Shin Chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is simply one of those games that help you realize that games are simply not about insane amounts of graphics, expensive franchises or exhilarating combat. Simply catching fish during the day and serving piping hot dishes during the evening can bring much more amount of joy and peace to the mind. Shin Chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is a charming addition to the Shin Chan video game franchise. It successfully captures the playful spirit of the popular anime while offering a relaxing gameplay experience perfect for kids and adults alike.
Overall, Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town definitely works better for players that can deal with repetition, and appeals directly to the cozy games public. It's an excellent title in-between big games, but with a last remark: Shin Chan's hammy humor sincerely didn't age well and can be eye-rolling at a few moments.

Shiro and the Coal Town is straight to the point: A Slice of Life game with the vibe of a movie from an episodic franchise. It's a game with very beautiful and contemplative art, showing you beautiful scenery at the same time as putting you in the middle of an adventure.

Shin-Chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is a journey through time. Playing it reminded me of the different episodes of the anime I watched with my parents and the laughs it gave me. The beautiful environment with an open world full of life, items to catch, fish to catch and plants to harvest and sow make this a pleasant experience for anyone looking to have a good time. Unfortunately, this good time turns into stress when we start doing the main and secondary missions that start to be too repetitive and require too many of the same items, which leads us to have to waste time wandering around the map for hours and hours on end.

Shin-chan: Shiro and the Coal Town delivers a good cozy experience of Japanese culture and rural life wrapped in a hand-drawn anime-like presentation and highly accessible and simple collect-a-thon mechanics. However, gameplay complexity and variety leave more to be desired, while the title suffers from some awkward animations due to its fixed camera perspective.
Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is a light-hearted, nostalgic adventure made for its fans and anyone who delights in casual games of exploration, such as Animal Crossing. Its cozy rural village, Unbent, and the mysterious, dreamlike Coal Town provide a very nice backcloth to Shin-chan's quirky interactions and simple tasks.
Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town's Showa-era art style will transport you to rural Japan in all its quaint, charming detail and provide hours of entertaining narrative with bizarre characters. Although there is some griding in the action, the game nevertheless manages to put you through warm-hearted comedy, providing a nostalgic break.
Shin-chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is an enjoyable sequel that doesn’t bring much innovation, yet retains the simple charm the franchise is known for.
Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is a gentle game that delivers a charming experience with its simple story and easygoing gameplay. However, it suffers from some serious technical issues that may affect enjoyment.

Shin Chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is a delight that I can recommend to fans of the series. With no calendar system, play at your own pace with no need to rush. Help out the villagers, collect everything, and even compete in races. It's a story you can tackle whenever it feels pulled out of the anime. Beautiful visuals that make the price of admission worth it alone. Sadly, a critical save bug keeps me from recommending the PC version. While I wanted the game to do more, I can't deny that I enjoyed my time and hope it continues to improve.
Shin-chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is a slow life simulation game paired with an engaging adventure involving the mysterious Coal Town.
All in all, Shin Chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is a cool combination of relaxation and collecting various items. The game looks super cool. With strong characters, fun side missions and a new large area, this successor not only knows how to entertain, but also lets you relax. Despite the fact that the story lacks some depth here and there, it is a game with a lot of charm. It knows how to translate the adventures of the cheeky Shin Chan in a great way into a cool game.

Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is a beautiful-looking, cosy, and laid-back casual game with enough adventure elements to keep you hooked for hours. The game evokes nostalgia, reminding you of childhood trips to your grandparents’ village, where you’d spend time exploring and soaking in the simplicity of village life. Despite its relaxed pace, the game has an extensive story, with a collection and exploration-based gameplay that is made for a specific audience who don’t mind a repeating gameplay loop. I believe it’s best enjoyed in short bursts, rather than playing through it all at once.
