The Crew 2 is definitely an improvement over the first title but still can't really iron out all of the flaws from its predecessor. Because of the huge amount of vehicles and events, racing fans will get a good starting point but we'll still have to wait for future pvp, endgame and more updates in the upcoming DLCs to get the full experience.

The Crew 2 is a hard game to critique. It has so many things going for it, from the diversity in gameplay, the plethora of available vehicles, and the overall fun and excitement it creates. However, it’s matched with equally disappointing aspects such as the pointless free-roam mode, the annoying photo-mode challenges, the indestructible obstacles, and the annoyingly ‘perfect’ AI. It initially feels like the game is ‘pay to win’ as you are unable to afford the better vehicles for the events you are entering. This is until you dedicate a few hours to the game and begin to realise that after a while the game will progress at the level you are, thus opening up new events and offering more money in line with what you need.

The Crew 2 does not achieve the perfection of a Forza Horizon, but outweighs its weaknesses with variety and rich racing action.

A better game than The Crew but still a few steps behind the Horizon Series, despite its variety on vehicles.

The Crew 2 is fast, fun and offers a flexible gameplay experience. But, a sense of imbalance throughout the game causes it to be a bit of a rough ride.

No matter the element, The Crew 2 is a fantastic vehicle in which to master the ins and outs of speed. It's just a pity that Ubisoft's new world of varied racing disciplines feels hollow and uneven as it won't hold your attention for very long in its current incarnation.

The Crew 2 is very similar to what the original offered: arcade fun.

The Crew 2 is a whisker away from being a great game. You can spend an entire afternoon just enjoying the cars and driving without a specific purpose, while taking in some of the marvelous views, and it feels really good. However, the major downsides – ubiquitous copy-pasting and a rather scanty number of genuine innovations – don't allow me to recommend this game to absolutely everyone; not just yet.

The Crew 2 has a beautiful open world and there is a lot of variety in its races, but the weak character models and the absence of competitive mode at launch held this game back.

If you look at sales figures for The Crew 2 recently, you would've noticed that it hasn't been performing particularly well considering the amount of money that went into PR, advertisements and sponsorships.

Taking an American muscle car at 300 km/h along a gorge, falling hopelessly into the void and ending up maneuvering gracefully an aircraft in an instant is a pleasant driving experience that is rarely seen in the racing genre; but it's just one of the many activities that The Crew 2 has prepared. It's a game you either love or hate; while fun and accessible, not all of its elements shine as it could.

The Crew 2 is a very good, fun racing experience, but it's holding itself back with a few minor annoyances.

The Crew 2 is a great game, of that there’s no doubt, however thanks to its lack of PVP, awkward menus and long load times, it can on occasion be a frustrating experience. Still, there are not many open world racers on PS4, so until there is a must-have, The Crew 2 will remain the best option out there.

This title may have some problems, but the freedom that's in offer combined with a cohesive driving system manage to make a fun experience. And although there are shortcomings in the story and Free-roam sections, the ability to choose from a vast amount of options while playing the game, surely offer amusing hours for the Gamer. If developers would have focused on the story and other fore-mentioned areas as much as they did on having many numbers of options, we would be facing a very complete racing experience. But even so, it is still very possible to thoroughly enjoy Crew 2 and remember it for a long time.

We really love The Crew 2. It’s both an adrenaline pumping foot to the floor racer and a relaxing cruise through the countryside. It's poor graphical detail and lack of progression from the first outing let it down but it's still a game you can sink hours into.

The Crew 2 is a fantastic open-world racing game that creates an unintentional post-apocalypse out of its gorgeous open-world by failing to ply it with meaningful modes

The Crew 2 is big, confident, and stuffed with arcade racing action but it's an uneven and unfinished package.

A successful sequel where it counts the most, only a few potholes slow The Crew 2 down in its drive to become the ultimate road trip.

I think the developers made the right call by branching out with planes and boats and going for a more approachable play-what-you-like format. They just spread themselves too thin trying to cram it all in.
