Horizon: Forbidden West offers are beautiful - and dangerous - world with so much to do. I had a lot of fun exploring it. Glitches and bugs however regularly stopped me from completely enjoying the game.

Horizon Forbidden West builds upon Zero Dawn by adding new enemies, traversal options, combat, and a massive new map to explore. With the absolutely stunning cinematics, gorgeous ecosystems, and compelling story, there’s so much to love about Horizon Forbidden West.
Horizon Forbidden West nail exactly what a sequel should do, expand and improve upon what the first installment had to offer. It is a crowning achievement meticulously crafted by the geniuses at Guerrilla that fully showcases the power of the Playstation 5.
Buy! Experience! Enjoy! - that's basically all there is to say. If you liked Horizon Zero Dawn, you won't be able to get past Horizon Forbidden West. Everyone who is (finally) hooked by the release of the sequel is cordially invited to experience this masterpiece, but should think twice before starting with the predecessor. You definitely won't regret it, I put my hand in the fire for that. Regarding the story, there will surely be extensive discussions and comparisons about which one is better, but I won't join in. I find Horizon to be an impressive overall work. For example, Lord of the Rings only works for me as a trilogy. Not that I would now indirectly anteasern the third part (or yet?), but as a complete work Guerrilla has created here for me the almost perfect continuation.

Horizon: Forbidden West is better in every way. Aloy and the combat has matured, and top notch accessibility options ensure many types of players can experience her journey.
Evolution of Zero Dawn is much more enjoyable to play, with the AI enemies on higher difficulties offering a challenge for skilled players for many hours. Horizon Forbidden West continues the excellent foundations of Zero Dawn. It expands on them with themes from well-known and new characters, explains the details of an incredibly intriguing sci-fi story, and offers a fantastic experience in a dying world that only you and Aloy can save.

Guerrilla Games’ Horizon: Forbidden West is the sort of game that is easy to anticipate. It’s big! It’s full of interesting stuff to do! Many were sold on the promise of the PlayStation 5 at launch by the prospect of sinking days and weeks into a new Horizon. Thankfully, Forbidden West delivers on that promise in many ways.

Forbidden West outmatches its predecessor in both quality and scope, elevating itself not only over said predecessor, but also over many of its contemporaries at the same time.
Once again, we got to spend quality time with Aloy. Guerilla Games has crafted another gem in the franchise with Horizon Forbidden West. Fans of the first title will not be disappointed at all. Several annoying points have been corrected in this new chapter. Whether it's the more interesting side quests, the management of our inventory or even the level of difficulty, the result is fantastic.

Horizon Forbidden West is an absolute treasure that is not only a welcome sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, but also arguably one of the best games to grace the PlayStation 5 thus far – with a solid claim to being the best native PS5 game yet.
„Horizon: Forbidden West” is such a beauty. Not only because its terrific art design and technical prowess. The way it merges multilayered and deeply humanistic message with its aesthetical paradoxes and narrative flair - that’s what makes the difference. If only Guerilla Games didn’t measure itself by Ubisoft, making the game so damn unfocused.

After a strong 2021, Sony is hoping to capitalise on its growing first-party exclusives catalogue on the PS5 with a follow-up to 2017 hit Horizon: Zero Dawn - and they've pulled it off.
Horizon Forbiden West transformed Guerrilla Games into the best open world studio in the SIE. The vast world that completely eliminates the regrets of the previous game deserves to be called the standard of the next-gen open world.

Horizon Forbidden West doesn't really do much to revolutionize or innovate the open-world genre. However, it's a mighty exhilarating game with a great story, fun gameplay, beautiful graphics, and meaningful improvements over its predecessor, essentially adding way more to an already surefire wonderful experience.
The sequel of one of the defining games of the past generation may not be a revolution, but it is certainly welcome and breathtaking evolution.

Horizon Forbidden West, without reinventing the wheel, evolves the series in a natural and organic way. New ideas and gameplay mechanics, such as the hook and underwater exploration, stand next to the enriched combat system, to create a well-made experience. If you've played Zero Dawn in the past you already know what to expect, so grab the bow and get ready for a second round!

Horizon Forbidden West is an exceptional game. It expands on Zero Dawn in every possible way while also delivering some of the best interactions I have ever seen in an open-world game. Its world is breathtaking, the people are memorable and the gameplay is industry-defining.
Horizon: Forbidden West delivers everything that made the first game unforgettable and then piles on so much more. Character realism and environmental detail have been turned all the way to eleven. Every single element of this game has been crafted by perfectionists. Fighting off hordes of high tech machines keeps your heart pumping and the hugely diverse spectrum of machines to take down make you put a lot of effort into fine-tuning your approach to combat. The narrative lays down a perfect sense of urgency that drives you through a 20+ hour campaign that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Horizon: Forbidden West has raised the bar for the PlayStation 5 and is an adventure you won't forget.
