Some of its worst problems are solved by adding new narrative layers, improving problematic systems, and ultimately taking the game to the level we expected at launch.

At the end of the day, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC probably won't change your mind if you just disliked the base game. If you even remotely enjoyed the original, then Phantom Liberty is an excellent DLC. It contains some of the best story missions, a host of cool new weapons, and a lot of time with Elba. The fact it carries over into the main story and offers a completely different endgame path is also very cool and means that it's a worthwhile experience - even for those who have seen everything the original has to offer.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is, quite simply, a must-play. With an engaging narrative and fascinating new locale, this thoroughly gripping expansion will be sure to delight anyone looking to dive back into Night City.
Phantom Liberty is what Cyberpunk 2077 was originally supposed to be. The plot is masterfully written and is supported by varied missions that - in the 25 hours or so (time that can be drastically reduced if you don't give yourself to exploration) that it took to completely Phantom Liberty's expansion and reach the new ending - literally kept us glued to the screen. This is enhanced by a superlative cast of characters (Idris Elba's performance as Reed is incredible). In addition, the various improvements made in terms of “quality of life,” between new weapons, dynamic events, and especially with regard to the skill tree, make Phantom Liberty a memorable experience, to say the least, that the player can build to his or her liking. If you have already played Cyberpunk 2077, leave the flawed experience of 2020 behind and dive headlong into this DLC; if, on the other hand, you have never played CDPR's creature feature, you will be the envy of many as you can have the ultimate experience in the Night City!

Phantom Liberty and the free accompanying Patch 2.0 do not result in a radically different game, but they do manage to elevate the Cyberpunk 2077 experience to perhaps the highest level it could reach given the philosophy and original design of the game.
With a compelling story, layered characters brought to life by stellar acting, stunning visuals and environments, refined combat, and some of the most varied missions in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty continues CDPR's tradition of offering some of the best add-ons in Always. A noteworthy purchase, especially considering the reasonable price of 30 euros, which is less than half what most triple-A games cost these days.

If you have been holding out on CP2077, waiting for the promised fixes, now is the perfect time to play it. You don’t necessarily need Phantom Liberty to marvel at its greatness, but if you decide to get it, you’ll up the experience to extraordinary heights. In the superficial, filler DLC era, having something substantial like this is a beautiful anomaly.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, along with its accompanying free update, finally completes Cyberpunk 2077 in a form that is much closer to CDPR's original vision for the title.

With the release of Phantom Liberty, CD Projekt Red has finally delivered the grand RPG they promised all those years ago.
Phantom Liberty is a bittersweet ending for Cyberpunk 2077. It’s culmination of all the efforts made to make the game something special. A stellar expansion that dramatically improves on the base experience, whilst delivering an epic spy-thriller storyline.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is an adventure that will not be easily forgotten with the adventure it brings, the emotions it makes us feel and the new unique characters it introduces us to.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, despite its rocky predecessor, manages to deliver a visually stunning and immersive experience. The production value is completely off the charts. I spent 25 hours in Dogtown and I still have a few things to mop up and another two endings (of five total) to see. There has been some great additions to games over the years, but for me this stands on top of the pile as the best expansion to date.
If you’re like me, and were initially a little lukewarm on Cyberpunk 2077, then definitely give Phantom Liberty and the new 2.0 patch a shot. It makes for a much better experience overall, and the Phantom Liberty storyline is a blast to playthrough. This gives me a lot of hope for what the next entry in this series will end up being, and has reignited my interest in a possible follow-up in a way that I didn’t think was possible.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is a fantastic expansion pack and update that vindicates the series and proves that it is the open-world sci-fi title that it is advertised to be, albeit after a lot of patches and work done years after post-launch. The world of Night City has come to life both conceptually and with its re-balanced gameplay.
Phnatom Liberty is the expansion that closes the life cycle of Cyberpunk 2077, a valuable addition that offers several hours of additional content of excellent quality and espionage-like settings.

Cyberpunk 2077 was an ambitious game on release, maybe too ambitious. It soon became a stable and phenomenal game overall. It was full of great characters with great gameplay and visuals. Phantom Liberty took what Cyberpunk 2077 had already provided and has given us so much more. The game has now incorporated a new area different in style and tone with gameplay to match. The new expansion drags you into the seedy, rough, and ready part of the city. You are bound to get lost in uncovering mysteries full of action and intrigue. I’d recommend anyone buy this if you are already in love with Cyberpunk 2077 as it offers up a new and interesting side to the game’s story.
Phantom Liberty delivers a top-ten experience for 2023. You can pick many facets from a stacked cast to incredible writing to break-neck fast combat upgrades to much more. Dogtown hides many nooks, crannies, and stories once you get past its security checkpoint. CD Projekt Red delivered an excellent experience that all players, regardless of their stacked gaming schedules, must check out.
