Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction is one of the most intense and exciting co-op experiences available today. It's an incredible addition to the Siege universe and one that stands alone as a fantastic demonstration of innovation in an otherwise stagnating genre.

Rainbow Six Extraction is Ubisoft’s attempt to jump into the multiplayer survival arena and despite a few game balancing issues, is quite enjoyable.

Rainbow Six Extraction ran the risk of being labelled as an expansion or an unnecessary spinoff, but confidently proves that there is more than enough room in this universe for a survival horror tactical shooter built on the foundations laid down by Siege. With a mixture of enjoyable objectives, a diverse range of Operators and a compelling gameplay loop filled with aggressive enemies and intense action, the addictive nature of the experience shines through with a constant struggle between playing it safe or risking it all for greater reward. Rainbow Six Extraction is full of truly exciting and memorable moments, continually testing your skill and perseverance around every dark corner, which makes it an incredibly gripping experience that doesn’t let go easily.

Rainbow Six Extraction is a refreshing addition to the co-op shooter genre that ditches endless horde slaying for refined, tactical, and stealthy gameplay. With enough support and new content, Extraction could set a new benchmark for co-op games.

The genesis of Rainbow Six Extraction started back in 2018. Ubisoft had introduced a limited-time event to their squad-based shooter, Rainbow Six Seige. This game mode, titled ‘Outbreak‘, tasked a cooperative team to take out a wave of aliens, rather than terrorists. With the event being well-received, Ubisoft has developed the formula into a standalone title.

Rainbow Six Extraction offers players a surprisingly new experience, a more stealthy take on co-op shooters than is found in the competition. With blistering difficulty, tension to spare, and a delicious argument-inducing bug out mechanic, Extraction uses shooter mechanics in ways that feel utterly unique and original. Perhaps a bit light on content, but we all know that more will come in time. A stress-filled creepy good time, even for non-shooter fans.

‎With all this and with the purest essence of Rainbow Six plus the additions that Extraction brings, we are facing a shooter that will delight everyone. ‎‎Fun to play, easy to learn but difficult to master, a beastly co-op‎‎ and a game mode that allows us to play new missions recurrently without falling into monotony or excessive repetition. One of those games that leave you wanting more, to play one more game when you have to leave it already and those that make you and your companions talk about when you go out on a new mission. Undoubtedly, a success on the part of Ubisoft that, once again, leaves us with a great title to enjoy.‎

Rainbow Six Extraction is an enjoyable tactical shooter that allows players to experience their favorite Siege operators in a new way. The game does struggle from being a bit repetitive due to the grinding process, but having a team to overcome challenges with makes the grinding experience more enjoyable. Missions do not feel like they are do or die; you can either retrieve operators in a subsequent mission or have them return naturally with time. If you are looking for a game that will have you grind for end-game material then you are in luck; otherwise, the game will feel like you have to work for every milestone.

Rainbow Six Extraction is a great co-op (or solo) experience built on the incredibly solid foundation of Rainbow Six Siege. Playing feels excellent and best when you're barely surviving, sneaking past deadly aliens and using tactics with your squad to eliminate the threat before it can do you any harm.

‎Rainbow Six Extraction is a nice surprise that does not lack character. The proposal is bold since the game takes the tactical aspect of the license and mixes it with gameplay elements inspired by roguelite.

Not only is Rainbow Six Extraction a great cooperative shooter, it also differentiates itself from most of the competition by promoting a more tactical, reasoned approach: the Archean threat is not to be underestimated, as things are always a poor decision away from tourning sour for your team. It's a real shame that you have to unlock almost everything though, difficulty levels included.

The game is interesting if you play with someone, but I'm sure that the game will get its popularity in casual games. Shooting, locations, monsters they are Archaeans are worked out and made at the highest level, the game lacks a little polish, but I'm sure that in less than a week after the release it will all be fixed.

Once you start playing Rainbow Six: Extraction, it's difficult to stop. From the XP feed to the randomized nature of the levels and objectives, there's enough to keep players coming back for quite some time, especially with the constant opportunities to pull off nice saves amidst the chaos and tension. It is a great alternative for Rainbow Six fans who crave PvE after playing PvP for so long, but it also gives single-player fans a solid opportunity to experience some elements from Siege. It's still early in 2022, and a bevy of other co-op PvE games are still on the way, but Rainbow Six: Extraction provides enough variety that it needs to be played.

Rainbow Six Extraction is an excellent example of how to evolve and diversify a saga without denaturalizing it. Siege's well-tested structure is effectively flanked by new mechanics designed for cooperative play, allowing the game to differentiate itself enough from the dense competition. All this is made more interesting by a good progression system and extra modes, ensuring a more than satisfactory longevity to the title. Definitely worth a try for anyone looking for a new co-op FPS experience.

Rainbow Six: Extraction is a near perfect translation of the Rainbow Six: Siege PvP formula of Tactics, Teamwork, and Tension into a PvE setting.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction is a thoroughly competent shooter. It’s a good companion piece to, but not replacement for, Siege. Though it’s best when played with a three Operator squad, it’s still functional as a single player game, though pretty challenging and not super rewarding as a solo experience. I enjoyed the mechanics of the Incursion missions, and learning the maps. Though the alien designs lacked originality, fighting them was still engaging. It was a nice break from combat with humans. I wish there was more to the package at launch, like a real campaign and characters to care about, not just avatar Operators to level up. Still, alone or with a couple of friends, Rainbow Six Extraction meets or exceeds the expected amount of fun. I wish it tried to do more.

Rainbow Six Extraction somehow translates the phenomenal gunplay from Siege into tense PvE incursions but can stumble with Operator diversification and mission variety as teams master their relentless and deadly alien foes.

‎Rainbow Six Extraction has surprised us for good. It is not just another cooperative PvE shooter in which to face hordes of enemies, but it has a tactical touch that brings freshness, and a structure of missions, progress, learning and difficulty that makes it very easy to get hooked on its formula. And it also inherits directly from Siege what today remains one of the best gunplays on the scene, becoming an excellent gateway for those players who want to start in Siege in a more relaxed way, without getting directly into the competitive component.‎
