Crash Team Rumble is a pick up and play multiplayer game that is shockingly fun. It gives players freedom while encouraging teamwork, with a variety of stages and characters. It has quirks and imbalances, but you're never too far from the next match or unlockable.

Crash Team Rumble is a surprisingly competent online multiplayer arena game that's easy to get into and well-balanced, leading to some tense and exciting games. It's let down hugely by a lack of modes and content though, and I seriously doubt its longevity in the long term.

Crash Team Rumble is an easy-to-recommend multiplayer title for fans of Crash Bandicoot and platforming.

If you're a fan of Crash Bandicoot, then you might owe it to yourself to consider giving Crash Team Rumble the old college try. The platforming you love from the series is ever-present, but mixed in with a healthy dose of competitive multiplayer action. With several maps, powers, relic summons, and all manner of chaos at your disposal, Rumble is thrilling, fun, and engaging. However, it does put all of its eggs into one basket with its solid, but sole game mode. For longevity, Rumble could use a smattering of other modes or potential options to alter the current game mode to stave off rapid burnout.

Crash Team Rumble is a solid foundation to work off of, taking what Toys for Bob built with Crash 4 and creating a new experience that can be a great deal of fun in short bursts, especially with friends, but currently lacks staying power due to a dearth of gameplay content beyond cosmetics that won't be enough to bring everyone back for more. If the game can expand in the near future and break through the live-service curse, it could very well stand as another classic Crash title, but for now it may well be another piece of lost potential waiting to happen.

Crash Team Rumble from Toys For Bob is quite fun. It features a balanced system of gameplay, some fun characters with unique gameplay styles, and a nice set of maps that complement strategy and quick gameplay. The leveling system may work its way to max quickly, but it doesn’t detour how much entertainment you’re going to get from this title. The biggest concern with this game is longevity and variety. It’s nice that Toys For Bob laid out a roadmap to tame some of this worry, something most companies don’t do well nowadays, but only the future seasons will tell the dedication to the title.

Crash Team Rumble's different foundation can be N. Sanely fun at points, but annoying live-service elements and design imbalances currently limit its appeal.

A surprise I never thought would work so well. Kinda like the Wumpa Bazooka, it doesn't make sense, but somehow, it just works!

Crash Team Rumble is too lean an experience to foster the community needed for a multiplayer-only experience, trading on the iconography of the series to bolster an otherwise forgettable game.

Crash Team Rumble's greatest achievement is also its greatest flaw: its own nature of a paid multiplayer game - without any single player content - forces fans to hope for a commercial success to have the right long term support.

If you enjoy multiplayer battle arenas and are a fan of Crash Bandicoot, then Crash Team Rumble is a game you will most likely enjoy; if you like an occasional multiplayer match-up, CTR can be a fun game to play but there are a variety of other options. Achievement hunters should pick up Crash Team Rumble because the achievements are fairly easy to earn and you can have fun doing so.

Crash Team Rumble could become a hit in the future if and when more players decide to join the servers, but spending at least 30 bucks in its current state may not be a good idea.

This 4v4 title with matches under 5 minutes is a blast for a quick evening couch session. On the other hand, the lack of any meaningful content, variety of modes, players and other makes it harder to come back to. But with reasonably spaced-out updates and seasons filed with content, this might just be a major multiplayer glow up!

The concept of a Crash Bandicoot MOBA game sounds appealing, but this fight for the precious Wumpa fruit has missed the mark. Crash Team Rumble lacks content at launch, and despite some decent gameplay mechanics, just isn't worthy of the franchise name.

The good news is that Crash Team Rumble isn't a bad game, mechanically. The play mechanics are solid, characters are well defined, and matches can be quick, which does well to compensate for the differently paced progression on characters and the season pass. Despite this, the concept is already a difficult sell, and with the absence of offline modes, the title is solely dependent on a player base to ensure that there is actually a game to play. The low price in this space, when compared to other titles from major publishers, might make it appealing for curious players, and they'll have a good time with it, but be warned that there is the real possibility of this being a title with a short life span if there aren't many other players who are either open to the idea or outright enamored by it.

Crash Team Rumble stumbles in some crucial areas that could've easily been fixed before launch, but what it manages to get right makes up for almost all of its negatives. It's recommended for fans of Crash Bandicoot and multiplayer players alike.

Crash Team Rumble is a solid experience. The platforming is on par with the original games, while the combat is satisfying and works very well. The final result is fun and has potential. Unfortunately, the game as a service structure is unoriginal. There is only one main game mode and a limited number of characters, so the game gets repetitive quickly. If it had a free-to-play format, it would be an exciting release. However, as a $30 USD game, it's hard to recommend.

I friggin' loved my time with Crash Team Rumble and I plan on playing it much, much more. Although I was a bit hesitant at first, the amount of strategy that you can incorporate allows this frantic multiplayer game to really shine battle after battle.
