Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Reviews
There is no other game I have played that is like Xenoblade Chronicles X, whether in the good or bad aspects, the experience is unique. I loved the game much more playing this new edition, I still had some difficulties in understanding everything, of course, but I'm actually convinced that many of the issues maintained here are essential to make the game what it is. All it asks is that you dive headfirst into the experience and seek to explore the planet Mira to the fullest.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is bold, ambitious, and one of the most immersive open-world RPGs on the Switch. It’s not perfect; the story takes a while to get going, and some systems can feel overwhelming at first, but the sheer freedom and scale more than makeup for it. If you love exploring alien worlds, building up a squad of oddballs, and fighting massive creatures with mechs, you’re going to have a blast here. And if you missed it on Wii U, this Switch version is, without question, the best way to play.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is a wonderful return for one of the Wii U’s most ambitious titles, offering an epic sci-fi world, exhilarating combat, and a thrilling sense of scale that makes exploration feel special. Whilst its silent protagonist and its chaotic nature can hold it back a little, the sheer thrill of exploration and the engaging combat mechanics make it a must-play for both Xenoblade fans and newcomers alike. It’s an adventure that’s well worth embarking on, and even this late in the console’s life cycle, it easily earns its place as one of the best RPGs on the Switch.
Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition is a must have Switch game, not only have Monolith Soft added massive improvements to the core gameplay over the Wii U version, I am convinced some black magic is going on as I still wonder how they have managed to make a game look this good and play as smooth as it does on a console that other companies seem to struggle to get even close to the performance or graphical fidelity that Monolith Soft always seem to do.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on the Nintendo Switch is a masterful blend of expansive exploration, engaging narrative themes, and refined gameplay mechanics, and it’s about time it made its way onto the Nintendo Switch.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is an exciting, fun video game that delivers a unique experience. It's a title capable of captivating you with everything you have to do, and while it doesn't have the best story, it works.

About ten years after its ill-fated debut on WiiU, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition reaches the planet Nintendo Switch giving new glory to the Monolith Soft masterpiece. An impressive JRPG today as it was then, exponentially improved in every respect: from graphics to sound, via gameplay. A title fully representative of the incredible talent of the development team, which even included juicy new content that will delight even those who already enjoyed it a decade ago. The Mira odyssey awaits us all: we are explorers, not guardians.

With over 60 hours of gameplay, and much more if you aim to complete every mission and uncover every corner of Mira, there's always something to keep you engaged. Despite its narrative shortcomings, it’s a world that’s easy to lose yourself in—whether it’s your first adventure or a return trip.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition successfully brings a forgotten cult classic to the Nintendo Switch with enhanced graphics, smoother performance, and quality-of-life improvements that make it more accessible, while still offering an awe-inspiring world to explore and a deep combat system, though some outdated elements like a cluttered interface and confusing mission structure remain.

While not without flaws, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is a fantastic remaster of an impeccable game. It adds several quality-of-life choices and new content that’s worth it alone for returning fans and makes it easily accessible to new players.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition makes it a must-play for both returning and new players. Though it may not be able to solve all of the original's flaws, it does enhance and show them in a way that makes the Mira experience more fascinating than it would ever be.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is, without a doubt, an excellent way to play the previously exclusive Wii U game, which, far from being a bad game, may not be suitable for all types of players.
