Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is easily the best and most robust collection of classic Capcom fighters so far. While the lack of crossplay is still a disappointment carrying over from Capcom Fighting Collection, everything else about this collection shines bright. It is a truly exhaustive compilation that celebrates so much no matter how much you're into Capcom, Marvel or both.

Capcom's nostalgic package of classic comic book arcade games delivers exactly what you expect. Unfortunately, it doesn't really add anything extra.

When playing through Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, one is reminded of how good Capcom is at licensed games. Each of the games in this collection is a stone-cold classic, and even though more people will end up gravitating toward Marvel vs. Capcom 2 more than any other game, each title represents the kind of fighting game you wouldn't mind revisiting. There's still some tweaking that needs to be done, from the online performance tanking at times to having some more menu option explanations, but that doesn't take away this collection's overall quality. If you're a fan of 2D fighters, you need to have this game in your library.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is a beautiful and nostalgic tribute that revives 7 iconic fighting games. Although the lack of additional modes and cross-play limits its potential, it remains an excellent option for both veteran and new players. Still, we can't help but feel that Capcom could have done more to make it the ultimate collection

A comprehensive collection (at least until MvsC2) with enough improvements and quality-of-life elements to make this by default the best way to play these games.

It can be said that while Marvel vs. Capcom Collection may seem like just a collection of classic fighting games on the surface, but it actually much more than a simple collection. We're treated to a rich collection of Capcom's classic fighting masterpieces, some of which haven't been officially available for decades. This collection not only gathers all these works together, but by making targeted changes and very effective improvements, it turns the experience of each of these works into the best experiences that each of them has offered to date.

MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is a monument in video game format. Collected in a single title are seven of the most important crossover fighting games in gaming history, including the immortal Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes. Despite minor issues like glitches in Marvel vs Capcom 2, Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is a must-have for fighting game fans, especially if you grew up playing in arcades or are a big fan of the Versus series. The collection also serves as an excellent gateway for new players to understand the foundation of several modern titles, like the origins of extremely popular mechanics such as air combos and double jumps that originated in the Versus series, making the title an excellent "time machine" that respects the legacy of the entire franchise and has the potential to catapult the franchise to new heights.

I would like to thank Capcom for this collection of fighting games. It gave me the opportunity to catch up on some real gems from the past. The Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is certainly not for every video game fan. The fact that beginners are not taken by the hand at all is also not aimed at casuals. Nevertheless, this collection is worth every penny and a must-have for fighting game enthusiasts. Especially as the offline mode is really extensive and it will take some time to master every title and character included.
