SEASON: A letter to the future is like a vertical slice of an entire experience. It feels like a part of something bigger and leaves you with plenty of questions, and also wanting more. It is just like life in the sense that it does not give you what you want, and it is up to you to figure out what is going on. The story does a great job creating an immersive atmosphere, but it does not really give a sense of fulfillment. The lack of a proper conclusion leaves things wide open.

The proposal is very interesting and will remain in the memory of anyone who allows it. It does a lot with little and shows that in the industry there is room for more intimate titles that focus on establishing a world and giving a message before creating a fun experience, with the good and bad that implies. Without a doubt, an experience to remember.

There’s something special about the power that Season: A Letter to the Future gives to the player; the freedom you have to explore, to document, to see and do exactly as you wish. Free of threat and any real time pressure, you’ll simply become absorbed, seeing everything for the first time just as your protagonist is. For the action-oriented amongst you, that might sound a little dull. But we can’t overstate just how wonderful it feels to play something like this, a game that really doesn’t mind what you do or how you do it, as long as you’re doing… something. It’s freeing, wholesome, relaxing but evocative. And we wish it didn’t have to end. Let us explore more corners of this enchanting, mysterious world, please.

A wonderful exploration of a world that is recognizable yet foreign. Fantastical ideas mix with the ordinary in a beautiful bacdrop. this melancholy act of remembrance might not play to action fans but it's a truly evocative exploration of loss and change.

The visually stunning and thoughful Season: A Letter To The Future encapsulates what it means to be alive - and that's something worth writing home about.

If we're tallying up Season's problems, again, by far the biggest is that it's a shallow game that desperately wants you to think it's deeper than it is. It has some pretty visuals and solid voice acting, but at the end of the day, there's really not much more here than trying to give historical import to snapping that perfect Instagram moment.

All up, the credits rolled at the seven-hour mark on my end. SEASON didn’t overstay its welcome as some games often do, though conversely, it also doesn’t offer any reason to return once you’ve seen and done it all. As mentioned prior, there aren’t any checklists, you won’t find challenges here, and there’s nothing to collect beyond personal keepsakes for your journal. So one playthrough is all you’ll need here and if you don’t embrace a slower style of play, one where you really take your time to capture everything just right, you’ll likely finish the game in a few short hours. It’s certainly not a game for everyone, but for those who do take their time to thoroughly travel the open world and take in every sight and sound, there’s a truly wonderful time to be had in SEASON: A letter to the future.

Season: A letter to the future is an incredible achievement as it is a risky endeavor to ask a gamer to slow down and breathe in the world they have painstakingly created, but once you let go of your preconceived notions, it will uplift you with its profound narrative.

SEASON: A Letter to the Future is an unforgettable story about the power of memories—how joyful it can be to make them, and how painful it can be to lose them. It has rough edges. The story asks more than it answers, and the game feels too short for a journey of its magnitude, but these flaws only confirm what I already believe—that I wish there was more of this brilliant game. Whether you’re a lover of adventure games or simply looking to lose yourself on a mystical journey, SEASON has plenty it’s willing to show you.

Season: A Letter to the Future is a game that is difficult to rate. It is a game that will definitely go too slow for some people, while other people really lick their fingers at this. When you make the decision, it is perhaps best to ask yourself whether you are waiting for a game where you can completely leave the pace and hectic for a while and immerse yourself in peace. If that's something that sounds good to you and you don't mind that this game isn't particularly long, then Season is definitely a great game for you.

I can’t say enough how much I adore this game. It’s warm, it’s weird, it’s beautiful, it’s lonely, it’s full of emotion, connection, and what change is for us all as humans. In the same way, we crave change while we are afraid of it, Season: A Letter to the Future will be both a warm hug and some cold reality, a home and a strange land, and a joy as well as a heartache.

Very beautiful and relaxing in terms of presentation, but it lacks personality in its execution. However, although SEASON can be too ambiguous in its message, the game oozes a most evocative genre and magical realism.

Season is a game with a great many messages hidden throughout a simple yet impactful story. For me, it is a story about grief, memories, hope and connections. It’s a reminder to appreciate the little things this world has to offer, and how fragile they really are. It’s about the bonds we form with people – from strangers to family. It’s about how the future is uncertain and yet thrilling and exciting and out there waiting.

Season wants to create a dialogue between the past and the future, forgetting that documentary filmmakers have their own interests and opinions and that it makes no sense to decontextualize culture.

Season - A Letter to the Future is a joyous experience unlike any I've played in recent memory. It's a calming, cathartic game where you'll end up learning just as much about yourself as you do this interesting and unusual world. The scope narrows in the second half of the game, which was a slight disappointment, but the overall journey was still rewarding making it an easy recommendation.

Season: A Letter to the Future is a rush of emotions. You’ll feel happy, lonely, or even scared at any given time. It plays on the player’s curiosity and rewards those who take the time to explore. If you don’t have that time available, I’m afraid the experience will fall short. It’s a game that makes unremarkable situations remarkable through themes of memories and how we could lose everything in an instant.
