Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Reviews
If you don't own a Switch and you've already done Mario Kart 8 on Wii U, then there's no reason to fall for this iteration that brings too little to the bottom. In all other cases, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the most accomplished experience of the saga, with a gameplay with small onions and a consequent game background.

Nintendo fixes one of Mario Kart 8's only shortcomings in a generous port of a modern masterpiece.
"Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" is so complete that it made me wonder how the original Wii U release even made it to shelves in its original state. This is everything kart fans could want from the series: fast action that can be enjoyed by beginners and seasoned veterans, plenty of unlockables, an assortment of tracks and fun modes for parties. This is the new pinnacle for the "Mario Kart" series. Nintendo was smart to take us on another lap around the track.
Online play for up to 12 people, local multiplayer for up to eight players - this alone will make Mario Kart 8 Deluxe a must for many. Throw in how it does not drop in quality in the slightest when in portable mode, and suddenly the old Mario Kart 8 from Wii U becomes even more enticing. With extra polish, all DLC content included, plus various tweaks to improve the experience, Nintendo has delivered the ultimate Mario Kart experience for all comers, new and old, alike.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the second must-buy game on the Nintendo Switch (after The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild), and it's the most comprehensive Mario Kart game to date.
This is undoubtedly the biggest, funniest and best Mario Kart ever. If you already have the new Nintendo console, well, it's a no-brainer, really. If you don't, well, it could be the right time to Switch.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe plays exceptionally well and its pick-up-and-play nature feels right at home on Nintendo Switch. There may not be any game-changing additions, but new items and characters, as well as an insanely fun Battle mode, help round out an already-impressive package.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the natural evolution of arcade racing par excellence of the praiseworthy and unfortunate library of the old and dear Nintendo WiiU. A real definitive edition, aesthetically at the top of the form, stunning from the point of view of content, and in short almost a moral obligation for those who had never had the opportunity to get their hands on the title and the respective add-ons in due course.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the most complete and rich version ever made by Nintendo for its racing game, thanks to the new Battle Mode and the graphic upgrade from the Wii U edition. The new characters and the endless online multiplayer capabilities make it a must-buy for any owner of the brand new Nintendo Switch console.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a lot more than just the “complete edition” – it’s the only edition that exists from this point forward.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the definitive edition of one of the best games ever created by Nintendo. You must play this title no matter what.

The best Mario Kart game ever is back... even better, with a Battle Mode that has finally been fixed. Playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe anywhere, anytime is (almost) priceless.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a decent upgrade for anyone in the need of one. It has a very solid Battle Mode that made me more happy than I thought. Next to that, it has all of the content you adored from the original plus the downloadable content baked into it.
Unless you're the ultimate fan of Mario Kart, there's no reason to get the Switch version if you have the original for Wii U. That's because even if Battle Mode was the missing piece in this puzzle, you're paying full price for an extra mode and the access to play additional characters. ¿You never had a Wii U and Switch is you're first Nintendo console since a long time? Don't hesitate to get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, altogether with Breath of the Wild is the best that the console has to offer and it will give you tons of entertainment.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is another must have title for the Nintendo Switch and is a racer that is accessible by everyone, whether a veteran gamer, casual gamer or even someone who has never played before. So if you're looking for some great racing fun on the Switch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on all levels… it's a me, Mario Kart!
At the end of the day, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a fantastic port of the original MK8 on the Wii U. Far from just being a simple re-release, Nintendo threw in all the DLC from the first incarnation, then proceeded to add in extra content and a whole pile of improvements on mechanics. That alone makes it worth the full retail price of the game, and shows that Nintendo does care about the thoughts and feedback of its players. My only criticisms are points of personal preference, they’re not deal breakers in any way, and are really just a reflection of my desire for further refinement of what’s already there. If anything, they just make me realise how much I’d love a “Mario Kart Ultimate,” pooling the very best from across the series’ history. Whether you missed MK8 on the Wii U, or have long since been done playing with it, Deluxe has something to offer for all players and is absolutely worth picking up.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the perfect follow up to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It's fun regardless of whether you're playing alone, with friends on the couch or taking the race online. It lends itself perfectly to the portability of the Nintendo Switch and there's just enough new content to warrant a purchase for those that owned the original game on the Nintendo Wii U.
