Monster Energy Supercross 25 - The Official Video Game Reviews
Monster Energy Supercross 25 is a tough to pick up, but rewarding to learn racing sim. The new physics, courtesy of Unreal Engine 5, makes this iteration of the series more realistic than ever, with ever-evolving track surfaces that make every lap different and exciting with each new attempt.
Monster Energy Supercross 25 is a terrible name for such a finely crafted game. This is for the hardcore fans of the sport and Milestone has gone the extra mile to make sure all the realism is intact. They could have done more to ease in casual players, but everything else is fantastic.
Ultimately, Monster Energy Supercross 25 is a competent but unspectacular entry in the series. The improved visuals and deeper career mode are welcome additions, but the core gameplay remains largely unchanged.
Monster Energy Supercross 25 represents a step forward from previous titles. The progress due to the adoption of UE5 is evident and has brought the series even closer to a true simulation. Some adjustments are still necessary to better balance the difficulty level, correct sporadic problems with the opponent AI, and improve the navigability of the UI.

This latest entry in the niche Supercross series is being billed as a reboot-thanks largely to its Unreal Engine 5 overhaul-but it hardly feels like one. Despite the visual upgrades, the same stiff rider animations and shallow Career mode make it feel more like a seasonal refresh than a true reinvention. I came in hoping for another fun, adrenaline-fueled bike game, but inconsistent physics and underwhelming features left me cold, especially considering the franchise's rich heritage and unique concept.
Ultimately, I didn't enjoy my time with Monster Energy Supercross 25, which is a shame because I've had a lot of fun with past games in the series and Supercross games in general over the years. There's a lot here in terms of content, with a robust career mode and track editor, and plenty of things to unlock along the way. However, I just didn't get on with the actual riding experience.
Overall, handlebars in hand, we are faced with one of the best chapters that Milestone has produced for the Monster Energy Supercross series , which improves in some key aspects and which, while not perfect, puts itself on the right track for the future.

Monster Energy Supercross 25: The Official Video Game is specifically for the hardcore motocross fanatic. Those fans will love things like the ability to play a current season of the sport and the presence of tangible track deformation. For everyone else, this is a difficult game to recommend. From the high difficulty level and steep learning curve to the bare-bones campaign, there's not enough to entice interested players to give this a try. At this rate, your best bet is to wait and see if this game or older entries in the series will reach Game Pass, so you can see if you can gel with this title.
The change of engine in Monster Energy Supercross 25 - The Official Video Game will bring, in the medium and long term, the necessary benefits to a franchise that was clearly stagnating. But the current version of the game still relies on its old qualities in gameplay, while suffering from the same limitations in both the visual presentation and the conservatism of the game modes.

Monster Energy Supercross 25 - The Official Video Game works mechanically and has a sense of style, but there's nothing to keep you playing past a certain point.
A revamped take on the series
Although Milestone insistently claims that they 'rebuilt the game from the ground up,' this is still a Milestone Supercross game, aside from a few changes. This time, they've focused a bit too much on 'simulation' - whether you like that or not is up to you.

Overall, Monster Energy Supercross 25 is one of those games that, if you're a fan of the previous entries in the series or motorcycling in general, you'll thoroughly enjoy. Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, the game's realistic physics delivers an exciting and breathtaking experience of the competitions. Additionally, the complete licensing of teams and riders allows you to feel the thrill of Supercross competitions in a more authentic way.

Tempest Rising is an honest product. It doesn't try to please everyone, it doesn't try to revolutionize anything, it doesn't make unrealistic promises. It does one thing, and it does it well: it reintroduces the classic RTS experience in all its glory--and in all its rigidity. It is a game that respects the times of those who lived through the golden age of strategy games, but one that risks seeming anachronistic in the eyes of new generations. Its lack of compromise is fascinating, but it may also be its greatest limitation.Monster Energy Supercross 25 is a solid but flawed evolution. Milestone has refined the formula, introduced new ideas, and tried to open up to a wider audience without distorting itself. The result is a game that can be punishing and technical, but also exciting, especially for those looking for a real challenge. However, some structural limitations remain: lackluster social modes, AI that can still be improved, slow progression and a few technical stumbles that break the immersiveness. For Supercross fans, it is a title to have. For everyone else, a good chance to get in the saddle -- but with a helmet strapped on.

Sometimes a two-year break is certainly good for one or other of the annual racing game series. This also applies in part to Monster Energy Supercross 25 - The Official Video Game. The switch to the latest Unreal engine brings improvements to the graphics, while the rest of the gameplay is definitely convincing, as in the previous parts. The AI in particular often does a good job and allows for exciting chases or shoulder-to-shoulder duels over several rounds. Thanks to various editors, there are plenty of customization options. The very good track editor should also be mentioned here, which is ultimately quite rudimentary, but still more than fulfills its purpose. And the Rhythm Attack mode, especially in the career mode, provides a nice break and surprisingly exciting duels right up to the finish line. All in all, Monster Energy Supercross 25 - The Official Video Game delivers a lot of tried and tested features and, apart from a few minor details, presents itself as a well-rounded package.

Monster Energy Supercross 25 offers a refined gameplay, strong of a new bike physics management and dynamicity of the tracks, succeeding in always giving us exciting and fun races. It unfortunately stumbles on a technical realization that leaves a bit of a sour taste and a certain lack of willingness to dare, but it still remains an excellent Supercross game.

Monster Energy Supercross 25 aims to split the difference between a simulation skill-demands and arcade accessibility but misses the mark.
The new game dedicated to Supercross represents a good step forward for the series. The gameplay has been further refined, thanks to the advice of the players and the online editor that adds hours and hours of extra fun, guaranteed by the creative spirit of the community. The modes offered by the title are not particularly numerous, but they cover the essentials for a title of this genre. Most of the features introduced in the career mode are taken from the 2024 edition of MotoGP, bringing with them the same problems encountered, especially with the introduction of the "Social" mode. On an artistic level, the game shows evident shortcomings, but the effort of the developers in improving the graphic rendering through more detailed textures must be recognized. Unfortunately, despite the improvements, the game will go relatively unnoticed (at least on European soil), given the small segment of fans and the high difficulty of the game that could initially discourage neophytes. In conclusion, Monster Energy Supercross 25 is far from being a perfect title, but the experience offered by the game certainly deserves your attention. The Milestone team has also promised extensive post-launch support, which will further improve gameplay and add new content in the coming months.
