Gnosia might not be a new concept – there are so many video games out there that feature death games with deception at the core of them. Last year’s Quantum Suicide even set the scene in space and had a less-than-benevolent AI pulling many of the strings, just like Gnosia does. But Gnosia is something rare: it is really, truly different. The developers wanted to take this common-enough concept and craft something that was truly their own, and not only have you got here a game that you won’t forget in a hurry, it’s also going to have you actively thinking about just how smart it is for some time to come.

We always appreciate and encourage original games, Gnosia is definitely original and experimental title in the way it was made and executed. Your goal is simply to survive the loops and end them, and no two players will play the game in the same way. Gnosia is a game that truly does show the power of video games as an entertainment medium, and it can't be adopted in the same way to be anything else.

The novelty of Gnosia, along with its heart really stands out. Yes, there are some problems with repetitious dialogue in the debates, the music really needs expanding and so on, but there is an undeniably addicting and fun side to trying 'just one more time.' Furthermore, the very clever AI, and the constructing of an over-arching story, certainly deserves good accolades. Over-looking a few problems, this is highly recommended.

With an all-new story, unorthodox gameplay, and originality to spare, GNOSIA is a masterpiece of the genre that deserves all the recognition.

I ultimately found very little that I disliked about GNOSIA. If anything, I can’t recommend it enough, and honestly, I can’t wait to get back to playing it. In fact, I’m ready to loop through another fight against the Gnosia again.

Gnosia takes the rules of a social game and turns it into a single-player science-fiction experience. Each loop will present you with more questions and slowly feed you answers to what is a compelling and unique narrative. The game is fueled by an amazing cast of insane characters and over-the-top mechanics that make it fun no matter how long you play.

Gnosia on Nintendo Switch successfully creates a single player experience from the elements of the Werewolf style, social deduction genre that typically requires a group of people to play. The need for other human beings is made irrelevant by utilizing layers of randomly generated mechanics to control the actions of each individual character. A focus on an overall narrative and character development helps to keep the experience fresh during each subsequent playthrough, so long as the minimal variety of responses don’t grate on your nerves.

Gnosia, like Raging Loop before it, takes the concept and turns it into a visual novel with stats and skills. There are lots of things it does well. Sometimes, it even feels like it does something new! But some of its decisions can also sends players in circles.

Gnosia is a bit like throwing Among Us and the narrative part of 999 into a shaker. Without decisions and choices, our task will be to survive and make the characters that interest us in each loop survive in an interesting debate mechanic to find the "traitors" that can become repetitive in the long run. Still, the story will make us want to move on to find out what is behind the Gnosia, and that time loop in which we are trapped.

Overcoming obstacles to reach the truth is the main motto of Gnosia, which can be translated into the Latin expression “through the difficulties for the stars”. With quick matches that can be completed in 20 minutes or less, you can feel the tension of playing a multiplayer in single player mode. With a sci-fi ambience that abuses the theory of the multiverse, this indie is, above all, an intriguing continuous experience, sometimes a little repetitive, that promises to arrest the player from beginning to end. In addition to stimulating logical capacity, the title presents another point of view on parallel universes that can even put our own existence in check. Are loops a metaphor for life?

I have to say that Gnosia really impressed me. I completely underestimated it by assuming it was just going to be some monotonous visual novel mystery game. I’ve never been happier to be proven wrong. The steady introduction of new elements, complex characters, and intriguing gameplay make Gnosia delightfully addicting.

If you thought Among Us needed more storyline, mechanics, and a single-player mode and you enjoy beautiful graphics with a compelling story, you absolutely must pick up Gnosia. The fate of the universe rests on your sleuthing skills, lest you become doomed to repeat history again and again and again and again and again

A unique blend of social deduction game and visual novel, Gnosia is a mixture of both and something new entirely. A strong narrative that’s unveiled little by little combined with a looping logic and deduction game make for a very compelling proposition and damn near essential for fans of either genre.

Gnosia is basically a solo Among Us. A good plot, interesting characters, we always want to learn more and more as the stories pass by quickly. If you're comfortable with reading a whole lot, you should definitely give it a shot.
