Monster Hunter Wilds is probably the first game in the popular franchise to really consume me. Whether it was because I played a lot of it with a couple of friends or just didn’t really give the previous games enough chance, I am not entirely sure. What I can be sure of though is that it is a rich and detailed world that feels fantastic to play, both for veterans of the series and newcomers also. I have read various comments from fans stating that it is a little easier than previous experiences. For me though, it was challenging enough without becoming too difficult to drive me away. The fluidity of combat seems drastically improved on what I have delved into before. Sure there could still be some minor improvements going forwards, most notably the cluttered and untidy UI. But for the most part I had a great time and will continue to do so after 20+ hours with the game. For those solo players out there like myself who tried and didn’t like Monster Hunter, try and grab some mates to enhance the adventure. If not you could try the looking for game feature on Xbox, which I used for the very first time to find others to slay giant monsters with.

Monster Hunter Wilds is a really great production that will appeal to both series veterans and entirely new players. The variety of monsters, engaging combat, large arsenal of weapons, and well-designed crafting make every hunt truly exciting. However, we can’t overlook certain flaws, such as the outdated graphics, unnecessary microtransactions, and a lackluster story, which further emphasizes that playing the game solo is far less enjoyable than hunting with friends. Still, it’s definitely worth going on this hunt!

Monster Hunter Wilds continues to smooth out the edges of the series in clever ways, making the experience more accessible and fluid. However, in this quest for simplicity, the game has lost some of the challenge that made equipment and progress so satisfying in previous chapters. The more dynamic and responsive combat is among the best in the series, but without a truly challenging endgame, the fun is likely to fade quickly, unless Capcom soon releases new monsters capable of really challenging us. The graphics system really let down for those without top-of-the-line PC components, this problem needs to be fixed if you don't want to shoot yourself in the foot

In its cathartic gameplay, Monster Hunter Wilds shows that even the world’s grandest predators can fall when their weaknesses are understood and exploited.

Monster hunter wilds is not a perfect game but its pretty close. I had few instances where in a fight my weapon would become sheathed. Which would cause me to either take damage or miss opportunities to land a big hit on the monster. It was not an important thing for me, but the story is linear, good but linear. I know for others that can cause them to lose interest.

Monster Hunter Wilds doesn't revolutionize the series. In fact, it takes what it does best and makes it more accessible. Battles are fun, and so are encounters. Getting support, whether from strangers, friends or NPCs, has never been easier. Despite all this, the game suffers from problems that don't place it among the best in the franchise. The game is much shorter than we're used to, and sound problems are recurrent. But that doesn't stop me from having a lot of fun with Monster Hunter Wilds. And so should you. It's hunting time!

Monster Hunter Wilds improves on the series by introducing many welcome new features that pave the way for new gameplay strategies, reaching gameplay peaks that have never been so high, while the environments and new monsters are also decidedly fascinating. Despite a graphics engine that fails to properly support the game world and a drop in difficulty that might make purists turn their noses up at it, we are faced with an excellent and enjoyable title, recommended both to newbies and lovers of the franchise.

Monster Hunter Wilds proves to be an ambitious evolution that aims to redefine the standards of the series, and the revolution implemented in worldbuilding and progression makes the title more immersive than ever, also thanks to the changes made to the gameplay. However, it is not without criticism, which we hope will reach the development team so that they can remedy it, as we have been used to. We are facing the present of the series, which draws on the past to create a point of reference that will dictate the future standards of the saga, and we cannot help but be curious to know what else Capcom has in store for us in the upcoming Title Updates.

‘Monster Hunter Wilds’ is one of the best games in the franchise to date. Excellent combat that has never felt better, thanks to the ability to aim attacks. A plethora of quality of life adjustments making the game more accessible for new players and more convenient for veterans. The new assortment of monsters are both originally designed and fun to fight. It’s narrative feels like a retread, but it’s rewarding end game will keep you engaged. Performance is questionable and sadly does effect the otherwise brilliant experience.

Monster Hunter Wilds is imperfect, but that's okay, because it still manages to shine and offer an outstanding game. With a combat that is even better than its predecessors, with bold and interesting proposals, a campaign that is fun to follow and with exuberant monsters on the screen, it is ideal for both diehard fans and newcomers alike. But, as said, it is imperfect, since it has considerable performance issues and there is still a lot of room for improvement and refinement of its systems.

Monster Hunter Wilds revitalizes its followers' faith by creating an engaging and thrilling game world. While not perfect, the fun and adrenaline it provides are comparable to few other titles. If you're on the fence about buying it, we highly encourage you to try it. Join the 8+ million people who have already purchased the game in its first weeks of release, and get ready to spend countless hours hunting monsters and mastering the (exhausting and numerous) game menus. It may not be the most pleasant experience, but it will be worth it.

Monster Hunter Wilds brings a breath of fresh air to the Monster Hunter universe. The game stays true to the formula, but introduces exciting new ideas and mechanics that deepen and expand the gameplay experience. In particular, the open world and dynamic ecosystem bring a new excitement to hunts, while the expanded team interactions add depth to battles. With its many quality-of-life features, it allows new players a good introduction to the series without robbing the series of its core mechanics. However, there are also a few stumbling blocks. The open world can sometimes feel a little too empty if players are not familiar with the new mechanics. And performance is currently the biggest point of criticism. Nevertheless, Monster Hunter Wilds is a successful evolution of the series that will captivate old fans and newcomers alike. Anyone who loves hunting is guaranteed to have fun with this new chapter.

I’d love to talk about and gush over all of the cool aspects of Wilds, but for a review, there’s largely no point because the overbearing streamlining, hand-holding, and dumbing down of the game completely ruins those cool aspects for me. Anything positive thing I could say would have a hundred caveats waiting in the wings. For the first time, I have a new entry in one of my favorite video game series, and I have absolutely no desire to play it.
