Throwing in the heart-melting cuteness of ASL fluent Quill, a career-best soundtrack from Jason Graves, and an emotionally resonant story, Polyarc’s upgrade exists to remind you why Moss was one of PSVR’s must plays.

Moss is an excellent game that completely changed the way I feel about the platformer genre. An adorable main character, striking presentation, and perfectly balanced gameplay far outweighed my minor bouts of VR discomfort to create a truly special experience.

Though a significant amount of time has passed since its original release resulting it not being quite as fresh as it was and its relatively brief five hour or so duration might frustrate those looking for a more substantial morsel, Moss nevertheless enthrals thanks to its extremely likeable heroine, superbly judged platforming adventure gameplay and sublime VR presentation. If you've yet to hop on the Moss train, now is the time to address that.

It's easy to scoff at the idea of VR making any appreciable difference in a VR game, but you would be wrong to do so. Moss, a combination platformer/audio book, is exactly that, and it is very, very well done. If asked if I would have enjoyed it as much "flat," I have to say that I wouldn't have. The VR aspects are subtle, but still make large contributions to the overall game play. It appears to be a small kid's game at first, but the difficulty does ramp up to a fairly challenging level.

Moss is a gorgeous game, with Disney-level animation (on Disney's best day), spectacular world building, and intriguing puzzles. Quill the mouse is a living creation, delicate but with real weight and personality. Like the way the best 3-D worlds incorporate 3-D organically, Moss avoids VR gimmicks and relies on wonder and story to produce the first essential title on PS VR.

Billed as the first part of Quill's storybook adventures, Moss showcases some of the best ideas to grace the PlayStation VR since its inception. Not only is it comfortable and easy to get into, but the forest world that Quill calls her home is a character all its own.

Who'd have thought this under-hyped mouse tale would be one of the best VR games around? Moss is brilliant and inventive in the way it applies VR to the 3D platform adventure, crafting something strange and magical out of familiar ingredients. It's short, but beautifully-paced and utterly charming. Whatever VR platform you're packing, you ought to play it.

Sweet hero's journey in a believable fairy tale world, which convinces with its successful staging and the "in the thick of it" perspective.

The wonderful relationship between a brave little mouse and the player character will ring as a bright spot in early VR development. Although the adventure is short-lived, and those looking for a challenge will be left wanting, Moss still serves as a great excuse to dust off your PS VR headsets if you haven't done so in a while.

Moss is undoubtedly one of the best PlayStation VR games available. This little tale is absolutely charming, from beginning to end, and it offers a both interesting and perfectly balanced gameplay. Too bad it ends so quickly, after 3 or 4 hours of play, with a frustrating "to be continued"... We had such a good time ! An enchantment you still have to live, if you're equipped with Sony's virtual reality headset.

Moss is a joyous, delightful experience that is both captivating and enchanting. It's one of those games that leaves you with an indelible smile on your face from beginning to end. It's just a pity that the end comes so soon.

Moss is easily one of the better PlayStation VR titles and a must for anyone who loves cute animals, puzzle games or just want to see how PlayStation VR can enhance traditional experiences. That being said, keep in mind that it isn’t the longest adventure and offers little to no replay value. If these things aren’t a problem for you, then you can’t go wrong with Moss

Moss builds a world and draws you into it with gusto, confidently using some of the best visuals and art direction I've ever seen on Playstation VR. Despite this, technological limitations of the control scheme hold it back from being truly great. New developer Polyarc are on to something special here, utilizing VR ingeniously to provide satisfying puzzles and tense platforming, though it's a crying shame that it's over much too soon.
