Despite what seemed like a good story at first and the interesting idea of playing with an angry werewolf, Werewolf: The Apocalypse Earthblood failed to use that idea properly as it didn’t build on it in any way with the rest of the game's elements, the overall story and gameplay experience became very disappointing very fast.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is an engaging experience that mixes fun combat mechanics with serviceable stealth/RPG elements for a perfect AA package.
A big bowl of comfort food gaming, Werewolf is a game that feels like a throwback to simpler times. It is a welcome blast from start to finish and while ultimately forgettable, it is undeniably fun while it lasts.
Earthblood unfortunately never raises itself above average, ending up as a thoroughly competent beat-’em-up bogged down in less stellar stealth gameplay and rough RPG elements.
One of the best AA games to release in quite some time, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood combines brutal combat, smart stealth and a well-developed lore into a 20 hour long action adventure campaign. It can get a little repetitive before the midpoint but there’s some excellent moments waiting for those that can push through to the end.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood has a lot of interesting ideas, but the boring and repetitive gameplay and lack of compelling story mean it fails to make a lasting impression.
One of the main appeals of Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is simply playing as a werewolf. It succeeds at this goal, but fails at almost everything else. If you enjoy the idea of rampaging through enemies as a werewolf, then this is the game for you. For those that are seeking a bit more in their games, then this is an easy pass.
PS5 and Xbox Series X gamers have been yearning for a cracking werewolf video game and, while this delivers in the combat stakes, it's dull RPG elements slow down the action
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood comes across like an accidental homage to a time best left to nostalgia. Games back in the PS3 era were excelling despite obvious limitations. This game exists in a time when those limitations are all but removed, yet still feels like it comes up short because while it plays like them, it just wasn’t intentional.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood isn’t a terrible game, but it’s most likely not one that’s going to stick with you long after the credits roll. It’s mindless and repetitive, but if you’re a fan of World of Darkness and feel like channeling your inner wolfman for the weekend, it just might scratch that primal itch. However, if you’re on the hunt for an action-RPG with some meat on its bones, you’re much better off sinking your claws into something else.
Werewolf: The apocalypse - Earthblood, based on the famous role-playing game, has been a failed entry into the world of video games. Its high repetitiveness and lack of progression, coupled with ineffective stealth mechanics, make it difficult to enjoy the experience. On the other hand, the combat is quite attractive and bloody, as well as an appealing setting and story. Only for fans of the World of Darkness franchise.

Even though Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood can't be considered a failure or even simply a bad game in any way, its issue is that it doesn't really excel in any way either. The only thing that elevates it from the competition is the visceral and impressive combat system.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood is an action game based on the role game of the World of Darkness. You will play as a Cahal, a garou that can transform (apart from human) into wolf and werewofl, as you want. Thus, you will start a journey of revenge to stop Endron and the Wyrm. Gaia and your pack are in danger, and only you can save them.

The idea of controlling the furious werewolves and all their destructive potential in video games has always seemed very cool to me, although it has never been properly explored. Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood manages to convey that feeling very well, making each encounter a brutally fun moment. Even with the negative points raised, I consider Cahal's journey an excellent choice for those looking for a good hack and slash action game and an unmissable adventure for fans of the genre.

It may be more modest in its aspirations than the sprawling open-ended RPG some may have expected, but like a wolfpack on the hunt Earthblood is very efficient at what it does. Its story, characters and scope may leave something to be desired but its use of the lore is intriguing and its stealth and combat components are equally compelling. A pleasant surprise, Earthblood hopefully bodes well for future World of Darkness games.
Despite its original and creative idea, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is a game that after a few hours becomes repetitive and boring. With a fight that could have been better developed and with very poor graphics this is a title that may not meet the interests and expectations of many.

After playing Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood I am left with mixed feelings. It's one of those games where a note is never really going to be fair. On the one hand, this is a playable proposal, which despite some shortcomings, is quite fun. It combines stealth, infiltration and action quite successfully, making none weigh more than the others and balancing each level so that we don't feel like we're doing the same thing for too long. It also has a script that knows how to tackle a world as big as that of the role-playing game from which it takes inspiration and that offers us quite epic moments. The problem comes in a technical section that remains at half throttle with some CGI and a main character that are visually very well worked but that are out of tune with the rest of the characters and scenarios that seem to have not had so much work behind and that ugly the result

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood offers some brutally satisfying combat, but everything else in-between feels a little half-baked. It’s not that any of it is bad, but the stealth mechanics are inconsistently utilised, the level design can lack variety, whilst the visuals feel very dated – especially by PlayStation 5 standards. Despite this, I did enjoy my time playing through the game with the murderous rampages offered in Cahal’s werewolf form offering enough to make the ten-hour adventure worthwhile. Players might just want to keep their expectations in check if they were hoping for an adventure that really embraced a blend of stealthily sneaking around and all-out action fruitfully.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood might be fun during minute-to-minute gameplay, but it is seriously lacking in complexity when it comes to actual “role-playing”. If you’re after an experience akin to Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, you’ll have to hold out for its sequel.
It seems that Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood had some very nice ideas under its hood but they just haven't come together as good as they should in the final product. Although the combat has its moments and the world building is quite intriguing, at the end of the day it's just a cycle of repetitive and banal moments.
