Nioh 2 Reviews
Nioh 2 leaves me very divided. The combat system is extensive, varied and is one of the best I've experienced in action role-playing games so far. Besides, the hunt for better equipment and armor sets is just as motivating as in Diablo or Destiny. The bosses are originally designed and many have interesting mechanics. But then there is this balancing, which was only really right for me in a few moments. I like hard games, have played through all the titles from From Software several times since Demon's Souls, and I've also enjoyed defeating titles from other manufacturers - except Lords of the Fallen, which was a bummer. I never had the feeling that the difficulty was so strongly defined by the boss' life energy and my character level as in Nioh 2, which could be compensated by grinding a little bit, but it just doesn't feel quite right. Friends of the genre and the scenario should definitely have a look into the game, because despite all criticism I liked the game. But it is not enough for the throne, which is still occupied by Bloodborne.

I finished the first Nioh enchanted, loving his combat and how he used Japanese history and mythology. Nioh 2 gives you that multiplied by ten, improves the main setbacks of the previous one, and generally ends up rounding out the set to offer a long, replayable, fun, challenging but fair game, and a long etcetera. His only mistake could be to be a continuity player at his base, but he offers such an obvious improvement that in the end this happens.

Nioh 2 is a content-rich package, with many new features and additions. Souls fans and those who fell in love with the first game will surely enjoy this prequel, despite the few drawbacks like repeating environments and enemies.

I already knew I was going to enjoy Nioh 2 after loving the original, but even I didn’t expect to be so blown away by all of the improvements that have been brought to the experience this time around. Between the super satisfying combat, the brilliantly implemented yokai abilities, the stand out battles with the deadly enemies, and the fun online co-op, Nioh 2 seems to have everything. Simply put, it’s the best game I’ve played so far this year. Nioh 2 offers an outstanding action-experience that improves upon the original game in almost every way – the PlayStation 4 has yet another amazing console-exclusive to welcome into gamer’s lives.
Nioh 2 is a game that you will enjoy if you want challenges. If you have already played the first game, this second game has few playable improvements, but if you liked it, you should give it a chance to see if you are able to continue to overcome the difficulty of a game like this one.

Overall, I loved Nioh 2 as it provided many of the same positives as the first game. I am having a hard time deciding which I prefer, since both have their own merits. What this game has over the previous is a better tool set, be it the yokai abilities or the tinkered abilities lending to neat attack chains, and a better assortment of yokai to face. With twenty main missions and numerous sub missions to go through, the $59.99 price tag is well worth it. After all, I put in over 40 hours total and that number will only continue to rise. If future DLC allows the game to evolve to even greater heights, then this could become one of my personal favorite games of the year.
As extremely hard as the game can be, Nioh 2 is proof that the Soulsborne genre can still be polished, refined, and utilize unique mechanics, all of which makes it worth suffering through. Team Ninja’s latest title is definitely more accessible than Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and certainly an early contender for Game Of The Year 2020.
With improved combat mechanics and an even higher difficulty, Ni-Oh 2 is great for fans and newcomers alike, in one of the top games of 2020.

Nioh 2 is the kind of action game that's clearly targeted towards a certain type of gamer. It's an incredibly difficult game, and gamers that don't have the patience or commitment to learning its various intricacies just aren't going to get as much out of the game. However, fans of the original title and gamers that enjoy that kind of difficulty level will find that they will get out of Nioh 2 what they're willing to put into it.
Nioh 2 is a challenging game which either makes you blood boil or makes oyu incredible happy. There is no in between. The game is bigger, better and bolder than it's predecessor with more enemies, more regions and more challenges along the way. It is a must have for those who like a challenge and a must avoid for those who can't stand losing. Because you will lose a lot eventually.

Nioh 2 is one of the most improved sequels to a game that I've ever had the pleasure of playing. With top-notch gameplay and highly rewarding open-ended character progression systems, I simply can't wait to see how Nioh 3 is going to turn out.
This is effectively Ninja Gaiden cranked up to eleven with RPG elements and your own custom created character; one that has a demonic past that inexplicably provides them with otherworldly abilities. And if that doesn’t make you want to play Nioh 2, I don’t know what will.
Nioh 2 is going to be compared to Sekiro, but it is its own beast. It's an excellent follow-up to the original game, and it isn't any lesser for being compared to FromSoft's attempt at the samurai Soulsborne genre. The new features help keep the smooth gameplay feeling intense and exciting, and the various tweaks do wonders for keeping the game fresh. Its biggest flaw is being "more of the same," but the original game was fun enough that a fresh new set of enemies and items is worth a lot. Just be prepared to die a lot. A whole lot. As in, "I saw multiple corpses by the first enemy of the game."
Nioh 2 brings back brutal and challenging combat along with yet another fantastic feudal Japan setting. The variety in gameplay remains one of the game's greatest assets. Fun and challenge go hand in hand here, even though the title still needs some balancing. Small defects as in the development of the story and in the boss fights are notable, but they don't affect the excellent experience that the game provides.

Just as I have a special reverence for Demon's Souls, even as I recognise Dark Souls was able to refine and improve on "the formula", I recognise that Nioh 2 is the better game, while also missing spirit and originality, which has gone by the wayside.
Although I wasn't optimistic about This Particular Sequel. But I enjoyed the Journey in general. worth the experience for those who Enjoy this type of games.

Nioh 2 is the best Team Ninja game ever made, an expertly crafted adventure that takes the player through Japanese history and folklore, and one that is full of bloody encounters with mythical creatures you won't soon forget. This is one of the best PS4 exclusives.

I can not recommend it to those who basically lived their life in the first game when it came out, as especially on the visuals front, Nioh 2 has seen no improvements. It is possible to feel like you are playing the exact same game, I know I did. Homever, if you haven't already played the first game, do not bother starting with that and skip straight to Nioh 2.

Brutal from start to finish, Nioh 2 turnes its outstanding combat system into a deadly dance that knows how to be cruel with defeat, but honorable with victory. It may not be far from the first game, but it was enough to refine the elements that founded the franchise to deliver one of the best titles of the closing of this generation.
