3D has created a new area of exploration in the Kirby series. However, it maintains the platform action and cute world, which are the advantages of the Kirby series. It also has a great game design that is easy at first but gradually becomes difficult.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the best of the celebrations for the iconic Nintendo mascot's 30th anniversary, as well as a great starting point for a series that has been searching for a new identity for too many years. Hal Laboratory Inc. and Nintendo's new production isn't perfect in every aspect, but what was achieved with Kirby and the Forgotten Land is far more convincing and, with the right differentiations, this new iteration of Nintendo's iconic mascot could easily fill the hole left in each generation of Nintendo's consoles between one three-dimensional Mario chapter and the next. At the moment we can only assure you that Kirby has, at long last, found its optimum size and that Nintendo Switch has gained another exclusive of undoubted value.

With Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Nintendo is giving one of its most iconic heroes finally a 3D adventure. This convinces visually and playfully along the entire length and knows how to motivate with numerous secrets. It doesn't quite measure up to the likes of Super Mario and Link, but Kirby definitely doesn't have to hide from them anymore. In summary, a successful comeback that knows how to entertain young and old alike.

Truth be told, Kirby has lacked an essential game throughout his entire history, despite being one of the most recognizable video game mascots around. While Kirby and the Forgotten Lands may not quite be up there with the greats of the genre, it’s an incredibly pleasant experience with a great degree of thoughtfulness put into it, from the charming touches littered throughout its overgrown and unkempt world, through to its unabashed emphasis on fun as best evidenced in its hub world. This is a great Switch exclusive for players of all skill levels.

Overall, Forgotten Land is just a great time with a mix of genuine challenge and simple fun. Like most Kirby games, I don’t think Forgotten Land is going to set the world on fire but it’s really good. Like a favorite blanket, Kirby is always a joy to come back to and I’m really glad I played Forgotten Land.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land takes the Kirby franchise to new heights in new and interesting ways. Whilst it's not the full step forward that I was hoping for, it's still super enjoyable and excites me for what could be next in the Kirby series.

Enter Kirby and the Forgotten Lands with reasonable expectations and you’ll soon see one of the best refinements of a long-standing Nintendo formula yet. Cooperative play may waver in quality but does not diminish the wondrous experience ahead of you. On offer is plenty of platforming fun to sink your teeth into. Exploration, combat and the completionist itch that comes with a Kirby title are all present and strong here, and it also serves to be one of the longer adventures yet, with more to do than ever before. If you’re looking for the bright and joyous game to cosy up with on the couch this year, Kirby and the Forgotten Lands is without a doubt the one. Just maybe keep a suspicious eye on that beast pack.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a very important game in these dark times. It can take you on a magical journey to a faraway land filled with fun and dangers. There are few minor hiccups, but the game is still really good.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a delightful cotton candy fluff of a game. It isn't difficult or complex, but it is frequently fun and always adorable. It's almost more of a theme park ride than a platformer, but it does a great job of keeping itself engaging and interesting with a constant shift in mechanics and level design. The only flaw holding it back is the poor performance when docked, which could be a game-breaker for someone hoping for a Mario Odyssey level out of everyone's favorite pink puffball. If you enjoy Kirby, you'll enjoy Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and I'd be hard pressed to name a better choice for younger gamers.

Pink Vacuum Cleaner in the Forgotten Land? Good fun, a lot of interesting powers and Kirby as a slot machine throwing cans ... Fans of the series and the genre can count on a lot of fun.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land isn't a revolution for the series, but... did it need to be? All it had to do was deliver a game that was faithful to what has made Kirby a franchise that generates excitement, and it largely succeeded at that. Kirby took too long to make the leap to 3D, but the point is that he did it, and in a satisfying way

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a great adventure that's great to play. The colorful design brings this 3D Kirby adventure to life, while additions like the mouthful powers add are a fun new twist to the gameplay. It's a shame the co-op is a bit poor due to player 2 not getting the full range of powers. Nonetheless, this is a Kirby game that is worth your time!

All the frill and filler is optional; you’ve got an amazing world to explore and plenty to play and see. It’s got smarts, it’s got heart, but mostly, it’s got guts. If you want to see Kirby with a good dash of wonder mixed in, then Kirby and the Forgotten Land will transport you to someplace truly wonderful.

My family and I had a total blast playing this latest Kirby game and certainly I recommend it for Kirby and platforming fans alike. It's a joy to explore the 3D worlds and the new Mouthful abilities and Copy Ability upgrades are great additions to the series that I hope carry forward to future games. If you're looking for a fun, easy-breezy co-op experience for your next family games night, this is the one.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land brings everyone's favorite pink hero into a 3D environment for the first time in a mainline title - and it just feels right. One of the Nintendo Switch's best casual offerings, particularly for those who enjoy couch co-op.

HAL Laboratory studio has taken up the challenge of giving our favorite series a more modern look. I love that the devs dared with more wacky and over the top Kirby transformations than ever before and powers that are pushed to the maximum with their evolutions. The younger ones should find it a rather fun and accessible game, while the slightly older ones will have fun with the more advanced challenges. Kirby and the Forgotten Land isn't perfect, but it lays the groundwork to a futur of Kirby that I can get behind.
