I, for one, probably belong in the middle of these two relationships. I can't say I was displeased, but I also can't say I was smitten.

Warriors All-Stars is Omega Force’s latest creation and possible the successor to the Warriors Orochi series which saw a mash up of the Dynasty and Samurai series as well as other characters from Atelier, Ninja Gaiden and Soul Calibur. Transported to another world in order to help save it, join in on a brand new adventure with elements and characters from across the various IPs that Koei Tecmo’s has access to.

This game is a tribute to both the franchises it integrates and the musou gameplay. Koei Tecmo with Omega Games weren't scared to go all out in the exaggeration of this kind of battles. While the story is interesting enough to serve as a string to mix all the characters, the new movesets and special attacks are a blast to just beat thousand of enemies. It´s a shame you can't play multiplayer of any kind.

Warriors All-Stars is a dress rehersal. It's a great party with many special guests, waiting for the upcoming Dynasty Warriors 9. It mantains the funny and the canonic gameplay of the series, and it also features good ideas that try to deep the experience, in a manner similar to RPG. Is it is now, the game is a very good example of fanservice, but it also may represent a good starting point for newcomers.

Warriors All-Stars adds a few fun new additions to the series, but ultimately falls short at making itself stand out for any reason other than the cast. It allows many of Koei Tecmo’s stars from multiple games to meet up and cause massive amounts of mayhem in the name of good, but adds no interesting mechanics or hooks outside of continuing to provide a great Musou experience.

Twelve heroes from Koei Tecmo games are back in action. Once more become your favourite character and prove there is no match for you on the battlefield. If only the story was any better…

Warriors All-Stars is another game from Omega Force with all its pros and contras. It's poor story can't save a game suited only for hardcore fans of the musou genre.

During my time with Respawning, I have had the opportunity to play a lot of Musou/Warriors games, and I feel like what we’re playing here is slightly underwhelming. It does a great job in giving exposure to lesser known titles from Koei Tecmo’s impressive library of characters however I have found that there isn’t much to offer regarding expansive features and the roster is minimal in comparison to other titles found in the genre.

I had a blast playing this game for the most part, Warriors All Stars wasn't the crossover we deserved but it was the crossover we needed and I can't help but recommend it to fans of the Musou series.

Warriors All-Stars it's 'The Expendables' of the KOEI Tecmo videogames. His characters are his best complaint. A game focused almost exclusively on the musou lovers.

Bringing together some of Tecmo Koei’s biggest stars in a convoluted furry cloud of deja vu.

While a few extra bells and whistles are added here and there, along with much improved character variety, it's still a Dynasty Warriors game at its heart—and that's not a bad thing. Fans of the series will still love this, despite an underwhelming narrative set in a cliché new world.

While the fun selection of characters teaming up to destroy hordes of demons and soldiers is a hoot, Warriors All-Stars is otherwise a weak, uninspired jumble of a Musou.

Warriors All-Stars is one of the better efforts from Koei Tecmo with a whole lot of content to play in the game. However the quality of this content is debatable but if you are a fan of the various Koei Tecmo franchise, you might find the appeal in it.

Though the story is boring and the frame rate could be upped, the gameplay, both inside and outside of battle, make All-Stars truly feel like a celebration of gaming’s most over-the-top genre.

Knowing that Warriors All-Stars is only really going to appeal to Warriors fans, this is definitely a let-down when it comes to being a celebration of some of the best characters and franchises Koei Tecmo has to offer. There just aren't enough characters, the story is the only mode available, and it is pointlessly confusing in its explanation of reaching particular missions and endings. On the other end of the spectrum, though, the gameplay is some of the flashiest and fastest there is, with plenty of variety in move sets across the roster. There will be enough here when it comes to working through the endings for characters that appeal to the individual, but the lacking long term appeal and frustration involved in redoing missions to unlock the same allies and reach previous paths again hurts it.

All-in-all, Koei Tecmo and Omega Force did an excellent job with Warriors All-Stars. It may have its minor downfalls, such as a slightly decreased difficulty level and overall lack of territory battles, but it more than makes up for it with its fun and addictive gameplay, and phenomenal renditions of some of Koei Tecmo’s most beloved IPs.
