Persona 5 Tactica Reviews
Persona 5 Tactica is a fun attempt to bring the ideas and concepts behind Persona 5 into the tactical setting, but at times it can feel more like a proof of concept. The core gameplay is a lot of fun, the story is enjoyable, and it's a good game for Persona 5 fans. It suffers from the cast being so overexposed that it's difficult to get super excited to see them again, and the actual persona element feels a tad lackluster.
If you're a fan of the series, this is yet another spin-off that will please you quite a bit and introduce you to an addictive new genre.

With Persona 5 Tactica, SEGA and Atlus continue to exploit the adventures of the Phantom Thieves, delivering a tactical RPG that's at times essential but still fun. This new foray into alternate universes may not rival the original in writing and mechanics, but it's a well-written and mature story with fun and well-polished gameplay. A tasty appetizer that eases the wait for the future of the series.

Persona 5 Tactica is yet another Atlus experiment, again playing with some of its most beloved characters by jumping this time into the world of strategy games. The end result is once again an excellent title, skillfully blending paradigms of the genre with the series' classic twist. Mature themes, thoughtful art direction and fun gameplay are the calling cards of the production, which nevertheless features a difficulty curve that is far too friendly to fans of tacticians, dialogues that are perhaps too verbose and a decurbed exploration. Despite the inexperience, therefore, P-Studio succeeds in the big score: Phantom Thieves wins again.

Persona 5 Tactica sends off Phantom Thieves in style. It's your "one more time with feelings" adventure that packs many memorable moments that do these beloved characters justice. Add to that an endearing art style, satisfying gameplay, and spectacular music, and you have one of the best games of the year in a year that has already produced so many incredible games.
Persona 5 Tactica won't quench the JRPG cravings of those waiting for news about Persona 6 or Metaphor: ReFantazio, but it could well be one of the best spin-offs Persona 5 has given us. Although it doesn't aim to revolutionise tactical games or even reinvent the wheel, the way it exploits the strengths of the Persona universe, the very appealing gameplay, its sympathetic graphics and the charisma of the characters gave us some very positive moments. Too bad for a decidedly weak and underwhelming narrative pretext compared to the high standards to which the saga has accustomed us.

Though this won’t be for everyone, I enjoyed it. The fantastic audio and vivid graphics complement the Persona experience. Moreover, the layers of tactical nuance and the interesting story kept me focused throughout. My only complaint is the boss battles. I wish the developer had upped the ante to test veterans of the genre. Despite this complaint, I loved it and I recommend that you buy it here! Will the Phantom Thieves complete their mission? Choose your team, work together, and destroy everything in your path.
Persona 5 Tactica left me satisfied, but just barely. It could have been much more.
Persona 5 Tactica offers a captivating experience, but fails to introduce new and different game mechanics... something that others in the genre can do better. Still, it features a captivating narrative, on-point conceptual art and an extraordinary soundtrack. These elements in themselves help immensely in transmitting a rewarding experience to the player. However, we feel like it might be time to let our favorite thieves rest a little and embark on new adventures!

Despite all the good things about Persona 5 Tactica, it must be admitted that this experience could easily pass without being a Persona, much less a Persona 5.

If I’m comparing Persona 5 Tactica against the original game and the other spin-off, it’s my least favorite of the bunch, but the effort didn’t feel like an afterthought, as the story, character designs, and level designs make it an entertaining strategy game for those already well-versed in the Persona 5 world.
Persona 5 Tactica emerges as a bold step in the Persona series, introducing a strategic RPG gameplay and a unique artistic direction, diverging from the main series' established norms. While it excels in maintaining the series' aesthetic charm and offers an engaging narrative, the removal of social elements and the focus on strategic combat may divide traditional fans. The game's success depends on embracing its innovative gameplay and fresh character perspectives, making it a distinct, if somewhat polarizing, addition to the Persona franchise.
The strategic gameplay is fun but isn’t quite as deep as I expected. The story has moments that felt very on-brand for the series and well done, while at some other points, I wasn’t grabbed like I felt I should. The RPG elements are well made and add to the experience, but they don’t have the same punch as its namesake. I can see fans of the series enjoying it, but compared to its brothers, it isn’t as strong an entry, and franchise fatigue plays a part in my feelings towards the game. Perhaps Atlus should consider looking to the next era of Persona before they end up tarnishing the great legacy created with this one.
Persona 5 Tactica is a lesser version of Xcom or Mario Rabbids, lacking in both depth and variety, with a huge amount of dialogue that hurts the pacing and fluidity of an otherwise good story. At the end of the day, the greatest selling point are its beautiful cast of character and great style, even in this brand new deformed approach

Persona 5 Tactica is another masterful inclusion in the P5 collection of spin-offs. It’s a mish-mash of inspirations that weirdly works spectacularly. In no world did I think that Splatoon would be a factor or that I’d experience the closest thing to an anime interpretation of XCOM. What I adore the most is how, no matter how egregious the ideas seem, they all coalesce together beautifully. It kept me guessing, and I was engrossed until the very end.
Persona 5 Tactica is a great spinoff from a brilliant long-standing series, the switch from RPG to Turn-Based Strategy is a nice touch and makes it a lot more approachable for others while maintaining the same story quality we all know and love. The best part is that you don’t have to play the other games to get into Persona 5 Tactica, so if you’re a fan of wild and whacky chaos, this is a must-play for you.
Persona 5 Tactica is another great spin-off with a great alternative take on the story and exciting strategy gameplay.
Persona 5 Tactica's stylish, addictive gameplay and delightful chibi characters almost make up for the fact that the Persona 5 brand is starting to wear itself thin.
Persona 5 Tactica is an excellent strategy game. The combat feels fast and fluid despite its turn-based nature in varied and interesting stages throughout. There’s also plenty of variety in the character roster and customization via the personas and skill trees. The story felt like its own thing while never overstaying its welcome with awesome new characters. As well as having condensed and easy-to-navigate menus to not bog down the game. It is a very easy recommendation to those who have completed Persona 5 Royal and want a very streamlined introduction to the strategy genre. Considering the game even on normal or hard feels manageable, due to mastery of its amazing combat system that is just as enjoyable as the rest of the game
