Destiny 2: The Witch Queen feels like something built for the veterans, for the long-standing fans. It's both a culmination of years of story and prelude to something much bigger.

The Witch Queen is a terrific addition to the Destiny 2 canon, finally balancing the combat and the story to near perfect levels. There’s so much here to enjoy, breathing new life into Destiny as a whole. Absolutely brilliant.

Simply put, Destiny 2 The Witch Queen makes Destiny 2 finally what it should have always been. With improvements in almost every area, a brilliantly crafted setting, and an exceptional story, Bungie is reaching new heights with Destiny 2. It's just a bit of a shame that two ‎‎subclasses‎‎ are now in danger of disappearing into obscurity, but bungie is already working on that.‎

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen represents the highest peak the franchise has seen in years, if not ever. Held back by some grindiness and nigh-inpenetrable plot gates, it’s one of the smoothest FPS experiences available today, thanks to its best story yet and a host of gameplay adjustments.

After a series of half-successful expansions, Bungie has managed to hit the nail on the head with The Witch Queen, enriching its Destiny 2 with the best campaign ever.

There’s no denying that the main story missions for The Witch Queen are great, Void 3.0 is very welcome, and if you do like chasing God Rolls you will be very happy. The Witch Queen is a solid expansion and I suspect many more secrets will be uncovered over the coming months, but I do hope the next year’s Lightfall brings us something totally brand new rather than reworking existing enemies and mechanics.

‎Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is the best expansion Bungie has ever developed, and it's all thanks to an interesting plot, alongside an antagonist that really matters and a beautiful new area to explore. But with all this in its favor, the studio continues to make the same mistakes as always, such as the lack of new activities.‎

Bungie is serving us the new best addition to Destiny 2, which is not only a fantastic adventure, but also shakes up the entire game world known to us so far.

Destiny: The Witch Queen is a spectacular sequel to Beyond Light, released in 2022. Fans have been waiting for years to meet Savathûn and now the time has finally come. The storytelling is excellent and there is plenty to do on Savathûns Throne World. Add to that the fact that you will again be presented with the necessary content for this year to entertain you until the next expansion, called Lightfall. It's just a shame that content like Gambit is still not fun enough to play. Fortunately, there is a new raid against that.

Witch Queen is thankfully a beacon of hope. Destiny was long mocked for the narrative and mission design it provided, and this new expansion absolutely knocks it out of the park with the best campaign in the Destiny series. If you’re a lapsed veteran I sincerely hope you come back and experience the joy of the campaign. Its challenging difficulty and brilliant — actual — in-game storytelling are worth the price of admission alone.

Bungie continues to improve its shooter MMO with the best story campaign it has yet produced and a whole lot of great additional content to keep players engaged.

Overall, I would recommend this expansion to anyone who seems interested in playing the game. Destiny 2 Witch Queen is arguably the best expansion the franchise has ever seen and while it may have its shortcomings the future looks bright.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is a good expansion, combining an excellent campaign and raid with a decent content offering, even though not much of it feels exactly new. Destiny 2: The Witch Queen may not be the best overall expansion in Destiny history, but this queen sure does put on a good show while it lasts.

The Witch Queen is not only the best and most complete version of Destiny 2, it's the foundation for something better still.

The Witch Queen is an especially robust expansion, with a particular focus on customizing the play experience and rewarding longtime players’ investment in story and systems. If it’s not the most welcoming moment for players to jump in, that may be a price the developers at Bungie are willing to pay at this point. The long-running story arc that opened in 2014 is gradually steering toward a climax, and it’s possible the developers are increasingly interested in building a ride for those who have been in the vehicle for a while now.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is the franchise’s best expansion to date. A great story coupled with exciting new gameplay changes make this an amazing experience we have all been waiting and asking for. The future is looking really bright for the game and the only complaint I have is that I have to wait for all of it.

The Witch Queen is the expansion that all Destiny players have been waiting for, and the best of Bungie's expansions to date. The new location of Tronomondo is fascinating, full of mysteries and breathtaking for the majesty of the fortress of Savathun and the areas that will be accessed by looking beyond the illusions. Thematically it is a campaign that matures further, taking to new levels what it began to do with Beyond the Light. The length of the campaign is far greater than in the past, combined with higher difficulties and replayable weekly missions, Destiny 2 The Witch Queen offers a fully immersive experience that values the investment and dedication of its players. Destiny 2 is currently in its best shape: rich in content, activities that enhance the new void subclass and adds extensive customisation of firearms with the crafting system. Balancing issues and drop rates remain to be fixed as soon as the team collects enough data.

Challenges Forsaken for the title of best-ever Destiny expansion, and has much stronger foundations to build upon. Destiny 2 was already in a good spot, but Witch Queen represents a new peak for Bungie's oft-imitated, never-dethroned looter shooter.

The Witch Queen offers Destiny 2's best campaign to date, an exciting new weapon archetype in the Glaive, and takes its first steps in revitalizing the Light Subclasses in line with Beyond Light's Stasis Subclass with Void 3.0. It also adds the enticing prospect of weapon crafting, which is unfortunately hampered by extremely grind-y requirements to truly experience the most weapon crafting has to offer as well as a raid that could be the most convoluted yet.
