Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Reviews
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is one of the best RPGs currently available on the console. The technical aspect of the graphics in the portable mode is the only negative element I can think of, and it is far from being a problem that actively disrupts the game. I confess that I had a lot more fun than I expected exploring the gigantic world that it has to offer and I believe that any RPG fan who has not yet played it should take the opportunity to dive into this classic.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definite Edition truly lives up to its title in a time where others have done the bare minimum when it comes to making older games available on the current hardware generation. The addition of extra content is also a nice touch and being able to play such a quality title again in this manner easily makes it another essential game to play on the ever popular Nintendo Switch.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition offers the best way to experience this timeless RPG for again or for the first time. The improvements to the game’s graphics, UI, and battle system make many complaints about the Wii release a thing of the past. Furthermore, the added Future Connected story content bridges the gap of loose story arcs and paves the way for the future of the series.
Xenoblade is one of the landmark titles in the genre over the past decade, and the Definitive Edition improves on it across the board.
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition has been a long time coming in many ways. And for those who haven't gotten to play as Shulk and his allies before, now is definitely the time! It's not perfect, but it's still a game that you'll want to check out and see just how incredible the original Xenoblade Chronicles is!
Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii was already a masterpiece of the time.
Xenoblade’s unwavering quality – even after almost a decade – proves it’s worthy to stand among the other “greats” of the genre.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is an improved version of a 10-year-old role-playing game, originally launched for the Nintendo Wii. It is possible to discuss whether the upgrade is sufficient on all fronts, but at least we get a bit finer environments, new music, improved character models and more thoughtful menus – and not least a whole new chapter. But above all, we get a role-playing game that, if you can forgive some outdated details, even today is one of the best the genre has to offer.

Even if you've played Xenoblade Chronicles before, the Definitive Edition makes so many meaningful improvements that it's a must play for all fans of JRPGs.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition revisits the classic RPG with updated graphics, music, and a brand new chapter. The newly polished experience is an absolute joy for fans old and new.
Regardless of the technical issues, bugs, and the unpleasing design choices, the experience itself is unique and dared to tackle philosophical and existential topics. I was sucked into a bizarre world, which In hindsight, should've been difficult to explore but the the developer made the point across brilliantly. The game is rich in its content and I've honestly experienced the best JRPG experience of this generation.

I have yet to play a game that needed a Definitive Edition as much as Xenoblade Chronicles, and it fully delivers. It's a game no JRPG fan should miss, and a version that no JRPG fan should bypass for a second or third play-through.
This is the great “hero’s journey” of our time. A journey of self-discovery and finding your place in the world, with a little bit of man’s relationship with technology thrown in.
A thoughtful update to a classic JRPG that brings it to a whole new audience. With a shiny lick of paint and some fantastic interface changes it's the best way to experience Shulk, Fiora and Reyn's epic adventure.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition gives a classic a makeover, and helps touch up some areas that haven't aged as well.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition’s brilliant world and thrilling combat help it stand tall as a remarkable RPG ten years on from its initial release. It does have some imperfections, most notably with the lower resolution in handheld mode and some sketchy party AI, but for the most part it offers an adventure of the highest standard. If you missed out on MONOLITH SOFT’s epic adventure back in 2010, you really couldn’t pick a better time than now to dive in. It’s as simple as this: Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is an unmissable release for RPG fans.
