Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions isn't just a remaster of the original classic. It brings the game to the current generations but it also adds a new dimension thanks to the Minion Quest mode, which adding to its rich visuals, memorable and amusing plot and overall quality of the game makes this an adventure more than worth looking into.

Nintendo's updated take on Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is a worthy remake of the series' initial entry, bringing with it a fresh coat of paint and some fun extras.
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Sage is genuinely one of my favourite remasters in years – I can't remember a time that I've smiled as much while playing a game. Good humour combined with smart mechanics and that Nintendo absurdity make for an exceptionally good mix
A fine remake of a good game is still good, but it also feels unnecessary.
It's great to see Nintendo bringing new life to their classics, especially after such a long time since the original Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga was released.
A stunning visual overhaul and subtle gameplay enhancements make this already charming, funny RPG even better.
Although Bowser's Minions falls short of adding value to the package, Superstar Saga is still an excellent Mario RPG and one that holds up very well in today's 3DS catalog.
While Superstar Saga may be a bit simplistic for more advanced players, its nostalgic appeal and overall fun is enough to justify its existence.
Superstar Saga is the real meat of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, and it's nothing but approachable, engaging, real fun and the addition of the wearisome Bowser's Minions doesn't take away from it. There's nothing new in Superstar Saga itself, but what's there is worth it.
A well-crafted re-imagining of a GBA classic with fun new features that most definitely deserves your attention, even if you missed out on in it back in 2003.
While the newly-included Minion Quest falls short of the mark, the core content of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions holds up surprisingly well, even after all these years.
The original Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga was a fantastic adventure, and this remake has not harmed it. You'll find the same fun and challenging gameplay accompanied by the same witty dialogue that first appeared on the Game Boy Advance in 2003, but now everything looks and sounds much better. The new content, Bowser's Minions, is not good enough to warrant a purchase by itself; however, since it's completely optional, it's also not a reason to stay away.
My time with Superstar Saga has been a joy – filled with hearty laughs and exciting boss encounters. Even though I can't say whether it's a remake worth revisiting to those who finished the original back on the GBA, I can say with confidence that those who missed it the first time around are in certainly in for a good time.
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions is a blissful trip down nostalgia lane thanks to its excellent graphical overhaul and engaging new side-content.
This remake is more than a straight port and it’s more than a standard remake. It’s a pretty big overhaul of an already very well put together game.
Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions is still a fantastic RPG fourteen years later. The Bowser's Minions side story is an enjoyable, if occasionally tedious, diversion. But the main quest is better than ever with the same addictive combat, laugh-out-loud story, and a few modern polishes to the gameplay.
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is still the best game in the series, and a must-have for 3DS owners that haven't played it before. Charming, great value and tons of fun.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga has not lost any of its charm over the past decade and a half, plus looks better than ever now on Nintendo 3DS thanks to its new lick of paint. Humorous, addictive, inventive - everything that made the Game Boy Advance original so addictive returns, with some handy touch screen shortcuts added into the mix, and a pleasant side game in the form of the Bowser's Minions RTS quest. With this, Paper Jam Bros. and Bowser's Inside Story, the Mario & Luigi series shows it is still going from strength to strength thanks to the genius team at AlphaDream.
Thank goodness for "kiddie" games. The original Mario & Luigi game returns with a fresh coat of paint and an extra mode that celebrates Bowser's charming and adorable lackeys. Exploration could be better and the Bowser's Minions mode could be a bit more fleshed out. Its highly amusing dialogue, however, combined with its charming visuals, music and characters make this the perfect tonic after a long day on the job. Jump into it if you're itching for a Mario-themed RPG.
Beautiful game design, great mechanics, a variety of gameplay situations, sparkling humor of varying degrees - almost everything is perfect. But being a remake of a game, which was released 14 years ago, this project does not offer anything new to the old fans. Bowser's Minions turned out very funny, but not impressive in terms of gameplay. But for all newcomers and today's fans of the series this game can be safely recommended.
