Whatever dissonance hovers in the air at the start of I Am Your Beast will have dissipated by the time you reach the final level. “You’re creating a no-win scenario for yourself,” screams Burkin as he throws the full force of the government at you. In response, Harding simply, satisfyingly, and coolly rejects those terms. As the lyrics to that final level’s original track kick in, you’ll come to know what he knows: that there will always be another level, and that you will always be someone else’s beast—unless you find a way, however bloody, to be your own man.
I Am Your Beast is a silly game and it has some jank. There's not a lot to play unless you're the speedrunning type but what's here is fun. The delay and patch were sorely needed and I'm glad to recommend at the very least wishlisting the game on Steam. There's some jank, the game isn't a looker, and it's not very long on its own, but it's worth checking out if you want something quick and silly. From the sick kills that start with a headshot, letting you catch a gun midair. Other times hitting a beehive or explosive barrel and taking out multiple dudes is fun too.

While a few rough edges in parkour mechanics and mission design prevent it from achieving mastery, its thrills and aesthetic make it an ultra-violence power fantasy. This is a game where every second counts and every kill is a testament to skill.
I Am Your Beast is another major work from what I consider to be one of the interesting studios in the industry right now. Stylish, adrenaline-fueled action in a pulpy game that knows exactly what it is.

A game that showcases the studio's best strengths — narrative and sparse but effective presentation — with by far their best-playing game to date. There are few games that make me feel as powerful as this does while still maintaining the fun that I Am Your Beast does. I said it once, I'll say it again: I Am Your Beast kicks ass.
