Humanity Reviews
What a wonderful game Humanity is. Tetris Effect developer Enhance has created something that's not only beautifully unique, but also ingeniously constructed and executed. Like the best puzzle games, you'll be dreaming of solutions all day. Its mechanics are also impeccable – this is the good stuff.
Humanity delivers some excellent puzzle gameplay in a weird, unique setting, and constantly ups the complexity and challenge in new and creative ways that should be experienced by all fans of the genre.
Humanity greatly succeeds across audio, visuals, puzzle design and more. It's an unusual game at heart but one that uses its abnormalities to its benefit. Practically unforgettable, this experience will test you as much as it inspires awe through delightful sensory stimulation. This beautifully complete and polished game may lose a touch of its precision in its later stages, though it still captivates through a wild ride of absurdist depictions and satisfying design.
Humanity is one of the best video games of 2023, offering an unparalleled puzzle game experience with minimalistic design, addictive gameplay, and a compelling story, now available on Xbox and Game Pass.

Humanity's confident blend of abstract visuals and ever-evolving puzzle design make it a fantastic example of the medium.
Humanity joins the stable of games published by Enhance that are weird and wonderful in all the right ways. Its abstract visual style, strange premise and trippy soundtrack all sit on top of its unique brain-teasing challenges, creating a game that quickly gets its hooks in you and doesn’t let go. For puzzle fans, or those who simply like their games out of the ordinary, this is a must-play.
Everything you want not just from a puzzle game, but from video games in general, you'll find in Humanity's simple yet effective formula. Enjoyable gameplay, level designs that make you use your brains but don't drive you crazy, and a sweet, sweet main character... WOOF WOOF! Well, I mean, definitely play it..

Humanity is an absolutely brilliant game that any fans of Mizuguchi or Nakamura’s work should jump right on. It’s the perfect antidote to the bombast of triple-A, a wonderfully contemplative experience if you allow it to be — and simply a well-designed puzzle game with some really interesting mechanics to engage with.
Humanity is such a well-suited metaphor and a precise representation of an intriguing title, condensed into one single word. This game bends around established rules and genres, introduces creative mechanics and provides you with enormous amounts of food for thought. My best attempt at brief description would be something like this: Everything, everywhere, all at once and for everyone! Because this title has a little something for everyone, so you better get to playing'

HUMANITY is one great puzzler that'll keep you entertained throughout its huge campaign of challenging and always-evolving scenarios.
Humanity is an excellent product, without a doubt: in its conceptual simplicity, Enhance's product transports us to a mystical world with gameplay mechanics inspired by Lemmings but naturally more original and evolved. A long campaign that shifts from classic puzzle norms to more action-oriented gameplay, along with a creative mode to craft or download levels, makes for an intriguing and long-lasting experience. Its only flaw is not being a true VR port but rather a straightforward translation to the Meta platform.

HUMANITY is a serious candidate among the best independent surprises of the year. The Japanese development team, with an abstract and minimalist Pindaric flight, puts players in the shoes of a daredevil Shiba Inu grappling with saving humanity. It does so by offering a modern version of the classic Lemmings full of inventiveness, variety and daring. The very audacity may make the title unappealing to the general public, who may feel alienated by some of the game design choices as well as by the overall presentation. With these due considerations, HUMANITY remains a little gem in the world of puzzle games.

Humanity is an excellent blend of puzzle and platformer that has an enormous amount of content. It’s one that will be in my Quick Resume for a long time as I jump in for a quick puzzle or two. It’s in Game Pass at launch on Xbox and I highly recommend anyone interested give it a spin.
Despite those issues though, Humanity is never less than an engaging puzzle game. Wrapping my brain around these levels was a joy, and the fact that players can make their own levels means I’ll be checking back in periodically to see what new ways players have found to twist my mind into pretzels. Humanity might be a second-tier game from Enhance, but that still puts it far ahead of most of the puzzle genre.
The level of difficulty is sometimes accompanied by some unexpected fluctuations, but overall there are no real dead ends due to the solution videos that are available at all times. Combined with the splendid level editor and the optional VR mode that grants an even better overview of each level, Humanity is a true puzzle hit that no genre fan should miss.

Humanity is one of the finest puzzlers I’ve had the pleasure of playing. I learned something from each stage and couldn’t wait to see what the game had for me next,. The developments and surprises keep coming along with the challenges and there’s plenty of long tail to come with user created stages and builders. Minor fiddly controls aside, this will be one I keep going back to and will surely stay among the best games I’ve played all year.
Humanity is a beautifully crafted puzzle platformer that will enthrall players with its elegant presentation and minimalist audio design.
Humanity offers a quality and creative challenge, without inventing too much fashion or complex gimmicks. It is based purely on the insight of those in control and still brings a background that manages to be engaging and consistent with the proposal. The icing on the cake is the endless replay factor with community projects that can be shared freely, making it an almost mandatory game for anyone who likes to spend a good time solving puzzles
