Amnesia: The Bunker Reviews
I hated it viscerally at our first encounter due to its misleading progression, but Amnesia: The Bunker eventually won me over once I fully understood its gameplay intentions. After the disappointing Algerian adventure, Frictional Games' return offers a convincing and enjoyable horror experience, strengthened by its open-map approach and player freedom. Balancing light and shadow, silence and noise, Henri's race for survival will captivate fans of the survival concept. It's not without technical flaws and replayability issues, but if you love these experiences, Amnesia: The Bunker is highly recommended.

Frictional Games achieves, with Amnesia: The Bunker, a true horror masterclass. In a recent landscape resuscitated by stupendous but perhaps all too classic horror video games, the Swedish team reminds everyone why they represent one of the benchmarks for the entire genre. Despite a rather restrained longevity and the abandonment of elaborate themes, the new Amnesia is an agonizing odyssey within the claustrophobic walls of a World War I bunker, constantly hunted by an invincible creature that forces us to improvise and adapt thanks to an incredibly interactive game world. It may even be too anxiety-provoking for some of the audience, but for everyone else: don't miss it.

A necessary refresh of the series after Rebirth and a very good purchase for horror game fans.
Though Amnesia: The Bunker isn’t as far-fetched as its predecessor, it is still wonderfully absurd. Additionally, the core mechanics are petrifying, and you’ll be fearful of the dark once you’ve completed your playthrough. Disappointingly, though, it is far too short as you don’t get much change out of 7 hours of horror fun. Yet, despite this shortcoming, I recommend buying it here! Can you keep the lights on and escape your destiny? Find the fuel, solve the puzzles, and avoid The Stalker.
Frictional Games surprises with Amnesia: The Bunker, an experience based on its most acclaimed franchise that will test our nerves thanks to a tense and oppressive atmosphere. It is a game that takes full advantage of uncertainty and the handling of lighting, atmosphere and sound effects make it a terrifyingly satisfying experience.

Amnesia: The Bunker is the series' lowest point, and doesn't give an indication for a hopeful future.
A classic entry in the series, a new flavor and a constant sense of suspense. Don't expect anything revolutionary.

Despite its price and some technical issues, Amnesia The Bunker delivers top tier survival aspects like no other, the race against time never felt deadlier and the stakes are higher for sure.

The new from Frictional Games is not capable of surpassing the barriers of games like The Dark Descent or Rebirth. However, it is still a good opportunity to understand and enjoy different readings of the same formula.

Amnesia: The Bunker has done the impossible - turning an annoying game of cat and mouse into a strategic survival battle that will have you feeling the stress the whole time. The freedom in problem-solving and a light but enjoyable story are only dragged down by the dated look and problematic loading.

Easily the weakest game in the series.
Amnesia: The Bunker is honestly a great horror experience that will get your heart racing. It’s a great self contained story in a horrific world of WWII.
Amnesia: The Bunker is a step in the right direction and a culmination of Frictional Games' entire journey. It is both a return to the past, as well as laying the foundation for what the future of the series could be.

Amnesia: The Bunker is a meaty package that keeps giving each time a new game starts. The world feels lived in, the horrors don’t ever let up, and no matter how much players try to farm fuel for the generator, they’ll never feel safe. It’s short enough to be finished in an evening, but I expect fans to play this game for years to come. Analyzing the way The Beast behaves, the intricacies of the randomization mechanics, and the unrelenting setting that portrays just an iota of what it must have felt like to be a soldier on the front lines.
Amnesia: The bunker is brought to life with powerful sounds and a great picture. It can feel like a – very disturbing and terrifying – escape room. In which you can't shake the feeling of being hunted.

Amnesia: The Bunker is not a game that you should skip, especially those of you who are fans of the genre, without this meaning that it will offer something innovative, as The Dark Descent

You will always be afraid of what’s coming next, and that’s the good kind of fear that comes from these horror games. Fear of the unknown. The fear keeps you engaged and pushes you until the end of the playthrough.
Amnesia: The Bunker comes together as a thrilling race against the clock that should keep even the most steely-nerved players on their toes.
Playing Amnesia: The Bunker was a great horror experience that scratched a long-time itch I’ve had for a while. The game ran smoothly, only stuttering when entering a new area like the Arsenal zone. The notes found around left me wanting to learn more about what happened in the bunker.
