An aesthetically beautiful and deeply personal look at a very significant yet, troubling time in human history. Delving into the lives of the two men on opposing sides who enter the war for very human reasons and whose lives are deeply affected by each other and the war itself, is taxing, moving and as a narrative experience, poignant and worthwhile.
F those with patience to invest in the world it presents, 11-11 is a captivating chronicle of the First World War, exploring the essential humanity fought for and lost on either side. Poignant, beautiful, and frequently heart-breaking, this is a game with rare weight and importance.

11-11: Memories Retold is an unabashed artistic masterpiece; its few technical problems barely detract from a fantastic game.
11-11 is a unique (and relatively inexpensive) title that’s worth picking up.
With so many choices left unexplored and far too many hidden items I have yet to discover, 11-11: Memories Retold is a replayable title with new experiences for me to discover. What if I don't send that picture to Julia and send this one instead? And where is that last card game I seem to have missed? It only took about four and a half hours for me to complete the game once. Surely I can spare another afternoon or two to bolster my trophy count and make some tough choices.
It has its flaws, and definitely isn't mainstream, but 11-11: Memories Retold is an important and emotionally potent game. For players with patience, and those who lean towards shorter, contemplative and character-driven gaming experiences, it's something to add to your library. For everyone though, gamer and non-gamers alike, it is an engrossing and educational look at war from a relatable, individual perspective. And right now it feels like the world could do with just such a well-though-out reminder about the humanity of others.
You should play 11-11, and not just because it's a chance to enjoy a captivating piece of interactive storytelling. This game is important, because of the way it makes you think, without ever telling you what to think. Lest we forget.
11-11 : Memories Retold chooses to tell the story on the ground, through the eyes of simple human beings embedded in a conflict so much bigger than them. French studio DigixArt delivers a memorable adventure, served by a remarkable and right writing and acting, superb impressionist visuals from Aardman Animations,and one of the best soundtrack of the year. Too bad that its core gameplay really lacks of challenge and that there's still some persistent bugs. But there could be no better way to celebrate peace in 2018.

One or two conceits to video gaming aside, 11-11: Memories Retold is a powerful narrative experience that explores turmoil beyond battlefield violence. With a unique look and haunting soundtrack, it is a respectful tribute to those whose lives were affected by the First World War.
Stiff animations and some plot holes hinder the project, but overall 11-11 is among the best World War I stories ever told in video games.

11-11: Memories Retold doesn't attempt to tell a grand tale about World War 1, instead it decides to take a more personal approach. Following 2 soldiers as they take part in The Great War for personal reasons. The adventure is a deeply enriching tale about endurance, friendship, and honor where large-scale fights take a back seat. The abundance of collectibles and technical issues sometimes hamper the experience but these are minor issues. 11-11: Memories Retold is a moving tale of 2 soldiers trying to survive The Great War without killing thousands of NPCs and lots of guns.
11-11: Memories Retold is a refreshing figure among graphic adventures that are strongly bound by narrative and that deviate from the traditional point & click gameplay. Aardman Studios provides a plot that will draw players' attention from the beginning to the very end, all of it mixed with one of the bests OST that can be found within videogames..

While the gameplay isn’t particularly thrilling, more often than not it still services a well-told story in a gorgeously realized game.
11-11: Memories Retold is a totally new experience in the genre of war games with a story more intriguing than any other war inspired books and novels. So do yourself a favor and dedicate a small part of your time to this unforgettable journey.
