Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Reviews
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet may be a good change of pace for fans, but it misses the mark in a few too many places to really recommend to new players.
You better be a hardcore fan of the series, or you won't find much to like in Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet.
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, for somebody only remotely aware of the source material, is an enjoyable game with interesting tricks in design held back by an otherwise intrusive plot. Somebody who loves the source material will think the game deserves a higher score, and somebody who hates the source material will think the game deserves a lower score, but that's ultimately what holds the game back from being something successful; it wants to be the anime, not a game. And as a game about an anime about a game, it seems like a missed opportunity.
Fatal Bullet sets itself up for excellence, only to fall short in almost every area. Fans of the Sword Art Online universe might enjoy the ability to play alongside characters from the series, but Fatal Bullet struggles to keep itself afloat, even with its relatively short runtime.
It's still one for the fans, but this may be the best adaptation of the license yet.
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is a fun action RPG with technical flaws holding it back from true greatness.
Sword Art Online series changes its fantasy setting to futuristic post-apocalyptic world. Machine gun in place of sword can feel wierd at times, but at the end of the day it is freshness the fans have waited for.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is a game that is great for fans of the series. Unfortunately, I do not see this game doing well outside of that. ==
Vastly improved graphics and the ability to play as a customer character make Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet an attractive game. Even though you swap swords, fantasy and magic for guns and an apocalyptic dystopian world, the combat system leaves a lot to be desired on console. It feels like it was made for PC and the assist mode just makes combat feel more cheap than engaging. Still a solid improvement over previous games, though and still worth a play!
For all its clunkiness, control problems and continued loading there is something at its core that fans of the series will find hard to not enjoy. This is driven by the early interactions with the iconic characters of the franchise and sets the game world of Gun Gale Online up to be a memorable one. If you’re a fan of Sword Art Online this could be for you but otherwise it might be worth switching out.
A good pick up for people fond of Japanese animation, even if it lacks a compelling narrative.
SAO: Fatal Bullet shakes things up with new locations and mechanics but fails to grab the attention of anyone but fans
Introducing a third-person shooter into the Sword Art Online universe means Fatal Bullet isn't your typical fantasy game. Thanks to the Unreal Engine 4; it has some polish, but uninspiring environments and generic gameplay mean that only hardcore fans of the SAO series will get the most out of Bandai Namco's latest effort.
While the game is a lot of fun, it is hard to shake the feeling that if it was a full MMO it would be better. The Co Op mode goes someway to fix this and thankfully there is plenty of content to keep fans of the genre and of the series occupied. Definitely worth playing if you want an anime inspired world to run around in for a long time.
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is an atypical - but funny - RPG with a lot of TPS features, made by Dimps (also known as Dragon Ball Xenoverse developers).

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet's fast, mobile combat and deep customization options aren't enough to counter the game's repetitive, limited content.
The foundation laid by the game offers a surprisingly fun experience, even for those who aren't that interested in the franchise, but thanks to poor AI, a boring story, and uninteresting characters, it isn't able to become a great JRPG in its own right.
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet may have its problems, but it is a rather fun and unique JRPG shooter in its own right.
For me, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet was a great game that scratched that same "I want to blow things up and gain power" itch that Borderlands and PSO did for me, and while I wouldn't want anyone to pay full price for such a game, I'd highly recommend it to bored ARPG fans that catch it on sale and need something to get them through a lean gaming period.
While the game felt a little unpolished in some areas, overall it's a ton of fun. Sword Art Online fans will likely enjoy the immense amount of story, while people just looking for the gameplay can have just as much fun too. Easily the best title in the series by far.
