Mass Effect Andromeda puts the player into an enormous and varied galaxy, supported by a plot which moves away from the mood of the first trilogy. Andromeda is an incredible action-rpg, a new chapter of the sci-fi series made by Bioware.

Whether it’s the combat system that is both new and familiar or multiplayer with its improvements or the interesting variety of quests or the epic score that screams Mass Effect, it all gels together into a whole. Ryder’s galaxy is as well-suited to her as the Milky Way was for Shepard. If we’re lucky, there are a lot more adventures in store for Ryder and her crew. To take a phrase from the original trilogy’s Anderson, “You did good, BioWare. You did good and I’m proud of you.”

Mass Effect Andromeda is a huge space opera, made by interesting character stories and a beautiful and dynamic combat system, set up in beautiful planets rich of activities and sub quest.

I, for one, am going back to Andromeda, fighting the Kett and the Remnant, and I'm going to enjoy every second of it.

It's one step below the original trilogy, but even so it manages to improve it in certain aspects and offers a gigantic, overwhelming adventure, plenty of interesting stories. If it only had been more polished in the technical department...

Despite a few flaws Mass Effect: Andromeda is still a wonderful science fiction story with some memorable moments. It is without a doubt one of the best single player experiences on Xbox One. That said, it would be a mistake to overlook the online mode because the frantic shootings with friends is a great thing to do!

Mass Effect Andromeda is neither a bad entry to the series, nor a title capable of reaching to the heights of the original trilogy. If it enhances the core gameplay of the saga, and offers fresh new settings and a solid game lifespan, Mass Effect Andromeda's lack of finishing touches hurts the experience, whether in terms of technical performance or even core storyline and a cast of character that can't keep up with the Commander Shepard's crew. Yet you will experienced a new memorable adventure, marked by discovery, which becomes a sign that not only the game has traveled to a new galaxy, but the franchise itself is ready to explore new boundaries.

The game builds on the experience of previous titles adding an increased level of beauty and scale but doesn’t really add a huge amount of innovation to win over brand-new entrants to this genre of gaming.

Marred by inconsistency and in need of a polish pass, this vast new sci-fi frontier nonetheless rewards dedicated exploration.

Mass Effect: Andromeda has the series’ signature mixture of story, characters, and combat. Though its success rate varies in each area, it still provides dozens of hours of fun

I warp drived into Andromeda with low expectations, but emerged a fan. While many common complaints are absolutely true, such as the storytelling and animations being rough around the edges, the experience is successful in its mission of delivering the generation's first epic space opera. I can't wait to see what comes next.

I found it hard to be excited during the opening hours of Mass Effect: Andromeda. It feels too safe, too much like what's gone before, but then it clicks. There's a moment where the galaxy opens up and you find yourself embarking once more on a huge mission across compelling, beautifully constructed planets, surrounded by memorable characters. Sadly the glut of technical missteps serve to cheapen proceedings, but this is still an adventure you don't want to miss out on.

Mass Effect: Andromeda fails to deliver a compelling plot and the journey to a whole new galaxy offers little that's new or exciting. Still, it does give you the same quality gameplay the series is known for and you'll enjoy your time with your new crew, even if they're no replacement for the originals.

Mass Effect: Andromeda isn’t the most innovative game out there, but it’s easy to get lost in this imaginative space opera.

Mass Effect Andromeda is a return to the original Mass Effect game in ways both good and bad. Interesting characters, solid gameplay and RPG mechanics, and the revival of the open-world elements of the series will immerse and delight longtime fans. However, wooden characters, a light story, and plenty of glitches hold this title back from fulfilling its full potential.

Mass Effect: Andromeda starts out just a bit too slow, but is sure win over fans of sci-fi action RPGs once the real open-world space exploration begins.

Andromeda’s first adventure is plagued by frustrations. But memorable characters, a satisfying story, and deep RPG systems ultimately win the day.

Mass Effect Andromeda is a great game with some serious side effects. The bugs and glitches take me out of the experience at times, and some of the story falls apart, but the exploration and characters constantly drag me back in. It is a rough start for sure. I wondered a few hours in if I was going to keep going, but it finally sucked me in and never looked back. It feels safe, it feels like Mass Effect, but that is also what makes it worth playing.

Mass Effect Andromeda is a fresh start – but in borrowing liberally from the first game it’s made many of the same mistakes. In spite of them, it’s an exciting space adventure that delivers everything that’s become important to Mass Effect: Great characters, fun exploration and a climactic tale of good vs evil.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is a paradox: it's both disappointing and excellent. A mammoth title, it delivers tons of great content, but hamstrings itself with a poor first few hours, a few horrible systems, and some uninspired scenarios. Even so, it's pretty great!
