Forgive Me Father 2 Reviews
Forgive Me Father 2 is a great throwback to the golden age of shooters, pushing you to your limits of your own abilities and your sanity.
If, however, you can tolerate the occasional frame rate dive to experience one of the most stylish and mechanically engaging Lovecraftian shooters released in years, then the Priest’s violent descent into madness is well worth undertaking—just be prepared for console stutters to pull you abruptly back to reality.
Look, the story sucks, the use of Unreal Engine 5 isn't really that well optimised and the progression system feels like an arguable step back from what we saw in the first game. However, taking all of that in consideration all the same, Forgive Me Father 2 still provides a frequently impressive looking and appropriately blood pumping shooter that allows players to live out their Lovecraftian carnage fantasies.
he game’s ability to blend classic shooter mechanics with Lovecraftian horror creates a unique and memorable experience. Whether you’re a fan of the original or new to the series, Forgive Me Father 2 offers a thrilling journey into madness that is not to be missed.
Forgive Me Father 2 doesn't last long to be story driven, it loses a bit of charm towards the end and has some imperfections such as a revisable difficulty balance, yet it convinces in its evolutionary attempt. It succeeds by renewing the "Lovecraftian" experience of Forgive Me Father with a clearer and more intuitive customization, blending it with a more mature and stimulating level design and applying everything to an old school context with a more intelligent rhythm.

Byte Barrel returns with another explosive love letter to all things Lovecraftian.
Forgive Me Father 2 is an old-school shooter, but it brings enough new ideas to the table in terms of its wildly imaginative weapons and intriguing story.
An amazing game fit for almost every player. From its fun quick-paced gameplay to its innovative graphics, it's hard to think of anyone who won't enjoy Forgive Me Father 2.
Forgive Me Father 2 is a throwback FPS with a stylish Lovecraftian presentation. If you're craving a slick arena shooter to play for a few hours then this is a good option, although the pedestrian level design and short campaign holds it back from competing with the best in the genre.
The continuation of the successful action game in retro style exceeded expectations and brings a great dose of adrenaline.

Forgive Me Father 2 is a great first person shooter. Surprisingly decent weaponry, mostly enjoyable level design and intense sequences of fight. However, as you’d expect, it’s a bit repetitive after a while and platforming isn’t ideal in an FPS. If you’re looking for balls to the walls action and colorful weaponry, Forgive Me Father 2 is one of the best games of 2025.
Forgive Me Father 2 delivers an immersive blend of Lovecraftian horror and intense shooter action. With atmospheric visuals, a gripping story, and satisfying combat, it stands out despite some overly complex levels and unbalanced difficulty. A must-play for fans of cosmic terror and fast-paced gameplay.
Forgive Me Father 2 is a sequel that greatly improves on certain aspects such as level and weapon design and exploration.

Forgive Me Father 2 is a fun and chaotic game that is filled with beautifully crafted locations that are fully explorable with numerous secrets hidden within. The weapons are incredibly detailed with all kinds of bizarre and haunting variations that will have players afraid of their own weapons, let alone the horrors awaiting them. Bar the lack of some tutorials, the overall gameplay loop is very fun with an interesting story.
When everything is working as it should, Forgive Me Father 2 is an absolute blast. The joy of mowing down hordes of eldritch horrors with grotesque, imaginative weapons cannot be overstated. On the downside, the story is confusing at best and forgettable at worst and the performance issues are glaring on PS5. But if you're in the market for a boomer shooter that leans heavily into Lovecraftian weirdness, Forgive Me Father 2 delivers where it counts.
Forgive Me Father 2 takes the first game’s foundation and cranks it up. The shooting feels better, the levels pull you in, and the weapons are pure chaos. The story’s light and the checkpoints can sting, but the nonstop momentum kept me hooked. If you’re into old-school shooters that thrive on speed and madness, this one’s an easy pick.
Brutal and thrilling, Forgive Me Father 2 is the distant cousin of DOOM that nails creativity and visuals but stumbles on technical aspects.

Forgive Me Father 2 doesn't require much explanation. It's simply a straightforward shooter that feels a bit like Quake, with fast and brutal gameplay. The illustrative graphics make the game a bit more unique than any other shooter, and the very light RPG elements, including the book that grants you extra abilities, add a touch of variety. The hidden rooms and the keys you can find offer little extra challenge. The game remains fairly linear. Yet, it plays smoothly. If you enjoy a single-player shooter without too many frills, then this is the perfect game for you.
