Milestone has this series dialed in so well, it’s hard to fault it for things that have been removed or reduced when the racing is so solid. On one hand, managing a team feels way more robust, but the downside is that the TV broadcasting element is almost nonexistent. With what MotoGP 20 is, it charts more in a straight line than the incline that was MotoGP 18 to MotoGP 19. That said, MotoGP 20 offers a comprehensive and detailed career and a series of modes that offers something for everyone, old and new, experienced or not.

MotoGP 20 is a game developed for its existing fans and the lack of any kind of tutorial is testament to that. This game isn’t trying to win over anyone new (or, if it is, isn’t going to do a good job with it). Instead, this is a cracking racing sim that’s a celebration of the MotoGP heroes through the Historic Mode and a gaze into a bizzaro alternative universe where the GP’s actually went ahead this year. It looks great, handles even better and once you’ve got used to its particular idiosyncrasies, it’s a whole lot of fun to play.

I know I might sound like a scratched record with this verdict, but MotoGP 20 is basically like the other recent motorcycling racers that have been released on modern consoles: extremely competent when it comes to graphics, sound and content, with more than enough to keep you invested for months, but you’ll need to get used to its very realistic and newcomer-unfriendly controls first.

MotoGP 20 is a great racing game with solid physics and nice selection of game modes. Unfortunately its carrier mode feels bland and sounds of the motorcycles are questionable. On the other hand, most of the game's flaws are small and can be easily overlooked if you are a fan of this type of racing.

Milestone keeps improving its most important franchise. MotoGP 20 doesn't take any risks, but it has some new aerodynamic wings that give it some extra speed. And this year it is a great substitute for real motorbike races.

MotoGP 20 shows lots of improvements compared to the last year outing but the changes to the Historic Mode and the audio-visual presentation keeps it from achieving more than “good enough” status.

A hit or miss racing sim. Great at what it needs to be, but takes a few hits in some areas. Deal breakers for some but not others.

MotoGP 20 bets again bets on realism in its driving and the requirement when competing with a delivery that incorporates various game modes as well as all the official licenses for the 2020 season.

MotoGP 20 represents an iterative upgrade over last year's entry. Fans who skipped MotoGP 19 should definitely pick up this year's release. The challenge is there for those who want it and taking care of the business side of being a professional rider can be its own reward. Taking a no-handholding approach will no doubt turn off new fans of the sport, but difficulty sliders help to ensure all but the most incompetent leaners will see a podium finish. There may not be many choices when it comes to MotoGP simulations, but thankfully what is here is choice.

Milestone delivers the best MotoGP game to date, but the improvements that come with every iteration form a slow process. For every two steps forward, there is one step backward. This game has much to offer content-wise and the gameplay is solid enough Unfortunately, weird AI glitches, inconsistent quality of the graphics and the sounds of the bikes occasionally get in the way of experiencing the thrill that is MotoGP.

MotoGP 20 tries to build upon the promise of recent developments with a raft of new features, but it's those very inclusions that don't quite feel fully formed yet. The presentation is more polished, there's a real attempt to try something new, and I enjoy the more serious focus of the riding, but I can't help but think that this game needed a little more time in development to iron out the quirks.

MotoGP 20 is unquestionably a good, solid racing game made by a passionate team. When you're weaving through a track at breakneck speeds, slowly mastering the tough but engaging handling, it can be great fun. The problem is an unapproachable first few hours; little to no guidance will easily put some new players off. However, if you can get past that initial bump in the road, there's a robust and challenging racer waiting to be conquered.

MotoGP 20 is an upgrade of the previous one, with new interesting content but it lacks optimizazion and driving IA fine tunings.

MotoGP 20 offers exactly what it claims, and nothing else; a strong, detailed simulation for enthusiasts. For that audience, the game delivers in spades. For all others, your racing fix, motorcycles included, is better served elsewhere.

MotoGP 20 fortunately goes back to the drawing board and doubles down on delivering more content and player agency. However, taken as a package, this latest installment is sure to please veterans of the franchise.

In this strange world we now live in, live sports have become somewhat of a fantasy. MotoGP 20 provides a much needed fantasy craving for live motorsports, and with its extreme difficulty curve it’s not a game many will master in a hurry.

MotoGP 20 leaves the player with mixed feelings. The majority of the tracks added to this year's title are indeed very successful and can give a new dimension to the series, especially in times like this where sporting activity is non-existent, and many will turn to a release like this to limit the wait. But the same problems are experienced once again.

Never quite impressing on any level, MotoGP 20 offers up an enthusiastic licensed release, which will please fans of the sport and motorcycle lovers but may fail to inspire everyone else. A less sterile approach to simulating the sport with a more impressive feeling of speed would be enough to crown Milestone as kings and queens of MotoGP.

Moto GP 20 simply cannot be considered a new game, not even a big update, as it doesn't add much to the 2019 version, and altough the gameplay matured through the years, the 2020 version of the game doesn't offer enough new content to justify its price tag.

We cannot expect major progress and evolution in titles that release annually. However, I have two suggestions for those who seek to buy this game. Firstly, if you have the previous title, MotoGP 19, this game has nothing new to offer you and you do not need to purchase it. Secondly, MotoGP20 is a professional simulator game, and is not recommended to those who lack motorcycling knowledge
