de Blob 2 - 2018 Edition Reviews
De Blob 2 is a refreshing game from the tedium I experience from the first game. You'll still end up doing the same thing for most of the game but the focus on platforming instead of solely coloring everything provides a much more streamlined experience.
Without being an essential classic, 'Blob 2' resists much better the passage of time and both visually and mechanically is perfectly valid in 2018.

De Blob 2 comes to modern day consoles with its essence still intact. This game has carried well all these years and still has great quality. However, there is this feeling of missing new content and better technical improvements.

de Blob 2 took everything that was popular and iconic about the first game and expanded on just about every aspect for the sequel. In terms of the remaster, this one looks a lot nicer with higher resolution cutscenes and sharper visuals. Fans of the original game will be happy with all the new mechanics in play and those seeking a challenge will love the Blob Party mode. Even though the camera is a new enemy which you must constantly face off against, the game was still a joy to play and impressed me in every other way.
Watching paint dry really can be entertaining, in this relentlessly cheerful mix of platformer and interactive colouring book.
de Blob 2 is absolutely worth playing if you have any fondness for 3D platformers.
This remastered edition of De Blob 2 is a disappointing attempt to make the most of a franchise by reproposing the same game launched in 2011, without fixing the bugs and gameplay issues of the original product. If you like to color everything shows up in front of you, maybe it's time for you to give Splatoon 2 a try.

Even though I prefer the arcade feel of the first game, de Blob 2 is certainly a must-have 3D platformer.
If you've played de Blob 2 back in 2011, no need to play this PS4 port. Even if you liked it back then. Almost no changes have been made to the game and none of its weak points have been improved. de Blob 2 is an average platformer at best. Cool soundtrack though.

Even though De Blob 2 isn't without fault, it's a joyful and wholesome experience that amuses more than it frustrates. Adults might find it too simplistic, but it's perfect for children.
Despite critical approval de Blob 2 was not a commercial success in 2011. This time we got an unaltered experience with a bit of touch ups. It's still a good game focusing on simple fun, not a challenge. It's perfect for all younger players, will it be enough to convince people to play?

Available now on modern consoles, De Blob 2 has been remastered into a simple port, with barely any changes including its original faults. But I'll highly recommend this game to those that never tried it, especially for the younger generations as it's an entertaining title.
For some reason, they remastered de Blob 2...
de Blob 2 is a fine title, it's about the same as the first and essentially the same version as its last generation counterpart.
A pretty long game, which was quite original before indie games were popular. Today it takes a lot more to get players' attention.

While it's true that it has some camera problems that can be annoying, it won't mess up the gaming experience the title offers: there's fun, humor and lots of color. A must have.

While the game is a bit linear with its story objectives, there is room to explore in each level, with some great-looking locations that will surprise you. I have had an absolute blast playing the game for long and relaxing gaming sessions. de Blob 2 is a very fun, colorful and addictive painting puzzler with a nice Platinum trophy that has only one missable trophy. As long as you don't purchase any upgrade for your character during your run, you can get all trophies in one go. The first game was a fun release, and the sequel takes everything that was great about it and improves on the formula. Hopefully we get a de Blob 3 at some point!
de Blob 2 is a solid game that I am glad has made a return. While the remaster portion is a little of a misnomer, it is nice to see the game back. Now with these two remasters out of the way hopefully THQ Nordic can get on crafting the final chapter in the Blob trilogy. Bring it back, and make it beautiful. Colorful platformers are always welcome in my world.
In the end, de Blob 2 is mostly a game about creative expression and pleasant visual experiences.
As a Blob you can soak up color like a sponge. You will come across Transformation engines, they transform that area of the map back to the original state before Comrade Black showed up. Before you can activate the engine, you must add a dash of color to various things, thus opening the path to completing that part of the map. Style pickups grants you the ability to add a little creativity and funk to items you color by adding designs.
