Overpass Reviews
When it's fun it can be really fun, but when it's bad it can be really frustrating.
Overall this was a fun title that I enjoyed my time with.
We can't overcome obstacles and hills in off-road quads and buggies so often, but here it still wasn't any good.

Overpass is a double edged sword by design.
Overpass is a good concept, but it should’ve stayed in the incubator a little longer to make it truly a good game.
Creating an off-road racing simulator to differentiate yourself from the competition is undoubtedly a great idea. However, it also needs to be well crafted, which is definitely not the case with Overpass. Despite the fact that the title offers decent physics where you have to plan your every run, there are many aspects that bring Overpass down to a worse average. These are mainly the outdated graphics, uninteresting career and only two types of races without any sauce around. For the very die-hard fans of off-road racing, we can probably recommend the title with a nod of both eyes and ears even with the aforementioned shortcomings, but for the rest of us, we say hands off.

When you think of a racing game, thoughts normally center on head-to-head contests between multiple contestants, but there are other styles and Overpass slots into one of those alternate categories...
The developers of Overpass have put in massive efforts to make the game's value as high as a Triple-A title. Unfortunately, the expectations were way too high and it didn't really fulfill the satisfactory level of implementations. There's definitely a demands for games that require you to put in endless effort and time into, but some of the game's achievements do not really justify the time you would invest into, nor provide further encouragement to continue on. At least this game is another gem in its genre due to its rarity between other similar titles. It serves as a good influence for any follow up games that are planned to be released in the 'racing game' genre family.

Overpass is as rough as the terrain they are trying to make you traverse. Badly implemented systems, boring gameplay and a slew of technical issues make this a painful experience from start to finish.
Overpass is a mediocre off-road simulator that we appreciate for its originality, physics and difficulty. However, we notice the flaws and mistakes indicating the developer's fine job was, in fact, only half-done. What a shame.

Overpass is a great addition to the genre, adding a new type of challenge and will truly test the bond between man and his machine.
Overpass isn’t a great looker; it’s only an adequate player – if that’s an accurate descriptive. Playing it for more than half an hour at most still leave you craving for something more nuanced, interesting, and far more polished. However, this is likely to be the only experience like it for quite a while.
GREAT - Overpass is a blast to play if you enjoy playing Gran Turismo style simulation driving games and less arcade feeling titles. I would associate this one more with Spintires: Mudrunners than any other type of game I have played. If you enjoy ATV riding in real life or have always wanted to give it a go, but can’t, this is the game for you and a very good one at that.
Overpass is a difficult, demanding, challenging and at times frustrating game but it is just as true that at the same time it is tremendously satisfying and a lot of fun. If you pass the first hours and enter its dynamics, I am sure you will not regret playing what it possibly is, and I cannot find a better definition, the "darksouls" of car simulators.

Not even fans of the genre should put themselves through this, let alone casual racer fans. Whilst it may be too niche a concept for a mainstream company, there’s a lot more that could be done with it than this terrible offering. For the mean time, if you want some decent offroad-ish racing, give Wreckfest a try instead.
Overpass is a challenging game, being the biggest challenge convincing the players that their obstacle are fun to overcome.

Overpass has some interesting elements, but is largely a very basic and issue ridden racing title that sends you spiraling into a silent mind numbingly boring ride.
Overpass is a title that may appeal to a niche audience of off-road enthusiasts. The slower pace will definitely tire on those who prefer racing at breakneck speeds, but there is definitely something engrossing about it. The way it makes you focus more on the track itself and how each obstacle is its own puzzle to conquer is appealing. However, even the niche crowed of off-road enthusiasts won’t be able to overlook the physics issues.
Overpass is a game as fun as frustrating, due in part to a complicated and difficult to master control system. It has a variety of scenarios and tests that will provide many hours of entertainment, but that if we are able to stick to the consequences.
