Cat Quest III Reviews
Cat Quest III offers an exceptionally charming and captivating adventure that redefines the series with stunning visuals and engaging gameplay. The game features interesting quests, a lush overworld map, and a fun local co-op mode. Despite some issues with NPC impact, broken equipment systems, and balancing, the experience remains rewarding and approachable for players of all skill levels. Perfect for a joyful weekend adventure, Cat Quest III stands out as a delightful addition to the series.
Cat Quest 3 is another solid entry in the adorable, indie RPG series. Its fast-paced land and sea combat, colorful designs, and fun new additions make this a must-play for anyone looking for a short, entertaining experience. However, after over eight hours with the game, I can’t help but feel like this game was only half-cooked.
Cat Quest III is simply fantastic. It’s got a vibrant world, fun action, a solid story, and, of course, pirate cats, all wrapped together in a package that should entice anyone.
Cat Quest III is a successful continuation of the accessible RPG series that many players love. It's easy to see why people enjoy Cat Quest III so much. The narrative—despite its childlike simplicity—manages to present an endearing story with adorable characters. It's a real treat to look at, thanks to the stylish graphics, captivating animations, and the exotic pirate world. In the Purribean, you encounter various types of adventures, making it a pleasure to explore in your pirate ship. However, be aware that the combat mostly revolves around mindless button-mashing, and the lack of challenge can sometimes make this childlike RPG feel a bit sleepy. If that doesn’t bother you, then Cat Quest III is definitely worth your Spanish silver.

Don't let Cat Quest III's cute presentation put you off: it manages to combine a colorful and fun production with an interesting pirate story, lots of cool surprises and top-notch gameplay. The only limitation to the game is the length of its adventure, which, although intense and charming, is very short. Who knows, future updates may bring more content so we can enjoy this captivating world even more.

In the end, what remains is a not perfect, but immensely charming little pirate adventure that awakens your urge to discover and rewards it. A little insider tip for all genre fans and cat lovers.

It feels great to be in this purfect little cat-RPG world, and the smaller-scale RPG nature fulfilling my completions brain in a weekend is just what I need to release meow gamer purrs.
It's refreshing to play a game where all the unnecessary padding has been stripped away. Cat Quest III by The Gentlebros is highly recommended and it even prompted me to look up the earlier parts. The game is an old-fashioned Zelda with a pirate and cat theme. The game looks nice and colorful and has its own style. The fights, the weapons, the wild extras and characters provide a great gaming experience. The fact that the game even becomes too easy at a certain point does not spoil the fun. Cat Quest 3 is a fun and light-hearted sequel that you should play alone or as a couple.

Cat Quest 3 pulls off a balancing act that few games manage to. It is accessible enough for nearly anyone to jump in while being fun and engaging enough for players who prefer more mechanically dense RPGs to still have a ton of fun. It is oversaturated with personality and charm, making every minute of playing it filled with something funny, interesting, or unique.
Cat Quest III will feel familiar to some, but with the rewarding gameplay loop, gorgeous visuals, and fun co-op action, I’m certainly not complaining. The introduction of naval combat and exploration adds to the excitement, whilst playing through the adventure in local co-op was a treat that I certainly won’t be forgetting anytime soon. It’s just a ton of fun to play, whilst the plethora of quests and secrets to discover ensure that the world is a treat to explore. It's just really, really, REALLY good, and whilst some returning gamers might wish that the gameplay loop had more of an evolution, I loved my time with Cat Quest III. Why fix what isn’t broken, right?
I don’t think Cat Quest III is going to blow anyone away, but I think it is entirely worthy to be in this franchise. Do you like fun action RPG games that focus on solid, simple game mechanics? Do you like cats? Do you enjoy exploring and finding things to do in the world, searching around for a bit, and then going through the game again? Then you’re going to get your money’s worth and more from Cat Quest III.
Cat Quest III is refreshing fun for maritime cat lovers. It offers fun battles, which are even quite in-depth thanks to the various builds, while the sea battles remain somewhat simpler. The style is cute, the many puns perhaps a little over the top, but what prevails is the innocent joy of exploring all the islands and their loot, solving puzzles and perhaps having someone sitting next to you for local co-op. Not a game revolution, but pawsome for a few evenings.

The latest entry in the Cat Quest series showers us with more quests, more secrets, and way more fun. A textbook example of how to properly make a sequel that doesn't overstay its welcome.
Cat Quest 3 is a game that knows what it is and leans into it. It's simplistic and won't be challenging for most, but the puzzles make you think, and the dialogue makes you laugh.
Cat Quest III offers a decent amount of gameplay for the price, a colorful, consistent, and fully realized art style, and a game that can be completed 100% with a friend.
While simple in design, Cat Quest III offers quite a bit of a challenge for the first few hours until you find a favourite weapon or spell (or two) you can cheese with, like with the Orion Sword and lightning build I made up and hour-and-a-half in. Still, this doesn't discount the fun factor and charm the game embodies. Plus, the added New Game Plus mode, the Infinity Tower challenge, and Mew mode modifiers where you can make the game harder for yourself (like no leveling up or no upgrading equipment) will definitely sate challenge buffs everywhere. Simply put, Cat Quest III offers a lot for both casual and hardcore action RPG fans who want a bit of open-world on an indie game scale, a good chunk of feel-good equipment-based fighting and spellcasting, and a whole lotta cute. Just prepare to read through a barrage of animal puns in the story.
