If all you’re looking for is fan service, I guess Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash provides it, though it adds almost nothing to the established lore or characters. If you’re primarily interested in Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash as an anime-inspired fighting game, look elsewhere. A very short story mode, no 1v1 matches, poor design choices, and an overall lack of polish more often than not overshadow some occasionally fun combat.

While Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash doesn't reach the highs of CyberConnect2's anime fighting games, it has a lot of interesting ideas and offers plenty of fan service for JJK diehards.

Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash is a failed cash-in on an incredibly popular manga and anime franchise, that doesn't seem to understand what makes that franchise so popular to begin with.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash feels like nothing more than a soulless cash grab that likely exists only to fleece money from unsuspecting fans of the series. With lackluster combat, bare-bones modes, janky controls and an overall sense of unrefined gameplay, there is almost no reason I can recommend this game, even to JJK super-fans.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash isn’t bad, per se, but it is lacking. Maybe it’s hindered by the expectations associated with the IP, or maybe it’s just too much like every other arena fighter we’ve gotten. Either way, the lackluster take on the genre has a lot of jujutsu sorcery to learn.

Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash falls considerably short of its potential. The story, variety of modes and gameplay often feel like the bare minimum for a game in the genre. The many customizations paired with the really faithful character realizations and the cool 2vs2 mechanics just about save the game from being a failure.

Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash is an overall disappointing fighter that doesn’t quite live up to the franchise it’s adapting. There are kernels of exciting ideas scattered throughout, but there are a few too many problems to raise it above a pretty average experience – even for Jujutsu Kaisen megafans.

Finally, if you consider yourself a true fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, you may not miss this game, since you seek to offer us something that feels faithful to this work, although its negative aspects tarnish the good it can give you. With an acceptable number of iconic characters, in addition, you will be able to enjoy giving Ryomen Sukuna a well-deserved beating (for all the atrocities committed).

Lacking both depth and balance, Cursed Clash is ultimately a transparent attempt at trying to sell something solely based on its association with a popular IP.

Because of the disappointing presentation and lack of engaging modes, Jujutsu Kaisen Curshed Clash is difficult to recommend to anyone other than the most invested JJK veterans. While the characters and ultimate attacks can look great with well-constructed animations, the gameplay fails to be addicting enough to entice players to keep coming back. The franchise is an incredible vehicle for a great fighting game, but unfortunately that potential has not been realized in Jujutsu Kaisen Curshed Clash.

As it stands currently, Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash is a game that is fun and ugly but has so much potential even beyond its gameplay. The game presentation in other areas outside of gameplay and the poor story mode holds it back from being potentially one of the best to come out for anime games recently. Unless you're a die-hard JJK fan, wait for a steep discount to pick this one up.

"Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash" actually has all the ingredients for a great anime fighting game: A fantastic template with tons of cracking action, likeable characters, a great visual style and an exciting story in a rich world. It's all the more disappointing that the game as a whole makes so little of it.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash totally misses the mark, lending itself to even serious problems and only partly attributable to the low budget evidently made available for development.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash is unfortunately cursed trash. Its shallow, unsatisfying combat system fails to capture the balletic brilliance of the anime and manga's striking skirmishes, and its disjointed single player campaign is unlikely to be enjoyed by franchise faithfuls or prospective new fans. Given the enormous popularity of Gege Aktusami's series, it's frankly unfathomable how badly Bandai Namco has dropped the ball here.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash offers a unique and original two-on-two combat system, focused on cooperative play, but presented in an unattractive packaging with little love for the license.

The only way I could recommend this game, that is only for die-hard fans of Jujutsu Kaisen, this to add it to the collection of mangas, figures, plushies and more. On the other hand, if you like the saga only casually or are looking for a video game that is fun, I am sad to say that this is not your place.

With drawn-out battles, scary internal menu designs, and a terrible online system, Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash is probably one of the worst experiences I've had this year, and in fighting games in my entire life. A shame indeed, as I'm a big fan of the source material and would love to see it receive the quality and success that other Bandai Namco releases have had in recent times. Unfortunately, it wasn't this time.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash responds to the popularity of the Japanese animation series Jujutsu Kaisen with two seasons now. This is the only positive thing we can say about this title. This is partly because the Story Mode consists of short boring missions where the tough characters feel incredibly boring. And that is not already, but also the limitation of the story to the first season and the film is disappointing. Environments look recognizable, but for the rest Jujutsu Kaisen is: Cursed Clash an insult to the fans.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash had all the makings to be a pleasant surprise, but it manages to fail in every single way, with a poor game both in terms of quality and content.
