I enjoy One Piece Unlimited World Red much more than our original reviewer.

Not much has changed since its Wii U and 3DS days, but Unlimited World Red is still a swashbuckling good time for anime action aficionados. The handful of extra quests and costumes included in this ‘Deluxe Edition' probably won't be enough to tempt anyone into double (or triple) dipping, but excellent visuals and drop-in co-op with single Joy Con controls make the Switch version a great place to jump in. It's a shame that there isn't more of an effort to introduce Oda's incredible world to players unfamiliar with the manga source material, but if you're already a Straw Hat supporter this is an easy recommendation.

One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition on Switch is the best way to experience Unlimited World Red and exactly how a licensed game should be.

This could have been a decent remaster, but instead it just seems to be a slightly lazy upscaled port, with DLC chucked in to pad out the content.

Overall, One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition is a well-made game that does the series justice.

One Piece: Unlimited World Red certainly looks and sounds the part of a solid One Piece game but it drops the booty with its stiff controls and unsatisfying combat engine.

One Piece: Unlimited World Red - Deluxe Edition is exactly what a licensed game should be. It captures the essence of the One Piece franchise through its story, writing, and characters, while also providing gameplay that could stand on its own without the name attached to it. Ganbarion has struck a delicate balance of creating a game that works for both hardcore One Piece fans and players who have never heard of the series before.

One Piece Unlimited World Red is worth playing provided you haven't finished it already on PS3. The game itself is engaging, cute and well-thought. It's so good, you don't even have to know the anime.

While the adventure is nothing worthwhile, One Piece: Unlimited World Deluxe Edition is a fun brawler for the Nintendo Switch.

One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition is a decent addition to the stable of Nintendo Switch games and of course from a Once Piece perspective. It's a fun experience on the Nintendo Switch with lots of quests to embark on and is a relatively sturdy gaming system. The multiplayer component of the game could have been fleshed out more but nonetheless, it creates a fun game for fans of the One Piece series.

One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition provides an entertaining but flawed take on the One Piece franchise. Its story and gameplay show signs of promise, but repetitive and recycled missions, levels, and enemies drag down the game, especially during its later hours.

The first adventure of Luffy the pirate on the Nintendo Switch is certainly not a bad one despite its flaws.

As a One Piece fan, this game really scratched that itch of wanting to cut loose with Nami, Luffy, Chopper, and everyone else the way that the manga portrays them: brutal, efficient, over-the-top, and just downright glorious to behold.

One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition is that rare licensed game with enough lasting power to please both fans and newcomers alike. Prior knowledge of the series certainly bolsters the experience, but the core mechanics are strong enough on their own where newcomers can hop in and enjoy themselves. The gameplay itself can feel repetitive during longer play sessions, but the mechanics aren't so simple to the point where they aren't at least somewhat engaging. At its core, One Piece: Unlimited World Red's MO is to be an easy to play adventure game set in the One Piece universe and, at that, it succeeds rather well.

One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition is a great choice for anyone who's a fan of the anime, show or genre. It offers an original story from the creator of the "One Piece" universe, and it features smooth combat, a gorgeous world that has clearly received a lot of development attention, a ton of DLC, and it's wallet-friendly to boot. My only nitpicks have to do with the camera being too close to the character, which interrupted the fluidity of traversing the world, and there were a few slow points in the story due to a lack of clarity in missions. If you're looking for a fun and lighthearted adventure, you can't go wrong with this title.

There'ssome extra value with having it portable as well as being able to break into co-op anywhere. But for whatever reason, One Piece just doesn't click with me in general, the games included. It's mildly recommendable for action on the Switch, but if you have an appreciation for pirate politics and Devil Fruit this is right up your alley.

A thoroughly enjoyable little romp that hardcore One Piece fans need to pick up. It's even worth double-dipping for those who originally bought it back on a handheld during its original launch. There's an enjoyable story to experience that feels like it belongs as part of the One Piece canon, a simple but fun combat system, addictive collection elements, and the fantastic Coliseum, which give plenty of replayability to the game.
