Bayonetta 2 Reviews
An absolute masterpiece from top to bottom, Bayonetta 2 is another gem that has been added to the Wii U's sterling library of exclusive games.
An absolutely phenomenal sequel, and one of the best games the Wii U has to offer.
Bayonetta 2 remains one of Platinum's best games, and is a treat on Switch just as it was on Wii U.
Bayonetta 2 is a system seller. It's a Nintendo-published game that is rarely seen, and a game that will legitimately make non-Wii U owners jealous.
Bayonetta 2 is surprising. Some of that is because it is an M-rated Wii U exclusive. It's also because it is a good game in a genre that doesn't seem long for this world. With everything moving open-world and online, Platinum is still sticking to it's area of expertise. And it's working.
"Don't fix what isn't broken" is one way of putting how Platinum has delivered this new game
In many ways, 'Bayonetta 2' comes close to being a masterclass in hack and slash style, but is invariably held back by some of the genre's usual flaws.
Bayonetta 2 is a worthy sequel, filled with ridiculously over-the-top action sequences and a combat system par excellence. Just don't come for the story.
Bayonetta 2 might not have the same manic impact as its predecessor, but is still one of the best --and most bonkers-- action games ever made.
Japan's Platinum Games has done it again, applying style and flourish to a control system of immense depth and assurance
Gothic universe and charismatic characters, masterful soundtrack and rich and accessible gameplay are on the program, the whole being served by an explosive staging that has made the reputation of PlatinumGames. Enough to spend many hours in the company of the beautiful witch, waiting to find her in a third part.

Platinum Games is the master of a dying art of Japanese action games, and Bayonetta 2 is a celebration of all it has achieved in its short life.
It's a frantic game packed with stunning set-pieces, thrilling boss battles and a fantastic combat system, even if it doesn't deviate too far from the original.
Bayonetta 2 is a solid game. It utilizes a simple yet interesting combo system, the visuals are gorgeous as they highlight your attacks and the enemies you battle, and the music and sound effects are top notch too. Although gameplay can be repetitive it still can be fun.
Bayonetta 2 is more than just a good action game, it is a fantastic addition to the already stellar Wii U lineup, and yet another reason to own the console. The fluidity of the combat and the unique visuals really help this title stand out among other action games, and I am extremely happy it got the chance to be made. Sure I would love to see a third game down the line, but for now this package will satisfy fans for months to come. A definite must own.
Bayonetta 2 is a smashing success, and proves that the WiiU can be the home of some great core titles. Now if only the wait for those titles could be cut a little shorter. Savor this one though, because titles of this level of quality seem to be few and far in between right now.
Bayonetta 2 may be nonsensical, tacky, and visually anarchic, but its got some of the finest combat an action game could offer. It's packed with style, looks magnificent, and is as elegant as spectacle fighter as you could hope for.
The remastered version of Bayonetta 2 is a moral imperative for every owner of the Nintendo Switch who didn't play the most stylish and crazy action series of all time. There are some issues with the framerate here and there (especially in the exploration sequences), and the screen of the console has a better image quality than the TV. Nonetheless, a must-have for every action fan out there.

The Wii U holds with Bayonetta 2 its trump card: a queen of spades that cuts practically everything that has been proposed so far in the genre and touches us in the heart. Starting on the hats of wheel to never slow down, the trip proposed by PlatinumGames and Nintendo is the type to relive indefinitely to always have in the mouth this inimitable taste.

Bayonetta 2 may not be appealing to everyone. Its sexuality and over-the-top tone may be a frustration to some. However, from a design and gameplay point of view, it is up there with the best in its genre. Bayonetta, the side-characters, and the world you’re fighting in are crazy and unique while the combo focused action is deep, yet accessible enough that you feel like an expert in no time. The Nintendo Switch version may not feature much that the Wii U original does not, but the console hybrid is the best place to play one of the best action games of all time. If nothing else, the re-release has made me more excited for Bayonetta 3 than I ever thought I would be.
