Your quest to become the filthy, stinking rich CEO of Vostok Inc. is an entertaining ride that’s never short on humour-laden dialogue. Using wormholes to warp to other solar systems lends constant surprise in the species that you encounter who will oppose your financial pursuits. It is the relentless grind that is ultimately the weak point, letting down the successes that the game scores in other areas.

Vostok Inc. has the merit of trying to merge point & click mechanics with those of a shooter game. By itself, this is something that should be commended. The problem is it doesn't really achieve anything significant with this effort and the shooter component feels shallow and uninspired. At the same time, the game ends up becoming too repetitive and doesn't have much to offer once its novelty factor dissipates.

Vostok Inc. is something of an oddity. It offers some competent shooter mechanics dressed up with some playful satire, unique concepts, and plenty of gameplay for those who seek it. But the overall experience feels lacking, uneventful, and repetitive, especially when it comes to the click-fest sim components.

In general, this is a game that can be repetitive, but the desire to earn more and more money and have more buildings and constructions can be the key to getting you hooked.

Vostok Inc. is pretty good, but the grind does become frustrating; however, it's easier to put in short periods of time on the go, eventually leading you to amass that huge galactic empire, so the Switch is a very suitable host.

Vostok Inc. is one of the year's most addicting games, seamlessly combining two genres into a beautifully executed sci-fi capitalism shooter. It's not all that robust or complex, but the sheer thrills will get your inner money goblin going, and once that happens, there's no coming back.

Vostok Inc. is a fun little retro-inspired SHMUP which gives you the freedom to fly around solar systems as you please unlike most games from the genre which scroll automatically. It has a ton of resource management which will appeal to many fans of games like The Sims or Civilization. I don't personally like many shoot 'em up games, but thanks to the resource management and RPG elements in this game, I just couldn't put it down. And even once the game started to get repetitive, I started finding executives who gave me access to a great many mini games that pleasantly took me back to my childhood. While this game isn't going to blow people away with its visual prowess, storytelling capabilities or music, it will entertain most people who get it for a fair amount of time. I enjoyed this one quite a lot and will give it a very solid 8/10.

Vostok Inc. takes the cookie clicker genre, often played with a fleeting attention span, and spins it into an experience that you can't put down. The amount of different spinning plates to consider when constructing your capitalist, galactic empire is a challenge that is only made more satisfying by the pleasing music, graphics and varying space combat. It's a great game.

While it’s easy to imagine how those well-versed in clicker games may find this one decidedly less-alluring...its charming personality and neat hybridisation of genres nevertheless helps keep it on the right side of addictive.

Vostok Inc's blend of money-generating ‘clicker' gameplay and frantic twin-stick shooter action works well; as you find yourself getting to grips with the necessary procedures and start to have a system in place, you'll find an increasing amount of fun in the game's upgrade systems, combat, and exploration.Unfortunately, this fun reaches a peak around halfway through your adventure as you realise that you're spending an awful lot of time doing the exact same things over and over again. Vostok Inc is a good game that will definitely provide you with several hours of enjoyment and, if you like the sound of its mixed genre, we'd encourage you to try it out – just make sure you're ready to follow similar tasks for a long time if you do.

Vostok Inc. is a combination of twin-stick shooter with management game. This capitalistic action game makes you accidentally conquer planetary systems, sow discontent in the galaxy and get reach in the meantime.

Seeing your mild-mannered business associate argue with aliens is very funny, until it starts getting old. When that happens, the smile-worthy sheen of the blending of shoot-'em-up and clicker starts to fade, revealing that Vostok Inc. doesn't really do either that well. Charm can only go so far, and unfortunately, the charm here doesn't hide the repetitive, stale gameplay.

While Vostok Inc isn’t a terribly complicated game there’s an element to it that can get its hooks into you. I’d say in a way that’s very similar to something like Stardew Valley you can get into a pattern of habits that are somewhat relaxing. Blow up asteroids, upgrade planets, get in some fights, upgrade your ship, take out a boss, move onto the next galaxy and repeat. The addition of the game’s very strange sense of humor at times as you’ll interact with the representatives from each galaxy helps keep things light as well and many of the game’s seemingly infinite achievements are laced with comedic undertones as well. I started playing Vostok Inc expecting to have some silly fun, the fact that it turned out to have some depth and hidden surprises throughout was just icing on the cake.

Vostok Inc. is enjoyable more for its concept than execution, as it was quite clever to fuse a twin-stick shooter with an idling game. For those who have already beaten their fair share of clicker games, there isn't enough reason to play this one until the endgame.

Vostok Inc has a retro feel to it, so essentially it already feels like it has been around for a long time. The mechanics of the combat can be found in the original Asteroids game, albeit with easier controls. If you like the combat mechanics, then just playing the game as shoot 'em up is great fun. I think this game will still be as enjoyable in years to come, the simplicity of picking it up and playing for a bit and not having to dedicate hours to missions means that it will probably sit in gamer's collections with frequent revisits. I like Vostok Inc a lot and I will be playing it to conclusion. I confess that I don't normally get that into retro games, but Vostok Inc has won me over. Prepare for time to pass at an alarming rate. Nosebleed Interactive have spent their energies in the right areas to make this game top rated for fun.

Vostok Inc. is an interesting game that mixes two genres with great success. It is a very addictive release, and once you play, it will end up sucking you in. The gameplay might be a bit repetitive, but there is a lot to do as you aim at getting that shiny Platinum trophy for your collection. The game is very affordable, and it's definitely a unique experience, so you should certainly check it on PS4.

Vostok Inc. juggles a lot of styles, and manages to pull them all off well just above average. The sum is not always greater than its parts but in this case the sum is much greater. If you find some spare coin, and want a game about making coin back then Vostok Inc. is for you.

Vostok Inc. is a commendable effort that just feels like a grind with frustratingly simple gameplay. For fans of either of these genres, it might be just the ticket you need to enjoy both of them. The truth is that these genres complement one another perfectly fine, but there's little to make the experience feel like it's more than just a typical foray into both.
