothing short of a masterpiece that elevates Guerrilla Games to the likes of Naughty Dog and CD Projekt Red. The unique, engrossing story, complex and fast-paced gameplay, absolutely gorgeous open world to traverse, and so much more are brought to life thanks to the Killzone developer. The game has genuinely made it into my top ten list of all time and will probably make it higher once time has passed. There's nothing that should stop you from buying this title if you have a PlayStation 4. Hell if you don't have one, buy a system just for this game. This isn't just a magnificent RPG video game, it's a journey that everyone should experience.
I’ve been playing Horizon Zero Dawn and while I was playing I discovered a lot of different things that i enjoy.
Guerrilla Games have struck the perfect balance of exploration, dungeon crawling, and combat in Horizon: Zero Dawn in one of the most visually stunning games of this console generation. It really took some balls to develop a new IP in a genre they almost have no experience in, but their gamble has paid off. Which allows me to wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone out there.
Horizon Zero Dawn is a game that almost every owner of the PlayStation 4 should experience sooner or later. It doesn’t just appeal to roleplaying game fans or action adventure enthusiasts. This is a game that almost everyone can enjoy in some fashion, and it shows with how well the game has been performing since it’s release one month ago. This is an impressive piece of art for both Sony and Guerrilla Games, and we simply cannot wait to see what is coming next.
